Construction industry is a valuable industry that contributes 9.86% of Indonesia's GDP in the third quarter of 2023. Part of the reason for this is due to the fact that Indonesia is a developing country that annually increases the number of construction projects to meet the needs of the community. It caused the construction sector to absorb a large enough workforce of 5.92%. But sadly, this is inversely proportional to the level of work safety in Indonesia. In 2021, the construction sector has contributed 63.6% of the total number of work accidents in Indonesia. A new system is needed to improve safety performance in this industry. This research aims to develop a reward and punishment model for enhancing safety performance on construction projects in Indonesia. Data will be collected through respondent surveys which will be processed using Structural Equation Method - Partial Least Square methodology and at the last stage will be validated by the experts. From the results, it was found that there is a disagreement between survey respondents and experts regarding the reward and punishment model that would be effective to improve construction safety performance on building construction projects in Indonesia. However, it is evident that there is a significant relationship between this model and safety performance despite the presence of social cognitive barriers. This research hopefully will be useful for improving safety performance of constructions in Indonesia and the recommendation of reward and punishment model can be beneficial for the construction industry in the future."

Dostoyevsky, Fyodor, 1821-1881
"Abstract:
Part of Penguin's beautiful hardback Clothbound Classics series, designed by the award-winning Coralie Bickford-Smith, these delectable and collectible editions are bound in high-quality colourful, tactile cloth with foil stamped into the design. Raskolnikov, a destitute and desperate former student, wanders through the slums of St Petersburg and commits a random murder without remorse or regret. He imagines himself to be a great man, a Napoleon: acting for a higher purpose beyond conventional moral law. But as he embarks on a dangerous game of cat and mouse with Porfiry, a suspicious detective, Raskolnikov is pursued by the growing voice of his conscience and finds the noose of his own guilt tightening around his neck. Only Sonya, a downtrodden prostitute, can offer the chance of redemption. As the ensuing investigation and trial reveal the true identity of the murderer, Dostoyevsky's dark masterpiece evokes a world where the lines between innocence and corruption, good and evil, blur and everyone's faith in humanity is tested"

Dostoyevsky, Fyodor, 1821-1881
"Published to great acclaim and fierce controversy in 1866, Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment has left an indelible mark on global literature and our modern world, and is still known worldwide as the quintessential Russian novel. Readers of all backgrounds have debated its historical, cultural, and spiritual dimensions, probing the moral and ethical dilemmas that Dostoevsky so brilliantly stages throughout his narrative. Yet, at its heart, this masterpiece of literary realism is ultimately an immersive tale of passion and redemptionindeed, "the best of all murder stories" (Harold Bloom), "most perfect in pacing and structure. There is no more gripping novel in the world" (Michael Dirda). Now, acclaimed translator Michael R. Katz breathes fresh life into this ageless classic in a sparkling new translation, with novel insights into the linguistic richness, subtle tones, and cunning humor of Dostoevskys magnum opus. Embracing the complex linguistic blend inherent in modern literary Russian that has provided an exceptionally fertile source of images and diction for Russian writers since the time of Pushkin, Katz recaptures the richness of tone and register of the novels most poignant and significant passages. Sensitive to this linguistic mosaic, Katz ably recreates the feeling of the original Russian for the English reader, allowing the text to evoke the same stirring emotional responses as the author intended. With its searing and unique portrayal of the labyrinthine universe of nineteenth-century Russia, this masterful rendering of Crime and Punishment will be the translation of choice for years to come.

According to moral credential theory, the punishment of offenders is decided by the domain of offenses. This research attempts to prove that moral credential, in the form of punishment leniency, happens in offenses with invisible victims, while stronger punishment appears in offenses with visible victims. This research consists of four studies, involving 893 participants with mixed methods qual rarr;Quan. Three quantitative research used population based-survey experiment, comparing gratification offenses invisiblet victims vs. visible victims and speeding invisiblet victims vs. visible victims . Narratives on the honorable duty of Police/Doctors/Teachers are given in participant rsquo;s procedure, followed with a task to give proper criminal punishment to the vignette of gratification offenses, and social reactions to speed violations. Offenses in the different domain proved that moral credential affected leniency in criminal punishment, only in offenses with invisible victims, while moral credential weakened in offenses with visible victims, resulting in heavier punishment for the offenders. Police who received gratifications with the victim is punished heavier by observers and his/her group. However, the offender is still seen as a moral and professional person. Social identification and meaning of good deeds are not confirmed statistically, but the different of job type consider as moderator. Punishment of Police is based on the Black Sheep Effect BSE mechanism, while the punishment of Doctors is using Devil Protection Effect DPE mechanism. Contributions and implications of the theory are explained in discussion."
