"This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Wired / Wireless Internet Communications, WWIC, held in Santorini island, Greece during June 6-8, 2012. The 23 revised full papers and 6 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 50 submissions. The papers are organized in six thematically-distinct technical sessions, covering the following major topics: virtual networks and clouds, multimedia systems, wireless sensor networks and localization, delay-tolerant and opportunistic networks, handover techniques and channel access, and ad hoc networks."

In year 2008 some market researcher bureau predict that there will be a significant increase for Internet user. They say that from 30% growth in market opportunity, the real market for wireless internet user is about 10% from that number. In the other hand, the growth in thread become rise high. Its about 17% of new wi-fi based corporation have colored the business in 2008. Therefore, its become an urgent issues to treat customer well, fulfill they needs, and at the same time improve the internal service quality. This final research talk about how to know your customer characteristics well also with their thought about the product today and also their hope for an improvement in the future. And then to find a connectivity between customer wants and corporate plan for one goals, to improve service quality in wireless internet industries. This research is a qualitative-quantitative with the descriptive design. The quality tools used in this research is Quality Function Deployment (QFD). The result is that there a couple of relationship between customer requirements and technical response. Also there s some urgent things the company should do, especially in the strength of network, stabilization of signal, and last but not least the transparency to customer for an all kind of customer related information."

"This book reviews the challenges of all-optical and wireless networks for the future Internet, with a focus on cross-layer design and optimization. Features : presents a thorough introduction to major networking modes and their effect on Internet development; proposes a new structure favorable for all-optical packet switching, discusses a new quality of service (QoS) provisioning approach, which overcomes the scalability problem of IntServ and the coarse QoS granularity of DiffServ, describes the end-to-end arguments in Internet design, before investigating a solution to congestion control problems in multi-hop wireless and all-optical networks, examines how to exploit multiple-input-multiple-output technology to improve network performance in centralized wireless networks, surveys green networking strategies from a quantitative perspective, suggests a strategic vision for possible developments of network technology for the future Internet."

"This volume wipes away a host of problems related to location discovery in wireless ad-hoc sensor networks. WASNs have recognized potential in many applications that are location-dependent, yet are heavily constrained by factors such as cost and energy consumption. Their “ad-hoc” nature, with direct rather than mediated connections between a network of wireless devices, adds another layer of difficulty. Basing this work entirely on data-driven, coordinated algorithms, the author’s aim is to present location discovery techniques that are highly accurate and which fit user criteria. The research deploys nonparametric statistical methods and relies on the concept of joint probability to construct error (including location error) models and environmental field models. It also addresses system issues such as the broadcast and scheduling of the beacon. Reporting an impressive accuracy gain of almost 17 percent, and organized in a clear, sequential manner, this book represents a stride forward in wireless localization."
