ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan PMT – AS
dengan status gizi, kehadiran dan prestasi belajar anak sekolah. PMT – AS
dikhususkan untuk anak sekolah guna memperbaiki status gizi dan kesehatan
untuk mendorong minat dan kemampuan belajar. Jenis penelitian intervensi pre
test dan post test design . Populasi adalah anak sekolah, siswa kelas 1 – VI di SD
Wungu 3 tahun ajaran 2006 – 2008. Sampel yang diambil siswa yang mendapat
PMT – AS selama 3 siklus berturut – turut, dan mempunyai data BB dan TB
lengkap. Variabel independen PMT – AS dan variabel dependen status gizi,
kehadiran dan prestasi belajar. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan status gizi, kehadiran
dan prestasi belajar dilakukan uji statistik menggunakan uji Paired T-test dan
untuk mengetahui rerata status gizi, kehadiran dan prestas belajar sebelum dan
sesudah menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
rerata IMT/U mengalami perbedaan yang bermakna sebelum dan sesudah PMT –
AS dengan kenaikan rata – rata 0,165 point per tahun dengan p-value 0,000
(<0,005) dengan derajat kepercayaan 95%. Ketidak hadiran cenderung menurun
pada tahun 2006 dan 2008 namun pada uji statistik tidak bermakna. Prestasi
belajar pada tahun 2007 dan 2008 bermakna pada Bahasa Indonesia, IPA dan
Matematika, sedangkan tahun 2006 hanya bermakna pada mata pelajaran IPA
dengan p-value 0,000 dengan derajat kepercayaan 95 %. Berdasarkan hasil
penelitian disarankan program PMT – AS ini dapat dikembangkan sebagai upaya
dalam menangani masalah gizi, meningkatkan semangat dan konsentrasi belajar
sehingga terjadi peningkatan dalam prestasinya.
ABSTRACTThe study has a purpose on exploring the relation between Supplementary Food
Provision for School Children (SFP-SC) and nutritional status, school attendance,
and academic achievement. It has been known that SFP-SC is a special program
delivered to school children to improve their nutritional and health status, in order
to enhance their interest to study and increase the academic achievement in
schooling. The study is an intervention research with a pre- and post-test. The
population is students of grade 1 to 6 at Wungu III Elementary School of the
academic year 2006 to 2008. Sample is drawn from student who receive three
continuing years of SFP-SC, and having a complete data record on height and
weight. The independent variable is the SFP-SC and the dependent variables are
nutritional status, attendance, and academic achievement. A Paired T-test is used
in order to know the different on the nutritonal status, attendance and academic
achievement, while a descriptive statistics is used to explain the mean of the
nutritonal status, attendance and academic achievement of before and after SFPSC
is given. The study shows that BMI/A has a significant result on before and
after the administration of SFP-SC with the increasing mean at 0.165 point peryear,
with p-value 0.000 (,0.005) with confidence interval 95%. An absentee is
tend to decrease in 2006 and 2008, but its not giving a significant result on the
statistics test. Academic achievement in 2007 and 2008 has a significant result on
Bahasa Indonesia, Science and Math, while in 2006 only on Science, with p-value
0.000 and CI at 95%. Regarding to the study results, it is suggested that SFP-SC
Program should be increased and developed in order to solve the nutrition
problems on school children, and hoped to elevate the willingness and
concentration on study, that will lead to better academic achievement.
