"The concept of TQM and BPR focuses on process improvement and the implementation of process vision may take several years. Therefore,the commitment of the senior management is important to motivate the managers and employees who would make the changes work and curb their impatience during the long course of process improvement. Although the integration of TQM and BPR is ideal and may spread over a long period of time, it can be extremely beneficial to companies that are firmly committed to process management over long term.The improvement in the information technology in the coming years may make the integration of TQM and BPR more viable in terms of time and investment."

"Peningkatan persaingan industri jasa otomotif dan sektor perusahaan yang melayani kendaraan komersial menuntut perusahaan untuk memberikan layanan dengan kecepatan dan kualitas layanan yang baik. Layanan One Day Service menjadi solusi perusahaan untuk memenangkan persaingan dan memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggannya. Divisi otomotif bertugas untuk menjalankan dan mengembangkan layanan ini. Kinerja layanan saat ini belum optimal karena masih terdapat keterlambatan layanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki layanan One Day Service dengan menggunakan pendekatan Business Process Improvement (BPI) yaitu dengan metodologi Model Based and Integrated Process Improvement (MIPI). Metodologi MIPI merupakan salah satu metode BPI yang memiliki pendekatan dengan struktur terbaik. Penggunaan metode MIPI pada penelitian ini terbatas sampai pada tahap merancang ulang proses. Perancangan perbaikan proses dilakukan sesuai dengan metode MIPI yang diawali dengan pemahaman kebutuhan bisnis, pemetaan proses aktual, analisis untuk mencari penyebab keterlambatan layanan, dan dilanjutkan dengan perancangan ulang proses. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perancangan ulang proses dapat menurunkan waktu proses layanan sebesar 54,58%.

The increasing of competition in automotive service industry and the industry sector which serving commercial vehicles forced company to provide services with effecient and good service quality. One Day Service is the company's solution to win the competition and meet the needs of its customers. The automotive division is responsible to run and develop this service. The existing service performance is not optimal because there are still service delays. This study aims to improve the One Day Service using the Business Process Improvement (BPI) approach, namely the Model Based and Integrated Process Improvement (MIPI) methodology. The MIPI methodology is one of the BPI methods that has well structural approach. The use of the MIPI method in this research is limited to the stage of redesigning the process. The process improvement design is carried out according to the MIPI method, starting with understanding business needs, mapping the existing process, analyzing to find the causes of service delays, and followed with process redesign. The results showed that process redesign can reduce service processing time by about 54,58%.

"Untuk mengatasi COVID-19, vaksin perlu didistribusikan secara masif dan cepat. Pada kenyataannya, ditemukan beberapa permasalahan dalam pendistribusian vaksin COVID-19, antara lain manajemen pemesanan yang tidak efisien, birokrasi yang memakan waktu, dan ketinggalan penerbangan yang berujung pada penarikan vaksin ke pusat distribusi. Manajemen rantai pasokan memainkan peran penting dalam memastikan efisiensi distribusi vaksin COVID-19. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk merancang peningkatan distribusi outbound vaksin COVID-19 di Indonesia untuk meningkatkan kinerja logistik menggunakan Business Process Reengineering. Observasi dilakukan untuk memperoleh data primer penelitian ini, dan waktu diperoleh dari data historis. Proses tersebut dipetakan menggunakan Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) dan disimulasikan menggunakan software iGrafx. Kajian ini menghasilkan peningkatan radikal pada distribusi outbound vaksin COVID-19, yang mengubah waktu proses dari 74,57 jam menjadi 35,81 jam, dengan penerapan Sistem Informasi dengan Integrasi API, QR Code, dan teknologi Sign on Glass.

To tackle COVID-19, the vaccine needs to be distributed massively and rapidly. In reality, some problems are found in COVID-19 vaccine distribution, including inefficient order management, time-consuming bureaucracy, and missed flights that lead to the withdrawal of vaccines to the distribution center. Supply chain management plays a significant role in ensuring the distribution efficiency of the COVID-19 vaccine. This paper aims to design the improved outbound distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine in Indonesia to increase logistics performance using Business Process Reengineering. Observation is conducted to gain primary data of this research, and time is obtained from historical data. The process is mapped using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and simulated using iGrafx software. This study results in a radical improvement of the COVID-19 vaccines' outbound distribution, which changes the process time from 74,57 hours to 35,81 hours, with implementation Information Sistem with API Integration, QR Code, and Sign on Glass technology."

"Peningkatan persaingan dalam industri otomotif mengharuskan setiap perusahaan terus melakukan perbaikan terhadap proses bisnisnya untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektifitas kinerja perusahaan. Aktifitas perbaikan dapat berjalan lancar apabila didukung oleh fasilitas yang memadai, salah satunya adalah fasilitas fisik pabrik. Production Engineering ( PE ) merupakan divisi yang ditugaskan untuk menangani proses pengadaan fasilitas fisik / bangunan di perusahaan otomotif tempat penelitian ini dilakukan.
Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Metode dari Adesola dan Baines yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat 7 tahap untuk memperbaiki proses. Karena keterbatasan kewenangan, penelitian dilakukan hanya sampai tahap merancang ulang proses. Perbaikan dilakukan dengan menggunakan pemetaan lalu dilakukan analisa untuk mencari penyebab permasalahan.
Kesimpulannya adalah penyebab keterlambatan karena 63% proyek mengalami keterlambatan pada saat memulai pekerjaan ( project start ). Usulan perbaikan yang diberikan untuk mengurangi dan menghilangkan kelemahan kelemahan proses yang diperoleh dari analisa diagram sebab akibat dan aktifitas yang tidak menambah nilai. Dari hasil perhitungan waktu proses dengan menggunakan Igrafx diperoleh persentase pengurangannya sebesar 35%.

The increasing of competition in automotive industry has forced every company to do a business process improvement in order to achieve higher effective and efficient company process. That improvement will be running well and if supported by appropriate facilities, one of them is plant facilities. Production Engineering (PE) is the division which has a responsibility to ensure of building facility construction in the company where this research done.
The method that will be used for business process improvement in this project is Adesola and Baines methods. Based on this method, there are seven main steps to improve any process. Due to the role/responsible limitation, this project only done until re-designs the process step. Improvement is done by using mapping process and then analyzing process to find the root of problems.
After doing overall project, we can conclude that the delay in completion of supplying of building material happened since 63% delay of projects start. Improvement suggestion for this process are reduce and eliminate the weakness of process that found from caused and effect diagram and non value added analyze. By using calculation Igrafx software, the percentage reducing of cycle time after improvement is about 35%.

"Supply Chain pada industri agribisnis sangat dipengaruhi oleh fasilitas penyimpanan. Pisang yang telah dipanen perlu disimpan dengan baik sebelum didistribusikan ke pembeli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang perbaikan proses bisnis gudang pisang dengan memanfaatkan Internet of Things (IoT) untuk meningkatkan efisiensi waktu penyimpanan. Metode Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) digunakan untuk merancang perbaikan proses operasional gudang menggunakan perangkat lunak iGrafx. Perbaikan proses bisnis dilakukan pada proses inbound, ripening, dan outbound. Penelitian ini menghasilkan dua skenario pada proses inbound, skenario 1 menggunakan automated inventory system berbasis RFID menjadi skenario dengan efisiensi waktu yang paling besar yaitu 18%. Proses ripening ada tiga skenario, skenario 3 menggabungkan penggunaan automated inventory system berbasis RFID dan automated monitoring system memiliki efisiensi yang palig tinggi yaitu sebesar 24%. Model sistem informasi dengan Structured System Development (SSD) dirancang untuk mendukung proses bisnis perbaikan dengan mengadopsi teknologi automated inventory system berbasis RFID dan automated monitoring system.

Supply Chain in the agribusiness industry is strongly influenced by warehouse facilities. Bananas that have been harvested need to be stored properly before being distributed to buyers. This study aims to design business process improvements by using the Internet of Things (IoT) to increase storage time efficiency. The Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) method was used to design improvements to warehouse operational process using the iGrafx software. Improvements to warehouse operations are carried out on the inbound, ripening, and outbound process. This study resulted in two scenarios in the inbound process, scenario 1 using an automated inventory system based on RFID becomes the scenario with the greatest time efficiency of 18%. The ripening process has three scenarios, scenario 3 which combines the use of an automated inventory system based on RFID and an automated monitoring system has the highest efficiency of 24%. The information system model with the Structured System Development method is designed to support business process improvements by adopting an automated inventory system technology based on RFID and an automated monitoring system"

"Pandemi COVID-19 berdampak pada penjualan kendaraan otomotif. Banyak perusahaan otomotif yang mengalihkan fokus dari penjualan ke layanan purna jual, dan tren layanan purna jual mulai pulih dan memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap pendapatan. Seiring dengan pertumbuhan teknologi digital dan e-commerce, perusahaan otomotif harus beradaptasi dan mengembangkan strategi baru untuk bersaing dengan pesaing mereka dan memaksimalkan potensi mereka dalam layanan purna jual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang perbaikan proses bisnis dengan menggunakan Business Process Reengineering (BPR) untuk meningkatkan efisiensi waktu perjalanan layanan purna jual di salah satu perusahaan otomotif di Indonesia. Metode tersebut digunakan untuk merancang perbaikan perjalanan layanan menggunakan perangkat lunak iGrafx. Penyempurnaan dilakukan pada seluruh perjalanan layanan mobil, mulai dari penerimaan pelanggan hingga pengiriman layanan dan pembayaran. Pengumpulan data mengenai proses service mobil dilakukan di salah satu perusahaan otomotif di Indonesia. Metode tersebut terdiri dari tiga langkah yaitu mapping as-is process, analisis as-is process, dan modeling to-be process. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan skenario solusi proses to-be dengan pengurangan waktu paling tinggi.

The COVID-19 pandemic has harmed automotive vehicle sales. A lot of automotive companies have shifted their focus from sales to after-sales service, and the trend in after- sales service is starting to recover and has a big contribution to the revenue. Along with the growth of digital technology and e-commerce, automotive companies must adapt and develop new strategies to compete with their competitors and maximize their potential in after-sales service. This study aims to design business process improvements by using Business Process Reengineering (BPR) to increase the time efficiency of the after-sales service journey in one of the automotive companies in Indonesia. The method is used to design improvements to the service journey using the iGrafx software. Improvements are carried out on the whole journey of car service, starting from customer reception until service delivery and payment. Data collection regarding the car service process was collected in one of the automotive companies in Indonesia. The method consists of three steps namely mapping as-is process, analyzing as-is process, and modelling to-be process. The results of this study obtained an improvement scenario of a to-be process with the highest reduction in time."

"RS Abdi Waluyo adalah sebuah RS tipe C di Jakarta Pusat. Berdasarkan data rumah sakit tahun 2023, rasio pengambilan resep di farmasi rawat jalan mengalami penurunan dari 84% (Januari) ke 61% (September). Fokus penelitian ini terutama pada keluhan lamanya menunggu obat hingga 1-4 jam, terutama bagi pasien asuransi yang mendapatkan obat racikan. Terlebih lagi pada pre-survey terkesan adanya inefisiensi proses, adanya alur yang berulang karena staff perlu menginput obat pesanan berulang kali. Peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan business process improvement (BPI) untuk memperoleh gambaran proses bisnis, mengidentifikasi permasalahan, merumuskan langkah perbaikan, dan menilai implementasi dari intervensi perbaikan yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian mixed method di mana penelitian kualitatif dilakukan sesuai 5 fase BPI yaitu Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC). Adapun informa Informan dalam penelitian ini, adalah: Direktur Medik, Kepala Penunjang Medik, Kepala Unit Rawat Jalan, Kepala Farmasi. Sementara penelitian kuantitatif dilakukan terhadap seluruh resep pasien asuransi rawat jalan di RS Abdi Waluyo di bulan November 2023, sebelum dan sesudah implementasi intervensi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang proses bisnis farmasi rawat jalan dan memberikan masukan perbaikan yang berarti bagi manajemen rumah sakit dalam meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan farmasi rawat jalan.

Abdi Waluyo Hospital is a type C hospital in Central Jakarta. Based on hospital data in 2023, the ratio of prescriptions taken at outpatient pharmacy has decreased from 84% (January) to 61% (September). The focus of this research is mainly on complaints regarding the long wait for medications, up to 1-4 hours, especially for insurance patients who receive compounded medications. Moreover, the pre-survey showed that there were inefficient processes associated with some were repetitive steps done by the staffs, e.g. when inputting orders to the hospital information system. This research was conducted using business process improvement (BPI) method to obtain an overview of business processes, identify problems, formulate improvement steps, and assess the implementation of the performed interventions. This is a mixed method research where qualitative study was carried out adhering to the 5 phases of BPI, namely Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC). The informants involved were: Medical Director, Head of Medical Support, Head of Outpatient Unit, Head of Pharmacy. Meanwhile, quantitative study was conducted on all insurance outpatient prescriptions at Abdi Waluyo in November 2023, before and after the intervention. The results of this research will provide a deeper understanding on outpatient pharmacy business processes and provide meaningful input for improvements for hospital management in increasing the efficiency of outpatient pharmacy services."
