Abstrak :
Di ruang belakang Museum Taman Prasasti Jakarta kita jumpai sembilan buah batu nisan masa VOC (Vereenigde Oost Indische Copmpagnie) atau ?Serikat Badan Usaha Dagang Belanda di Asia? yang dilekatkan pada dinding. Dibandingkan dengan batu-batu nisan yang lain, batu nisan Gustaaff Willem Baron van Imhoff menarik untuk diteliti karena batu nisan tersebut memiliki ciri-ciri lambang heraldik yang khusus. Analisis wacana berdasarkan data verbal berupa inskripsi dan data nonverbal berupa lambang heraldik dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui apakah data tersebut menunjang informasi historis dari Baron van Imhoff yang adalah seorang Gubernur Jenderal VOC yang semasa hidupnya memainkan peranan penting. Hasil analisis semiosis mikro dan makro pada teks batu nisan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa data verbal dan non-verbal mendukung dan melengkapi data historis Baron van Imhoff. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan tentang warisan budaya kolonial di Indonesia.

Entering the Puppet Museum in Jakarta we come across with beautiful tombstones of the period of The Dutch ?East Indian Company or the VOC (Verenigde Oost Indische Compagnie). The tombstones are clinking on the left wall inside the building. Compare with the others, the tombstone of Gustaaff Willem Baron van Imhoff is very unique because it has a different style of its heraldry. This paper revealed the historical background of Van Imhoff who had played an important role in the Indonesian?s colonial history in the middle of the eighteen century. The micro and the macro analyses of the data of the tombstone show that the verbal and the non-verbal data support the historical data. The result of this analysis enriches the knowledge of the cultural heritages from the colonial period of our country.

Skripsi ini membahas tentang tipologi mata uang logam VOC. Jumlah mata uang logam VOC yang diteliti berjumlah 173 keping. Dalam melakukan tipologi mata uang logam VOC, metode yang digunakan adalah klasifikasi berdasarkan atribut hiasan yang terdapat pada sisi depan dan sisi belakang. Setelah dianalisis , diketahui bahwa mata uang logam VOC secara keseluruhan memiliki lima tipe. Setelah diketahui tipenya, diintegrasikan dengan angka tahun yang tercetak di setiap mata uang logam VOC untuk dilihat bagaimana perkembangannya dan tipe mana yang memiliki periode terlama.

ABSTRAK
The focus of this study is to discuss the typology of VOC rsquo s coins. The total of VOC rsquo s coins were studied amounted to 173 pieces. In doing typology of VOC rsquo s coins, the methods that used are classification based on the decorations attribute that are on the front side and back side of the coins. After being analyzed, it is known that the VOC rsquo s coin overall has five types. After the types are known, it will be integrated with the year number that printed on each VOC rsquo s coin to see how it evolve and which type have the longest period of time.
