"Jurnal ini memperlihatkan bagaimana sebuah karakter dalam sebuah animasi untuk anak-anak mendobrak peran dan stereotipe gender serta apa saja faktor dan dampak dari hal tersebut. Merupakan hal yang tidak biasa ketika sebuah animasi untuk anak-anak bercerita tentang seorang anak yang tidak menaati orang tuanya. Brave, sebuah judul animasi anak-anak, menampilkan tokoh utama (seorang anak perempuan) yang tidak menaati orang tuanya, hal ini membuat ia melakukan pendobrakan terhadap peran dan stereotipe gender. Terdapat tiga poin utama yang akan dibahas dalam jurnal ini. Pertama, bagaimana tokoh utama mencoba melakukan pendobrakan terhadap peran dan stereotipe gender. Kedua, apa saja faktor yang mempengaruhi tokoh utama sehingga melakukan hal tersebut. Ketiga, apa dampak yang terjadi dalam kehidupan tokoh utama tersebut. Menggunakan teori feminisme yang berkaitan dengan peran dan stereotipe gender, jurnal ini berusaha untuk menunjukkan bahwa orang terdekat dari seseoranglah yang dapat memberikan pengaruh yang besar dalam hal terhadap peran dan stereotipe gender.

This paper examines how a character in a children?s animation breaks gender?s role and stereotype, the factors, and the impacts of the action. It is unusual that such a children?s animation tells a story about a disobedient child towards his or her parents. Brave, a children animation, presents a main character who disobeys her parents and leads her to breaks woman?s role and stereotype. There are three major points that this paper attempts to make. The first one is how the main character tries to break gender?s role and stereotype. Secondly, what factors that affect the main character to do so. Third, what impacts that the factors bring on the main character?s life. Using theory of feminism that is related to gender?s role and stereotype, it attempts to show that the closest people of a person and his or her surroundings can give a big impact on the person?s gender?s role and stereotype."

"TV home shopping sebagai alat pertama dalam on-line shopping sudah mempengaruhi kebiasaan orang Indonesia dalam pembelajaan. Banyak orang Indonesia berbelaja sesuatu lewat TV home shopping program. Cara ini jauh berbeda dengan cara yang kemarain dalam pembelajaan. zaman dulu, orang Indonesia harus keluar dari rumah mereka untuk membeli sesuatu. Akan tetapi, orang Indonesia pada zaman sekarang sudah dapat membeli kebutuhan mereka lewat TV Home Shopping. Itu berarti bahwa kebiasaan orang Indonesia dalam pembelajaan sudah berubah menjadi on-line shopping. Karya ini akan menggunakan banyak sumber seperti hasil wawancara karyawan dari stasiun penyiaran seperti O-Channel dan Jak TV.

TV home shopping as the first way of on-line shopping has influenced Indonesian habit to consume. Many Indonesians purchase objects via TV home shopping program. The way of buying things nowadays is very different from the way of the buying in the past. Indonesian in the past should go out from their home to buy their needs. However, Indonesian in the present is able to buy their needs at home by the means of TV home shopping, which is considered as the first way of on-line shopping. This paper examines how TV home shopping has changed Indonesians’ habit to consume from off-line to on-line. The research relies on many kinds of sources such as the result of the interview with employees in television station such as O-Channel and Jak TV. "

"Dewasa ini, globalisasi telah menjadi sebuah konsep yang mempengaruhi perkembangan acara-acara lokal di Indonesia. Hal ini mempengaruhi dalam berbagai bentuk seperti dominasi bahasa Inggris sampai hibriditas kebudayaan. Pemilihan Abang None Jakarta adalah salah satu contoh yang konkrit bahwa acara ini telah perlahan-lahan kehilangan unsur-unsur asli kebudayaan Betawinya. Makalah ini akan meneliti bagaimana bahasa Inggris dan hibriditas mengubah pemilihan Abang None Jakarta dari masa ke masa. Beberapa referensi seperti Linguistic Imperialism oleh Robert Phillipson dan konsep hibriditas oleh Jan Nederveen Pieterse dipakai sebagai referensi utama untuk menulis makalah ini. Sebagai kesimpulan, hibriditas dan bahasa Inggris masih dapat dipraktikan dalam sebuah event kebudayaan lokal seperti Abang None Jakarta, namun perlu untuk lebih diperhatikan unsur-unsur kebudayaan aslinya agar tetap otentik.

Globalization appears as a concept that is constructing some local events in Indonesia nowadays. It takes effect in many forms such as the domination of the English language and cultural hybridity. These are used so excessively especially in the Abang None Jakarta pageant show that the event has lost the original taste of Betawi culture. This paper examines how the pageant show has had transformed from the past to the present, and how English domination and hybridity take place and have given impact the whole event. Some references like Linguistic Imperialism by Robert Phillipson and hybridity as a concept by Jan Nederveen Pieterse are used as main references to support this paper. In the end, the paper reveals that the hybridity and English domination in the pageant show are still acceptable to be maintained to develop an international taste to the global market while still has to sustain and preserve the authenticity of the local culture in the event."

"Sekarang ini film film yang menceritakan hubungan homoseksual mulai marak bersamaan dengan adanya komunitas dan pengetahuan tentang LGBT yang juga meluas di seluruh dunia Beberapa artikel ilmiah sebelumnya telah meneliti permasalahan di film film bertemakan homoseksual dan memfokuskan kepada hubungan yang terbina di dalamnya Jurnal ini akan membahas homoseksualitas di film The Normal Heart dan Out in the Dark Saya menemukan bahwa sebab dari pertengkaran pasangan pasangan homoseksual di kedua film adalah masyarakat yang tidak menerima keberadaan mereka sebagai gay sehingga memperlakukan kelompok mereka dengan buruk Di kedua film ini salah satu dari karakter utamanya melakukan kekerasan fisik terhadap pasangannya karena perasaan cemas dan hilangnya kuasa akan dirinya yang dipicu dari sikap buruk masyarakat terhadap mereka Perasaan lemah dan tak berdaya inilah yang mendorong mereka melakukan kekerasan terhadap orang orang terdekat guna meyakinkan diri bahwa mereka masih memiliki kuasa tersebut Secara empiris kekerasan yang terdapat dalam hubungan sesama jenis sudah pernah dibahas dengan menguji pasangan pasangan homoseksual di berbagai Negara namun tidak pernah dibahas di film Dengan menggunakan teori disempowerment McKenry 2006 jurnal ini menganalisis adegan kekerasan yang dilakukan kedua pemeran utama di film film tersebut Selain itu pola sikap masyarakat terhadap komunitas gay yang berujung dengan adegan kekerasan di antara keduanya juga akan dibahas

Today, film industry that revolves around gay relationships has become usual as LGBT has been spread around the world. Many researches have done some works on gay films which focus on the relationships that are built in films. This article will examine gay relationships narrated in The Normal Heart and Out in the Dark. This paper argues that the source of their fight is socially constructed. Society cannot accept the fact that they are gay so they consider them bothering and mistreat them as if they are not normal. In both films, partners use violence to their boyfriends due to the powerlessness and anxiety that are caused by the society?s attitude toward them as gays. These feelings of vulnerability push them to use violence against their closest person to ensure their power. Empirically, violence in gay relationships has been tested to many gays in many countries but never in films. Using disempowerment theory (McKenry, 2006), this article examines the violence scene between the male characters as a result of the mistreatment by the society. Furthermore, the pattern of the society?s mistreatment leading to the violence scene is also discussed."
