Jakob Heym, the leading man in Jakob the Liar is considered as a hero, although he has no hero-qualities prior to what people had in mind. As a hero he only uses a single weapon, lies, to rebuild his communities' hope and spirit to survive in a Poland ghetto. Therefore he had deconstructed the meaning and function of lies. He had managed to transform a common and constructively negative thing into a valuable one."

"Film Kebab Connection dan Soul Kitchen yang menjadi fokus utama dalam tulisan ini adalah karya Fatih Akin, seorang sutradara Jerman keturunan Turki. Kedua film menceritakan kehidupan imigran Jerman dengan banyak konflik budaya yang terjadi antara budaya asal dengan budaya sekarang yaitu budaya Jerman. Kedua film komedi ini juga sama-sama menjadikan elemen restoran sebagai latar utama di dalamnya. Tulisan ini mengkaji keterkaitan antara diaspora bangsa Turki dan Yunani di Jerman dengan elemen kuliner yang juga merupakan bagian dari kebudyaan yang dibawa para imigran.Fokus utama dalam penelitian ini ialah konstruksi makna ldquo;Heimat rdquo; dalam kedua film tersebut dengan penerapan analisis film sebagai teks. Maka dari itu saya menggunakan penerapan teori representasi dan identitas yang ada pada model circuit of culture oleh Stuart Hall. Tiap bagian scene dalam filim ini akan dipilih sesuai kebutuhan dan dianalisis menggunakan konstruksi Heimat melalui konsep representasi dan identitas."

"This thesis was made in order to prove how a heroic figure in Schindler's List, Oskar Schindler, is deconstructed in his role and also to prove that the definition of a word hero is different in comparison with traditional hero notion. Based on the problem that has been mentioned before, the analysis was made by analyzing the figures and their dialogues inside film. Dekonstruksi Derrida terhadap oposisi biner tidak untuk mencari makna, melainkan menciptakan makna yang terkait dengan teks, konteks, intertekstualitas, penafsir, dan permainan bahasa. Derrida menolak oposisi biner dan muncul pluralitas makna.

"ABSTRAKArtikel ini akan membahas tentang sebuah film yang berjudul Marguerite 2015 karya Xavier Giannoli yang sangat kuat menampilkan simbolisasi warna putih. Simbol-simbol tersebut akan dianalisis menggunakan konsep pengkajian sinema yang dikemukakan oleh Denis Petrie dan Joe Boggs dalam bukunya yang berjudul The Art of Watching Films. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa alur pada film ini digerakkan adanya tema besar kebohongan pada umumnya dan white lies pada khususnya. Selain itu, ditemukan juga simbolisasi warna putih yang berkaitan erat dengan watak polos dan naif yang dimiliki oleh tokoh utamanya, Marguerite Dumont.

ABSTRACTThis article will discuss about a film titled Marguerite 2015 by Xavier Giannoli that strongly shows white symbolization. The symbols will be analyzed using the concept of cinema review proposed by Denis Petrie and Joe Boggs from their book, The Art of Watching Films. The results of the analysis show that the flow in this film is driven by a major theme of lies in general and white lies in particular. In addition, also found a symbol of white color that is closely related to the plain and na ve character possessed by the main character, Marguerite Dumont."

"ABSTRAKSebuah karya dapat dikatakan sebagai sastra anak jika citraan dan metafora kehidupan yang dikisahkan dapat dijangkau dan dipahami oleh anak sesuai dengan perkembangan psikis. Salah satu genre dalam sastra anak adalah fantasi. Genre fantasi dalam sastra Jerman dikenal dengan istilah sastra anak fantastis phantastische Kinderliteratur . Salah satunya adalah novel Lale und der goldene Brief karya Regula Venske. Novel ini menceritakan tokoh Lale, seorang anak yang melakukan petualangan untuk mengantarkan surat kepada Rumi Armut. Berdasarkan hasil penelusuran yang dilakukan, belum ada hasil penelitian yang mengulas novel ini. Padahal di dalamnya terkandung nilai fantastis yang kuat, imajinasi yang tinggi, serta unsur didaktis yang dibutuhkan anak-anak untuk mengenal siapa dirinya. Rumusan masalah yang muncul adalah bagaimana penggambaran motif pencarian identitas diri dan arketipe pahlawan pada tokoh Lale dalam novel Lale und der goldene Brief. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menelisik bagaimana penggambaran motif pencarian identitas diri dan arketipe pahlawan pada tokoh Lale. Teori yang digunakan adalah phantastische Kinderliteratur, arketipe pahlawan Jung 1916 , dan petualangan pahlawan hero rsquo;s journey Campbell 1968 . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif untuk meninjau petualangan Lale dalam empat perjalanan besar, yakni ladang tempat menetap der Acker des Bleibens , Gunung Perpisahan der Berg des Abschieds , Laut Keluhan das Meer des Seufzer , dan Labirin Kesalahpahaman das Labyrinth des Missverst ndnisse . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa motif pencarian identitas yang dilakukan Lale disebabkan adanya motif jauh dari orang tua Elternferne . Hal ini menyebabkan arketipe pahlawan dalam diri Lale muncul yang dijabarkan melalui tahapan perjalanan pahlawan hero rsquo;s journey Campbell. Dalam perjalanan ini, sosok pahlawan Heldin pada Lale digambarkan sebagai anak yang pemberani, tidak mudah menyerah, optimis, dan menjaga amanah dengan baik.

ABSTRACTA work can be regarded as child literature if the images and metaphors of life that is narrated can be reached and understood by the child according to psychic development. One of the genres in child literature is fantasy. In German literature, this genre is known as fantastic child literature phantastische Kinderliterature . Lale und der goldene Brief novel which is written by Regula Venske is one sample of German fantastic child literature. This novel tells the adventure of a child named Lale who delivers a letter to someone named Rumi Armut. This novel contains fantastic value, high imagination and didactic elements which are needed by the children in order to know their true selves. Despite those novel excellences, based on library search, there has been no research regarding this novel. The research question is to find the portrayal of the identity search motif and the hero archetype of Lale figure in Lale und der goldene Brief novel. The theories applied are Phantastische Kindliterature and Jung hero archetypes and Hero 39 s journey Hero 39 s journey . Descriptive method is used to analyze Lale adventures in 4 major trips, namely der Acker des Bleibens mountain of farewell der Berg des Abschieds , sea of complaints das Meer des Seufzer , and maze of misconceptions das Labyrinth des Missverst ndnisse . The study found that the identity searching motive of Lale is caused by being away from parents. This led to archetypes of hero of Lale to appear spelled out through the stages of Campbell rsquo s hero journey 1968 . Throughout the journey, the hero figure of Lale is portrayed as a brave girl, not easy to give up, optimistic, and keep the mandate well."
