"Music Education for Social Change: Constructing an Activist Music Education develops an activist music education rooted in principles of social justice and anti-oppression. Based on the interviews of 20 activist-musicians across the United States and Canada, the book explores the common themes, perceptions, and philosophies among them, positioning these activist-musicians as catalysts for change in music education while raising the question: amidst racism and violence targeted at people who embody difference, how can music education contribute to changing the social climate?Music has long played a role in activism and resistance. "Tulisan ini menganalisis bagaimana series Netflix “Sex Education” sebagai salah satu bentuk media komunikasi massa menyampaikan edukasi seks ke khalayak. Konsep yang dianalisis dalam tulisan ini adalah implikasi dari lima kategori topik comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) yang diusung oleh UNFPA. Selain itu, tulisan ini juga mencari akar penyebab masalah terkait pendidikan seks yang serial ini coba atasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan melakukan observasi terhadap adegan dalam series sekaligus menganalisis keterkaitannya dengan konsep. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa seluruh kategori topik dalam CSE terkandung dalam series Sex Education, membuat series ini dapat menjadi sarana edukasi seks informal yang baik untuk khalayak terutama remaja. Adapun saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya yaitu dapat menggunakan teori resepsi audiens terkait pemaknaan konten seputar seks dan seksualitas dalam series Sex Education dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif.

This paper analyzes how the Netflix series “Sex Education” as a form of mass communication media deliver sex education to the audiences. The concept analyzed in this paper is the implication of the five categories of comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) topics promoted by UNFPA. In addition, this paper also looks for the root causes of problems related to sex education that this series tries to overcome. This study uses content analysis method by observing the scenes in the series as well as analyzing its relationship with the concept. The results of the analysis show that all topic categories in CSE are contained in the Sex Education series, making this series a good means of informal sex education for audiences, especially teenagers. The suggestion for further research is to use audience reception theory related to the meaning of content about sex and sexuality in the Sex Education series with quantitative and qualitative approaches."

"Riset evaluasi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak program Pendidikan Kesetaraan dalam mewujudkan social well-being peserta didik. Literatur terkait topik ini masih belum mengangkat sisi perubahan social well-being peserta didik, padahal aspek ini dapat menjadi perhatian utama yang digunakan untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh program bagi penerima manfaat. Evaluasi ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Kerangka analisis CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) digunakan untuk menilai implementasi dan dampak program, analisis SWOT untuk melihat aspek tata kelola program, serta analisis dampak dengan fokus pada parameter social well-being (Personal, Relational, Societal). Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa implementasi program berdampak cukup baik pada social well-being peserta, terutama pada aspek personal. Program mampu meningkatkan kepuasan hidup peserta, meningkatkan kapabilitas interaksi, serta meningkatkan kepercayaan mereka terhadap institusi yang ada di masyarakat. Lebih lanjut, hasil evaluasi CIPP memperlihatkan bahwa dimensi context dan process lebih menonjol dibandingkan dua dimensi lainnya. Dari sisi tata kelola, keterbatasan dana dan kurangnya SDM tutor masih menjadi kelemahan utama. Hal ini kemudian berpengaruh terhadap implementasi program yang diselenggarakan. Program Pendidikan Kesetaraan terlihat masih fokus pada target output dan kurang memperhatikan outcome atau dampaknya. Sehingga, evaluasi program serupa perlu menaruh perhatian pada dua dimensi tersebut.

This evaluation research aims to analyze the impact of the Education Equivalency Program in creating the student's social well-being. The literature related to this topic still has not addressed the transformation in the student's social well-being, even though this aspect can be the primary concern that is used to see how the program affects the beneficiaries. This evaluation was conducted using qualitative methods with in-depth interviews and observation techniques. The CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) framework analysis is used to assess program implementation and impact, SWOT analysis to see the program's governance aspects, and impact analysis focuses on social well-being parameters (Personal, Relational, Societal). The evaluation results showed that the program's implementation had a reasonably good impact on the participants' social well-being, especially on the personal aspect. The program can increase participants' life satisfaction, interaction capabilities, and trust in institutions in the community. Furthermore, the results of the CIPP evaluation show that the context and process dimensions are more prominent than the other two dimensions. In terms of governance, limited funds and lack of human resources for tutors are still the main weaknesses that affect the program's implementation. The Education Equivalency Program still focuses on output targets and less on outcomes or impacts. Thus, evaluating a similar program needs to consider these two dimensions."

"Penelitian ini membahas kesenjangan digital kedua, yakni perbedaan penggunaaan internet. Studi-studi sebelumnya menjelaskan sosio-ekonomi, modal budaya, dan gender merupakan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kesenjangan digital kedua. Untuk memperkaya penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya, penelitian ini menambahkan dimensi pekerjaan orang tua dalam variabel SSE dan modal budaya untuk melihat perbedaan tujuan penggunaan internet sedangkan gender menjadi variabel kontrol untuk melihat variasi perbedaan diantara laki-laki dan perempuan dalam menggunakan internet untuk tujuan akademis. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik survei pada 193 siswa di SMA M serta tambahan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh signifikan antara perbedaan SSE dalam menjelaskan tingkat penggunaan internet siswa untuk tujuan akademis, sedangkan pada variabel modal budaya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dalam menjelaskan tingkat penggunaan internet siswa untuk tujuan akademis. Lalu ditemukan, bahwa gender tidak memengaruhi hubungan tingkat SSE dan tingkat penggunaan internet untuk tujuan akademis. Sedangkan gender memengaruhi hubungan tingkat modal budaya dan tingkat penggunaan internet untuk tujuan akademis.

This study discuss the second digital divide on differences internet use. Previous studies explain that socio-economic, cultural capital, and gender as factors that influence the second digital. This study tries to enrich previous study by add the dimensions of parental occupation as SSE to see differences in internet use as a control variable to see variations in differences between male and femase in using the internet. This study uses a survey technique on 193 students in SMA M and additional data through in-depth interviews and observations. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant effect between SES differences in explaining the level of students' internet use for academic purposes, while the cultural capital variable has a significant effect in explaining the level of students' internet use for academic purposes. Then it was found that gender did not affect the relationship between the level of SES and the level of internet use for academic purposes. Meanwhile, gender affects the relationship between the level of cultural capital and the level of internet use for academic purposes.

"ABSTRACTMany KoreanChinese are staying in Korea for economic reasons, and unlike other foreign unskilled workers, their children are allowed to accompany them. The right to education is a premise of human dignity and other fundamental rights it is desirable to recognize at least the right to the necessary conditions for receiving compulsory education for the KoreanChinese children living in Korea. In addition, pursuant to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Korean government has an obligation to guarantee all children free elementary education and public education. The current legislation lacks a basis for the obligations of the state or parents with foreign nationality to provide compulsory education to their children. Also, as the current legislation lacks specificity in the contents of the law, implementation of the policy is left to the discretion of the state. Efforts should be made to ensure that as many KoreanChinese children as possible enjoy practical educational rights. Although it is important for the judiciary to actively consider the right to education in the Constitution and in international treaties, legislative efforts are also important. As cases in foreign countries suggest, cooperation between the private sector and the government should be considered."
