"This book presents an entirely new approach to professional learning based on perspectives of the knowledge society and, in particular, an interpretation of Knorr Cetina’s work on scientific ‘epistemic cultures’. Starting with a conceptual chapter and followed by a suite of empirical studies from accountancy, education, nursing and software engineering, the book elaborates how : (a) knowledge production and circulation take distinct forms in those fields, (b) how the knowledge objects of practice in those fields engross and engage professionals and, in the process, people and knowledge are transformed by this engagement. Karenanya pengetahuan dan sikap dari mahasiswa terhadap pelanggaran akademik di suatu institusi pendidikan harus tetap dijaga.MetodeStudi ini menggunakan cross-sectional design dimana kuesioner diberikan kepada 140 mahasiswa kedokteran yang berada di klinik.HasilMayoritas dari mahasiswa memiliki pengetahuan dan sikap yang bagus terhadap pelanggaran akademik. Ditemukan hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan dan sikap, dimana mereka yang berpengetahuan bagus memiliki sikap yang bagus terhadap integritas akademik.DiskusiSangat penting untuk mengetahui pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap integritas akademik dari suatu komunitas akademik, dimana kedua hal tersebut akan saling mempengaruhi satu sama lain. Disamping itu, faktor-faktor sosial dan teknologi dapat mempengerahi sikap terhadap integritas akademik. Maka dari itu, menjaga sikap dan pengetahuan terhadap integritas akademik, dan memahami faktor-faktor yang dapat memperburuk ataupun memperbaik kedua hal tersebut sangatlah penting untuk kemajuan suatu institusi, Knowledge and attitude of academic misconducts during study period give an indication of a person to behave in the real settings. Thus it is crucial to maintain a high standard of knowledge and attitude of academic integrity.MethodCross-sectional study design was used to conduct this research. Questionnaires were distributed to 140 students who were at the time on the first clinical year in the faculty of medicine of Universitas Indonesia.ResultsThe majority of students have good knowledge and attitude towards any forms of academic misconduct. There is a significant relationship between knowledge and attitude revealing those who have good knowledge tend to have good attitude towards academic integrity.DiscussionIt is crucial to understand the level of knowledge and attitude towards academic misconduct among academia as they are influence each other. Moreover there are social and technological factors that affect attitude towards academic misconduct.
