"ABSTRAKTesis ini bertujuan untuk melihat dampak ketimpangan pendidikan yang diukurdengan koefisien gini pendidikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketimpangan pendidikan Indonesia masihtergolong ketimpangan rendah sepanjang tahun 2000-2010 karena nilai ginipendidikannya selalu berada di bawah nilai 0,3. Melalui metode estimasiGeneralized Method of Moment terhadap data panel level provinsi di Indonesia,diperoleh dampak negatif ketimpangan pendidikan terhadap pertumbuhanekonomi. Kenaikan 1 satuan gini pendidikan akan memperlambat pertumbuhanekonomi sebesar 0,204 persen secara signifikan. Oleh karena itu, ketimpanganpendidikan patut menjadi perhatian pemerintah karena berpotensi dalammenghambat pertumbuhan ekonomi.

ABSTRACTThis study aims to examine the impact of education inequality by measuring theeducation gini coefficient on economic growth in Indonesia. The results showedthat the education inequality in Indonesia is still relatively low inequality during2000-2010 for education gini value is always below 0.3. By estimationGeneralized Method of Moments to the provincial level panel data in Indonesia, itshows a negative impact of education inequality on economic growth. Wheneducation gini increase 1 unit, it will slow economic growth by 0.204 percentsignificantly. Therefore, the education inequality should be the government'sattention for discouraging economic growth potentially."

"Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh kolektivisme pada fenomena demam pendidikan di Korea Selatan. Kolektivisme merujuk pada kecenderungan masyarakat untuk mengutamakan kepentingan kelompok daripada individu. Pada masyarakat yang menganut budaya kolektivisme, individu cenderung memiliki konstruksi diri interdependen yang berfokus pada hubungan sosial terutama ingroup. Dalam konteks pendidikan Korea Selatan yang sangat kompetitif, kolektivisme memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membentuk pola perilaku siswa, tekanan akademik, dan norma sosial terkait pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana budaya kolektivisme diterapkan dalam masyarakat Korea Selatan dan bagaimana perannya dalam unsur-unsur fenomena pendidikan, seperti respons siswa, orang tua, masyarakat, serta sistem pendidikan yang ada. Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya kolektivisme memengaruhi sekaligus mendasari sikap dan respons siswa, orang tua, dan masyarakat secara keseluruhan dalam fenomena demam pendidikan.

This study analyzes the influence of collectivism in the education fever phenomenon in South Korea. Collectivism refers to a society's tendency to prioritize the interests of the group over the individual. In societies that embrace a culture of collectivism, individuals tend to have interdependent self-constructions that focus on social relationships, especially the ingroup. In the highly competitive context of South Korean education, collectivism has a significant role in shaping student behavior patterns, academic pressures, and social norms related to education. This research aims to explain how the culture of collectivism in South Korean society and how it plays a role in elements of educational phenomena, such as the response of students, parents, society, and the existing education system. The author uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. The results of this study show that collectivist culture influences and underlies the attitudes and responses of students, parents and society as a whole in the phenomenon of education fever."
