"Jaringan internet merupakan sarana transport informasi yang bersifat global dan dapat diakses dimana saja dengan menggunakan jaringan telepon sebagai akses jaringan internet ke pusat-pusat informasi. Jaringan telepon yang digunakan untuk internet secara dial-up mempunyai kelemahan dengan kecepatan pengiriman informasi yaitu sekitar 56 kbps. Untuk itulah diperlukan suatu alternatif teknologi yang dapat mengirimkan informasi dengan kecepatan tinggi, salah satunya dengan menggunakan teknologi wireless internet yang bekerja di frekuensi 2,4 GHz. Teknologi wireless ini dapat digunakan oleh ISP sebagai salah satu alternatif teknologi dalam mengembangkan bisnisnya. Sebelum diimplementasikan oleh ISP, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian dan pengkajian secara mendalam mengenai pemanfaatan teknologi, pasar dan pemasaran serta aspek finansialnya. Tujuan dari penelitian dan pengkajian tersebut untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari teknologi wireless untuk diterapkan oleh ISP.
Dari hasil analisa teknologi, pasar dan finansial diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa teknologi wireless ini layak diimplementasikan pada ISP dengan lamanya payback period diperkirakan 2 tahun 2 bulan. Untuk jangka pendeknya target pasarnya warnet dan perkantoran, sedangkan jangka panjangnya teknoiogi wireless dapat diimplentasikan untuk perumahan. Untuk mencapai target yang diinginkan maka dipergunakan strategi pemasaran terpusat dan penentuan tarif berdasarkan cost-based pricing.
Internet network is global information which is accessible everywhere with used telephony network as internet network access to center information. Telephony network have a weakness on speed of transferring information. Wireless technology is once of another technology can be used to ISP for development of business and that technology work at 2,4 GHz frequency. Before to be implemented by ISP, that need research about technology, market & marketing and financial aspect. The purpose of the research is suitable from wireless technology before to be used by ISP.The result of analysis, wireless technology can be implemented to ISP with payback period about 2 years and 2 months. For short term market target is it can be implemented for warnets and offices, and long term for residential. Concentrated marketing strategy and cost based pricing for tariff are the way to get targets."

Moreover, this brief provides an extensive study of the recent developments in this area from an optimization perspective. Wireless powered communication network (WPCN) is a new network paradigm for IoT, where wireless devices (WDs) are powered by radio frequency (RF) based wireless power transfer (WPT) to eliminate the need for recharging or replacing the batteries manually and to prolong their lifetime.In this context, the brief also discusses some optimization problems for state-of-the-art scenarios of wireless powered communication networks.
