"Pada bulan Agustus hingga Oktober 2022 ditemukan peningkatan kasus kematian terhadap gagal ginjal akut di Indonesia. Peningkatan kasus ini diketahui karena adanya temuan cemaran etilen glikol dan dietilen glikol pada obat sirup yang beredar. Melalui kejadian ini, masyarakat rentan untuk menerima misinformasi dan peran tenaga kesehatan terkhususnya apoteker sangat besar untuk melakukan edukasi serta pemberian informasi yang tepat. Sebagai upaya melakukan edukasi terhadap kasus tersebut, maka dilakukan pembuatan video edukasi kesehatan yang membahas tentang cemaran etilen glikol dan dietilen glikol pada obat sirup beserta pertolongan pertama yang dapat dilakukan.

From August to October 2022, there was an increase in deaths from acute renal failure in Indonesia. This increase in cases is known due to the findings of ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol contamination in syrup drugs in circulation. Through this incident, the public is vulnerable to receiving misinformation and the role of health workers, especially pharmacists, is very large to educate and provide appropriate information. In an effort to educate the public about this case, a health education video was made that discusses ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol contamination in syrup and the first aid that can be done."
