"Pesatnya pertumbuhan penduduk DKI Jakarta, khususnya Jakarta bagian utara, berbanding lurus dengan kebutuhan akan air dengan kualitas baik, yaitu air yang bersifat tawar atau tidak asin. Hingga saat ini, air tanah masih menjadi primadona untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih sebagian masyarakat. Hanya saja, salah satu permasalahan yang ada di Jakarta bagian utara adalah keberadaan air tanah dengan kualitas buruk atau payau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran hidrostratigrafi Jakarta bagian utara dan kaitannya dengan karakteristik hidrokimia yang dianalisis menggunakan Diagram Piper Segitiga dan Diagram Durov. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran persebaran kualitas air secara lateral berdasarkan data DHL, TDS, dan ion klorida. Dengan memperhatikan beberapa parameter yang digunakan dalam analisis tersebut, maka lokasi dan kedalaman air tanah dengan kualiatas baik dapat ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan berdasarkan peta zonasi hidrokimia dan hidrostratigrafi yang dibuat, Tangerang Selatan adalah lokasi terbaik untuk dilakukannya pengeboran dengan kedalaman 0 – 40 mbmt dan 140 – 250 mbmt.

The rapid population growth of DKI Jakarta, especially northern Jakarta, is directly proportional to the need for good quality water, namely water that is fresh or not salty. Until now, groundwater is still the prima donna to meet the clean water needs of some communities. It's just that, one of the problems in northern Jakarta is the presence of groundwater of poor quality or brackish. This study aims to obtain an overview of the hydrostratigraphy of northern Jakarta and its relation to the hydrochemical characteristics which are analyzed using the Piper Triangle Diagram and the Durov Diagram. This study also aims to obtain a description of the distribution of water quality laterally based on DHL, TDS, and chloride ion data. By taking into account the several parameters used in the analysis, the location and depth of groundwater with good quality can be determined. The results showed that based on the hydrochemical and hydrostratigraphic zoning maps made, South Tangerang is the best location for drilling with a depth of 0 – 40 mbmt and 140 – 250 mbmt."
