"The aim of this study is to measure life satisfaction of
eiders and to examine the impact of social support on life
satisfaction. Diener and Biswas Diener (ZOUI) mentioned that in a
human nature approach, having one is biological needs mer,
engaging in interesting activities, and having the presence of social
support are seen as necessary and sufficient for high subjective
well-being (S WB). Whereas life satisfaction is one of SWB'
components, this theory has been used in this research. Effects of
instrumental, informational, emotional, and appraisal support on
life satisfaction of eiders in Iran were tested by analyzing data
collected from a random sample of 384 persons aged 65 and over
who participated in the spring of 2007 survey. The mean of life
satisfaction in sample obtained 16.5 with standard deviation of
3.49. Multiple regression (stepwise) was used to determine whether
social support (also entered demographic variables in regression)
influence elder's life satisfaction. Findings reveal that appraisal
support (adequacy of support or the degree of satisfaction with
support from children and relatives) directly improves elder life
satisfaction (RJ= 0.883 and Beta= (1438). There was a relationship
between emotion, instrumental and informational support, age,
number of children and education with life satisfaction of elders.
The results show psychological importance and benefits of social
support. This research suggests that because of these benefits of
social support, policy makers, beside making policies with the
propose to improve elder's welfare should also have to reinforce
traditional culture.

"Hustle culture pada mahasiswa dapat memengarui tingkat kesejahteraan mereka. Secara khusus, mahasiswa berkewajiban menyelesaikan studi dengan baik dan membutuhkan ketersediaan dukungan sosial yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran persepsi dukungan sosial dan prestasi akademis terhadap kepuasan hidup mahasiswa. Keseluruhan partisipan berjumlah 130 orang yang berusia 18–25 tahun (M = 21,03, SD = 1,034) dan merupakan mahasiswa aktif Universitas Indonesia. Variabel pada penelitian ini diukur menggunakan Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), dan Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi dukungan sosial dan prestasi akademis secara bersama-sama berperan signifikan terhadap kepuasan hidup (R2 = 0,288, F(2, 127) = 25,624, p = 0,000). Perguruan tinggi diharapkan dapat membuat program yang memfasilitasi dukungan sosial sekaligus meningkatkan prestasi akademis mahasiswa.

Hustle culture among college students can influence their level of well-being. Specifically, college students must complete their studies well and they need adequate social support. This study aims to examine the role of perceived social support and academic achievement on students' life satisfaction. There are a total of 130 participants aged 18–25 (M = 21,03, SD = 1,034) who are active students at the University of Indonesia. Variables in this study were measured using Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and Grade Point Average (GPA). The results of the study indicate that perceived social support and academic achievement simultaneously contribute to life satisfaction (R2 = 0.288, F(2, 127) = 25.624, p = 0.000). Universities are encouraged to develop programs that facilitate students' social support while also enhancing their academic achievement."

"Penyelenggaraan sistem jaminan sosial negara yang efektif berperan penting dalam menjamin perlindungan pendapatan dan kesehatan masyarakat demi mencapai stabilitas kesejahteraan. Di Indonesia, pemerintah mereformasi sistem jaminan sosial dengan mengesahkan UU tentang Sistem Jaminan Sosial Nasional (SJSN) dan menetapkan Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) untuk memberikan layanan yang bisa menjangkau seluruh rakyat Indonesia. Jaminan sosial berfungsi untuk melindungi masyarakat dari pengeluaran yang tidak terduga, dan memberikan rasa aman dari ketidakpastian sehingga dapat meningkatkan kepuasan hidup mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dampak dari penyelenggaraan program BPJS sejak tahun 2014 terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif masyarakat Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan data IFLS gelombang 4 dan 5 serta metode Difference-in-Differences (DID) yang dikombinasikan dengan Propensity Score Matching (PSM), penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kepemilikan BPJS akan meningkatkan probabilitas individu memiliki tingkat kebahagiaan yang semakin tinggi. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya peningkatan optimalisasi program BPJS, tidak hanya dari jumlah kepesertaan saja, tetapi juga melalui peningkatan kualitas layanan dan kemudahan akses agar manfaat yang diterima masyarakat bisa memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan subjektif mereka.

The implementation of an effective state social security system plays an important role in ensuring the protection of people's income and health in order to achieve welfare stability. In Indonesia, the government reformed the social security system by passing UU Sistem Jaminan Sosial Nasional (SJSN) and establishing Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) to provide services that can reach all Indonesian citizen. Social security functions to protect people from unexpected expenses, and provides a sense of security from uncertainty so that it can increase their life satisfaction. This research aims to see the impact of BPJS program implementation since 2014 on the subjective well-being of the Indonesian citizen. By using IFLS wave 4 and 5 data and the Difference-in-Differences (DID) method combined with Propensity Score Matching (PSM), this research found that ownership of BPJS will increase the probability of an individual having a higher level of happiness. These findings emphasize the importance of increasing the optimization of the BPJS program, not only in the number of participants, but also through improving the quality of services and ease of access so that the benefits received by the community can have a significant influence on their subjective well-being.

"Instansi pemerintah merupakan salah satu dari delapan klaster sebagai penyumbang kasus Covid-19 terbesar di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, mekanisme kerja yang lebih fleksibel atau flexible working arrangement menjadi alternatif yang semakin dipertimbangkan pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Meski demikian, dampak dari implementasi flexible working arrangement terhadap kinerja individu maupun organisasi masih menjadi perdebatan. Di sisi lain, beberapa studi mengidentifikasi bahwa dukungan dari atasan juga dapat mempengaruhi dampak psikologis karyawan yang akan berimplikasi pada pencapaian work-life balance karyawan. Tercapainya work-life balance diharapkan dapat menghasilkan outcomes yang positif dari para karyawan di antaranya kepuasan kerja dan kinerja yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara flexible work arrangement, dukungan atasan terhadap kepuasan dan kinerja, dimediasi oleh work-life balance pada pegawai ASN pada instansi pemerintah di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan cross sectional design. Kuesioner disebarkan secara online dan memperoleh 391 responden yang meliputi pegawai ASN yang telah bekerja setidaknya selama satu tahun pada instansi pemerintah di Indonesia. Analisis hubungan antar variabel dilakukan melalui Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) menggunakan bantuan software LISREL. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisor support dan flexible working arrangement secara signifikan mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja (job satisfaction) yang dimediasi oleh work-life balance. Secara lebih lanjut, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kepuasan kerja memiliki hubungan langsung terhadap kinerja (job performance). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa supervisor support dan flexible working arrangement secara tidak langsung dapat mempengaruhi job performance.

Government institutions are on of the eight clusters as the largest contributors of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia. Therefore, a more flexible working mechanism or flexible working arrangement to become alternative that is increasingly being considered during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the impact of flexible working arrangements implementation on individual and organizational performance is still a matter of debate. On the other hand, several studies have identified that support from supervisor also have a role in influencing the psychological impact on employees which will have implications to the employees’ work-life balance. The achievement of work-life balance is expected to produce positive outcomes, including the achievement of job satisfaction and high performance. This study aims to identify the relationship between flexible working arrangements, supervisor support on job satisfaction and job performance, mediated by the work-life balance of civil servants in government institutions in Indonesia. This research is a quantitative research. The data were collected by distributing questionnaire conducted using a cross sectional design. The questionnaire was distributed online and obtained 391 respondents which included civil servants who have worked for at least one year in government institution in Indonesia. The relationship between variables was carried out through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using LISREL software. The results of the study indicate that supervisor support and flexible working arrangements significantly affect job satisfaction mediated by work-life balance. Furthermore, this study found that job satisfaction has a direct relationship to job performance. Thus, it can be concluded that supervisor support and flexible working arrangements indirectly affect employees’ job performance."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran kepuasan gaji dan kepuasan karier pada kepuasan hidup Generasi Y. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan alat ukur Job Satisfaction Scale untuk mengukur kepuasan gaji, Career Satisfaction Scale untuk mengukur kepuasan karier, dan Satisfaction with Life Scale untuk mengukur kepuasan hidup. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner online pada 116 karyawan Generasi Y dengan convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan karier lebih dapat berperan dalam memprediksi kepuasan hidup dibandingkan kepuasan gaji pada karyawan Generasi Y. Oleh karena itu, perusahaan perlu mempertimbangkan untuk memberi perhatian khusus pada kepuasan karier karyawan Generasi Y.

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of pay satisfaction and career satisfaction to life satisfaction in Generation Y. This is a quantitative study using Job Satisfaction Scale to measure pay satisfaction, Career Satisfaction Scale to measure career satisfaction, and Satisfaction with Life Scale to measure life satisfaction. Data collection was done using online questionnaire to 116 Generation Y employees with convenience sampling. Study results shows that career satisfaction can predict life satisfaction more than pay satisfaction. Hence, companies should consider giving close attention to career satisfaction of Generation Y employees."

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis work-family balance sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara dukungan sosial dari multiple domain dan kepuasan kerja pekerja offshore. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif melalui pengisian kuesioner secara self administered survey. Sebanyak 230 responden telah mengisi kuesioner penelitian ini secara online dan offline. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa work-family balance memiliki peran mediasi terhadap dua sumber dukungan sosial, yaitu dukungan atasan dan pasangan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa meningkatnya work-family balance dikarenakan dukungan sosial yang diterima oleh pekerja offshore yang berdampak pada kepuasan kerja. Work-family balance tidak memberikan nilai yang signifikan pada relasi dukungan rekan kerja terhadap kepuasan kerja, akan tetapi terdapat korelasi yang positif.

 


This research analyzes work-family balance as a mediator of the relationship between social support from multiple domain and job satisfaction on offshore workers. This research used quantitative methods employing self-administered survey. A total of 230 respondents filled out the questionnaire, both online and offline. The analysis involved the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The finding showed that work-family balance had a mediating role in two sources of social supports (supervisor support and partner support). This result indicated that increasing work family balance was due to social support received by offshore workers that affects job satisfaction. Work family balance did not provide significant effect on the relationship of co-worker support and job satisfaction; however, there was a positive correlation.

"Implementasi telework mengalami percepatan karena pesatnya perkembangan teknologi dan informasi. Selain itu adanya kondisi pandemi COVID-19 juga turut meningkatkan jumlah organisasi yang menerapkan telework. Tetapi ada beberapa masalah implementasi telework yang tersisa dan  perlu menjadi perhatian dari perusahaan. Banyak pekerja merasa terisolasi secara sosial dari tempat kerja mereka, yang dapat mempengaruhi peningkatan stres mereka. Selain itu berdasarkan hasil penelitian empiris dan survey yang dilakukan oleh berbagai institusi menyimpulkan perlu juga dipertimbangkan pengaruh telework pada stres kerja, work-life balance , dan job satisfaction. Studi ini menyelidiki bagaimana telework dan isolasi sosial mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja dengan efek mediasi stres kerja dan keseimbangan kehidupan kerja di Indonesia . Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner berbasis daring. Analisis model dilakukan dengan menggunakan Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) terhadap 280 orang responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi telework berpengaruh positif terhadap job satisfaction. Telework terbukti berdampak positif terhadap work-life balance dan menurunkan job stress. Namun social isolation yang dirasakan karywan memberikan dampak negatif terhadap job satisfaction. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa work-life balance dapat memediasi hubungan antara telework dan job satisfaction. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi telework yang memberikan otonomi dan fleksibilitas dapat berimplikasi positif terhadap job satisfaction.

The implementation of telework has accelerated due to advances in technology and COVID-19 which has changed the way people live for years. But there are some lingering problems with telework need to be addressed. Many workers feel socially isolated from their workplace, which may affect their stress increment. There are also mixed results of the effects of telework on work stress, work-life balance, and job satisfaction from previous studies. This study investigates how telework and social isolation affect job satisfaction with mediating effects of work stress and work-life balance in Indonesia. This research was conducted with 280 remote workers as participants. The hypotheses were then tested with Structural Equation Modelling using LISREL 8.8 for windows. This research finds that telework has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Telework has been proven to have a positive impact on work-life balance and reduce work stress. However, the social isolation felt by employees has a negative impact on job satisfaction. This study proves that work-life balance can mediate the relationship between telework and job satisfaction. From this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of telework which provides autonomy and flexibility can have a positive impact on employee job satisfaction."

"Studi evaluasi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengukur valuasi dampak sosial program pemberdayaan CSR Bakti Sehat United Tractors dalam upaya meningkatkan capacity building menggunakan analisis Social Return on Investment (SROI). Studi sebelumnya memperlihatkan tantangan program pemberdayaan yang dianggap kurang mampu memperlihatkan manfaat terukur secara ekonomi. Padahal ada kebutuhan perusahaan untuk mengukur dampak investasi sosial mereka secara ekonomi dan di sisi lain karakteristik penerima manfaat yang pragmatis dan oportunis cenderung ingin melihat hasil jangka pendek, berwujud dan terukur. Oleh karena itu studi evaluasi ini menggunakan analisis SROI untuk mengidentifikasi, menjustifikasi, dan memonetisasi pengukuran manfaat sosial ekonomi pada program pemberdayaan secara partisipatif dengan pelibatan segenap stakeholder program. Analisis SROI dikombinasikan dengan evaluasi means-ends dan capacity building untuk mengawal proses tahapan program yang diindikasikan sebagai pemicu capaian dampak dan ukuran manfaat. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa Program Bakti Sehat United Tractors berhasil memberikan dampak peningkatan kualitas kesehatan dan peningkatan kapasitas penerima manfaat, namun hanya parsial pada sebagian penerima manfaat. Adapun penggalian indikator nilai dampak secara partisipatif menghasilkan besaran dampak moneter yaitu 1.37 kali lebih besar dari nilai investasi perusahaan. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa di tengah potensi program pemberdayaan dalam meningkatkan kapasitas dan menghasilkan outcome berkelanjutan, kondisi praktik program pemberdayaan kurang mampu memperlihatkan bukti dampak moneter di tengah karakteristik sosial kultural komunitas yang pragmatis.

This evaluation study aims to identify and measure the social impact of Bakti Sehat United Tractors program in increasing capacity building using Social Return on Investment analysis. Previous studies have shown that empowerment programs are considered to less able to provide measurable economic benefits. Whereas there is a need for companies to measure the economic impact of their social investment, also the pragmatic and opportunist characteristics of beneficiaries tend to get the short-term, tangible, and measurable results in a program. Therefore, this evaluation study uses SROI to identify, justify, and monetize the measurement of socio-economic benefits in a participatory analysis involving all stakeholders. The study also uses means-ends and capacity building analysis to support the SROI method to oversee the process of a program which are indicated as triggers in achieving impact and benefit measures. The results show that Bakti Sehat UT has succeeded in increasing beneficiaries' capacity but only partially impacted some beneficiaries. The participatory measurement resulted that the monetary impact values is 1.37 times greater than the company's investment value. These results show that in the midst of the program’s specialty in increasing capacity and producing sustainable outcomes, the practice conditions of empowerment programs are less able to show evidence of monetary impact on the socio-cultural characteristics of pragmatic communities."
