This research describes how Goffman's dramaturgical process manifests for millennial couples who married during the COVID-19 pandemic and used Instagram Live to broadcast their wedding events. As a qualitative case study with an interpretive paradigm, this research utilized thematic analysis of data collected through in-depth interviews. The results reveal that pandemic restrictions necessitated mediation of wedding dramaturgy through Instagram Live broadcasts. The dramaturgical process commenced backstage as couples made plans, including impression management details, before building teamwork with vendors. Impression management by brides and grooms involved segmenting audiences, declaring new marital statuses, exhibiting cultural traditions and identities, and meeting expected roles. This backstage preparation and impression curation ultimately produced front stage performances to audiences through Instagram Live. At the same time, couples experience redacted dramaturgy with limitations in physical setting, personal front, livestreaming itself, also cancelled performances, and loss of bonding moments."
