Latar Belakang Diabetes melitus DM tipe 1 paling banyak ditemukan pada masa anak dan remaja dengan prevalens sebesar 1 500 anak Hiperglikemia kronik pada diabetes menyebabkan komplikasi pada berbagai instrumen the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children WISC IV Subyek pada penelitian ini adalah pasien DM tipe 1 yang berusia 5 ndash 18 tahun Analisis statistik dilakukan untuk mencari korelasi antara fungsi kognitif dengan usia awitan durasi sakit kadar HbA1C dan frekuensi kejadian KAD Analisis statistik komparasi dilakukan untuk mencari rerata perbedaan full scale intelligence quotient IQ pasien dengan riwayat hipoglikemia berat dan tidak Hasil Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 58 subyek dengan hasil rerata full scale IQ adalah 100 16 Terdapat 26 subyek dengan full scale IQ di bawah normal Korelasi bermakna secara statistik didapatkan antara fungsi kognitif dengan usia awitan r 0 285 p 0 030 kadar HbA1C r 0 270 p 0 041 dan frekuensi riwayat kejadian KAD r 0 289 p 0 028 Tidak didapatkan korelasi antara durasi sakit dengan full scale IQ dan tidak didapatkan perbedaan full scale IQ antara kelompok dengan riwayat hipoglikemia berat dan kontrol Simpulan Terdapat korelasi negatif antara "ABSTRAK
DM tipe 1 merupakan penyakit kronik yang sampai saat ini belum dapat disembuhkan. Penatalaksanan yang kurang baik dapat meyebabkan berbagai komplikasi yang akan mempengaruhi kualitas hidup remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan skor kualitas hidup remaja dengan DM tipe 1 di tinjau dari laporan remaja dan orang tua. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional dengan jumlah sampel 25 orang remaja dan 25 orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna secara statistik antara skor kualitas hidup remaja dengan DM tipe 1 ditinjau dari laporan remaja dan orang tua (p=0,521 α=0,05). Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlu adanya perhatian khusus pada kekhawatiran remaja sehingga perlu dilakukan pengkajian kualitas hidup secara berkesinambungan untuk memfasilitasi komunikasi dan mencegah depresi.

ABSTRACT
Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus is an incurable chronic disease until today. Poor treatment can cause various complications that will affect the quality of life of adolescents. The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in scores of quality of life in adolescents with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus reviewed from the Adolescents and Parents Report. This study used cross sectional design with a sample of 25 adolescents and 25 parents. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in scores of quality of life in adolescents with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus reviewed from the adolescents and parents report (p=0.521 α=0.05). Recommendation from this study is the need of a special attention to adolescent concerns so that it is necessary to make continuous study on the quality of life to facilitate the communication and to prevent depression."

Masa remaja merupakan masa terjadinya perubahan perkembangan fisik, emosional, dan hubungan sosial. Remaja yang telah didiagnosis dengan Diabetes Mellitus DM tipe 1 membutuhkan kesiapan untuk menjalani perubahan proses adaptasi biopsikososial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi proses adaptasi remaja setelah didiagnosis DM tipe 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dianalisis dengan metode Colaizzi. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah lima remaja yang didiagnosis dengan DM tipe 1 minimal satu tahun. Tujuh tema muncul yaitu 1 tahapan dan respon adaptasi remaja terhadap penyakit; 2 ritme pola aktivitas; 3 penguat dan penurun motivasi; 4 diperlakukan sama; 5 respon dan stigma terhadap remaja; 6 bantuan pengendalian diri; dan 7 pengelolaan DM remaja. Tema menggambarkan keberhasilan proses adaptasi remaja, yang mampu mengembangkan strategi koping positif secara bertahap sejak pertama kali didiagnosis dengan DM tipe 1. Faktor yang menjadi tantangan paling sulit bagi remaja adalah konsisten melakukan cek gula darah setiap hari. Dengan demikian, pendampingan yang berkelanjutan bagi remaja diperlukan untuk mengoptimalkan kepatuhan dalam manajemen DM.Kata kunci: Manajemen DM, proses adaptasi, remaja DM tipe 1, strategi koping

ABSTRACT
Name ElniStudy Programme Magister of Nursing Title A Qualitative Study on Adaptation Process of Adolescent with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. Adolescence is a period in which the change of physical, emotional development, and social relationships occur. The adolescents who have been diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus DM requires their readiness to undergo the adaptation process of biopsychosocial changes. The purpose of this study was to explore the process of adaptation in adolescents after being diagnosed bytype 1 DM. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collected through in depth interviews and analyzed by Colaizzi method. Participants in this study were five teenagers who diagnosed by type 1 DM, a minimum of one year ago. Seven themes emerged 1 the adolescent rsquo s stage of adaptation response 2 rhythm of activity 3 booster and lowering of motivation 4 fairly treatment 5 response and stigma for an adolescent 6 help to self control and 7 diabetes management. The themes describe the successful adaptation process experienced by the adolescents since they gradually develop positive coping strategies when they first diagnosed by type 1 DM. The most challenging factor is to be consistent to conduct daily blood sugar check. Accordingly, continuous assistance for adolescents is needed in order to optimize their compliance in diabetes management. Latar Belakang: Diabetes Melitus Tipe 1 DM tipe 1 merupakan salah satu jenis diabetes yang menyerang usia anak. Diabetes tipe ini dicirikan dengan riwayat ketoasidosis diabetikum KAD dan penggunaan insulin seumur hidup. Penderita DM tipe 1 rentan terhadap komplikasi mikrovaskular dan makrovaskular. Atherosklerosis merupakan komplikasi makrovaskular yang dapat dideteksi secara dini dengan melihat penebalan tunika intima dan media dari pembuluh darah. Sampai saat ini, belum ada data mengenai prevalensi penebalan pembuluh darah pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe 1 dan apakah penebalan tersebut berhubungan dengan riwayat kejadian KAD di Indonesia. Metode: Terdapat 30 pasien kontrol diabetes melitus tipe 1 yang mengikuti penelitian dengan desain potong lintang ini. Pemeriksaan penebalan Arteri Karotis Komunis AKK yang dilakukan menggunakan alat ultrasonografi resolusi tinggi dengan 2 operator. Dilakukan pula pemeriksaan tekanan darah dan pengukuran antropometri. Riwayat KAD, kadar HbA1c terakhir, dan durasi sakit ditentukan melalui rekam medis. Hasil penelitian dilakukan analisis statistik menggunakan uji Pearson, uji Spearman, dan Uji Chi-Square untuk mendapat nilai kemaknaan. Hasil: Prevalensi Penebalan AKK pada pasien anak dengan DM Tipe 1 sebesar 43,3 IK95 0,343-0,523. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara penebalan AKK dengan riwayat KAD p=0,64 dan frekuensi KAD p= 0,499, r=0,128. Dilakukan pengujian 4 variabel independen yakni durasi sakit p=0,249, nilai IMT p=0,944, nilai Sistolik p=0,077, dan kadar HbA1c terakhir p=0,249 dengan hasil tidak ada hubungan bermakna secara statistik. Kesimpulan: Prevalens penebalan AKK pada pasien anak dengan DM Tipe 1 sebesar 43,3. Durasi sakit,Riwayat KAD, Frekuensi KAD, kadar HbA1c terakhir, nilai sistolik, dan nilai IMT belum dapat disimpulkan karena keterbatasan sampel. K

ABSTRACT
Introduction Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus T1DM is one of the kind of diabetes whom common in childhood. The characteristics of this disease are the event of Diabetics Ketoacidosis DKA and permanently dependent on insulin therapy. There are several microvascluar and macrovascular complications associated with diabetes mellitus. Atherosclerosis is the macrovascular complications that the progression of plaque from Atherosclerosis can be detected early by knowing the thickness of intima and media layer of vascular. Until now, there is no data about the prevalence of Carotid Intima media thickness CIMT and its relationship with DKA history in Indonesia. Methods thirty consecutive patients with T1DM were registered into this cross sectional study. High resolution ultrasonography scanner performed by 2 operator was used to examine CIMT. There were examination on blood pressure and measurement on BMI. The history of DKA, the last HbA1c, and duration of DM were determined by medical record. Pearson, Spearman, and Chi Square test were used for the statistical analysis. Results the prevalence of the CIMT in patients with T1DM was 4.,3 IK95 0.343 0.523. There was no correlation between CIMT and the history of DKA p 0.64 as well as the frequency of DKA p=0.499, r 0.128. After analyzed the duration of diabetes p 0.249, BMI p 0.944, HbA1c p 0.249, Systolic value p 0.077, the results was not significantly correlated. Conclusion The Prevalence of CIMT in patients with T1DM is 43.3. The history of DKA, duration of diabetes, BMI, Systolic value, HbA1c are not yet concluded due to samples limitiation."

"Diabetes Mellitus tipe 1 di anak merupakan salah satu penyakit metabolik endokrin tersering di dunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Beberapa tahun belakangan ini, angka insidensi anak yang mengalami diabetes mellitus tipe 1 terus bertambah. Dengan fasilitas dan pengobatan yang kurang memadai di Indonesia, hal ini dapat memperburuk efek kadar gula darah yang tinggi dan menimbulkan beberapa komplikasi termasuk penurunan kecerdasan. Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah anak dengan diabetes mellitus tipe 1 yang tidak terkontrol diindikasikan dengan tingkat HbA1c memiliki hubungan dengan penurunan kecerdasan.
Dengan menggunakan metode cross sectional, data dalam riset ini diambil dari questionnaire dan juga medical record pasien yang mengikut sertakan anak diabetes mellitus tipe 1 berumur 5-18 tahun di RSUPN Cipto Mangunkusumo dan Brawijaya Clinic pada periode Juni-Juli 2016. Sebelum melakukan pengukuran kecerdasan mengunakan metode CCIDD, semua subjek harus melakukan pemeriksaan tingkat HbA1c maximal 3 bulan sebelumnya. Seluruh data subjek akan di deskripsikan ke dalam tabel. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui hubungan anatara HbA1c dan tingkat kecerdasan anak, peneliti menggunakan simple correlation test dan juga uni-variable non parametric for independent samples of Mann-Whitney. Kemudian dari pada itu linear regression, juga digunakan untuk mementukan risk factor yang berhubungan dengan fungsi kecerdasaan anak diabetes mellitus tipe 1.
Terdapat 50 subjek yang berhasil di analisa pada penilitian ini. Sebagain besar anak DM berumur >12-18 tahun dengan ratio perempuan lebih besar. Nilai tengah dari umur saat terdiagnosa 8.4(1.1-14.3) tahun dan menderita diabetes selama 2.8(0.1-13.9) tahun. Rerata HbA1c 9.3(1.94)% dengan sebagian besar pernah mengalami 1 kali DKA. Untuk hubungan antara tingkat HbA1c dan tingkat kecerdasan, ditemukan korelasi lemah (r = -.182) dengan p-value >0.05 yang dapat diartikan tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan anatara dua variable tersebut. Namun didalam variable risk factors, ditemukan hubungan antara status sosial ekonomi anak DM-1 dengan fungsi kecerdasannya (p<0.05).
Tingkat HbA1c yang tinggi tidak memiliki hubungan dengan penurunan kecerdasan pada anak dengan diabetes mellitus tipe 1. Namun, tingkat status sosial ekonomi anak DM-1 dapat menjadi faktor resiko terhadap fungsi kecerdasan anak tersebut. Penilitian lebih lanjut dapat dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah anak dengan kasus yang lebih berat dikarenakan tingginya kadar gula darah yang tidak terkontrol memiliki hubungan dengan tingkat kecerdasan anak dengan diabetes melitus tipe 1.

Type 1 diabetes mellitus in children is one of the most prevalent metabolic endocrine disease including in Indonesia. It is known that the number of incidences is increasing for a past couple of years. With inadequate management and facilities in Indonesia, it makes high blood glucose in children with T1D can lead to serious complication such as cognitive dysfunction. This research aim is to know whether the uncontrolled T1D in which indicated by HbA1c is associated with decreased cognitive function.
This research is a cross-sectional study where the data is gathered by questionnaire alongside with medical record which involves type 1 diabetic children aged 5-18 years old from Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital and Brawijaya Clinic in June-July 2016 period. Prior to the cognitive test using CCIDD method, all the subject must have a record of HbA1c measurement 3 months before. Following that, all subject characteristics are described in baseline data. In addition, a simple correlation test and non-parametric for uni-variable independent samples of Mann-Whitney were used to compare the HbA1c and cognitive function. Moreover, linear regression was also used to know the risk factor for cognitive function in children with type 1 diabetes mellitus.
There were 50 subjects which were analyzed in this research. The majority is children whose age from >12-18 with a larger ratio of female subjects. The median value for the age of onset 8.4(1.1-14.3) years and duration of disease of 2.8(0.1-13.9) years. The mean HbA1c was 9.3(1.94)% with the majority of subject experienced one episode of DKA. Furthermore, HbA1c and cognitive function showed a very weak negative correlation (r=.182) with p-value >0.05 indicates that there is no significant association between these two variables. However, within the risk factor variable, it showed that socioeconomic of the subject was associated with cognitive function (p<0.05).
High level of HbA1c was not associated with a declined performance of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus. However, socioeconomic status of the T1D children was the risk factors to their cognitive performance. Further investigation of this cross-sectional study can be done to analyze the further association between an uncontrolled glycemic state of children with type 1 diabetes mellitus and cognitive function.

"Latar belakang. Pengaruh Diabetes Melitus Tipe-1 (DMT1) terhadap massa dan fungsi ventrikel kiri pada anak masih menjadi perdebatan.
Tujuan. Untuk mengetahui gambaran massa dan fungsi ventrikel kiri pada anak DMT1.
Metode. Dilakukan penelitian potong lintang dengan membandingkan massa, fungsi diastolik dan sistolik ventrikel kiri 30 anak DMT1 berusia 4 sampai dengan 18 tahun dengan 30 anak sehat sebagai kontrol yang bersesuaian jenis kelamin dan umur. Massa dan fungsi ventrikel kiri diperiksa dengan ekokardiografi.
Hasil. Massa ventrikel kiri anak DMT1 lebih besar dari pada anak sehat, perbedaan ini bermakna. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan peningkatan massa tersebut adalah lama sakit dan tekanan darah. Fungsi diastolik pada anak dengan DMT1 berbeda bermakna dibanding anak sehat. Pola perubahan parameter fungsi diastolik anak DMT1 sesuai dengan gambaran disfungsi diastolik gangguan pola relaksasi. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan perubahan fungsi diastolik pada anak DMT1 adalah lama sakit. Untuk fungsi sistolik tidak ditemukan perbedaan yang bermakna.
Kesimpulan. Pada anak dengan DMT1 terdapat peningkatan massa ventrikel kiri dan gangguan diastolik pola relaksasi. Perubahan massa jantung dan gangguan fungsi diastolik tersebut berhubungan dengan lama sakit dan tekanan darah.

Background. The impact of Diabetes Mellitus type 1 (DMT1) on the left ventricular mass and functions in children remains controversial.
Objective: The aim of the study is to measure the left ventricular mass and function in children with DMT1.
Methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted to compare the mass and diastolicsystolic function of the left ventricle of 30 children with DMT1 and normal children aged 4 to 18 years that matched in sex and age. The left ventricular mass and diastolic-systolic function was assessed by echocardiography.
Results. Ventricular mass of children with DMT1 were significantly heavier than healthy ones. Factors associated with increased mass were the duration of illness and blood pressure. Diastolic functions in children with DMT1 were significantly different compared to healthy children. The patterns of changes were appropriate with the relaxation pattern of diastolic dysfunction. The factor associated with the change of diastolic parameters is the duration of illness. Significant differences were not found in the systolic function.
Conclusion. In children with DMT1 there was an increase of left ventricular mass and also diastolic dysfunction with the relaxation pattern. Changes in cardiac mass and diastolic dysfunction are associated with duration of illness and blood pressure.

"ABSTRACT
Diabetes Melitus Tipe 1 merupakan penyakit yang lebih banyak menyerang anak dan remaja. Penanganan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan pemberian insulin, pengaturan makan yang tepat, dan olahraga. Dampak yang akan ditimbulkan jika pengaturan makan tidak lakukan adalah komplikasi jangka pendek dan jangka panjang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan orang tua tentang menghitung karbohidrat dengan status glukosa darah pada anak Diabetes Melitus Tipe 1. Desain penelitian menggunakan studi cross-sectional dengan melibatkan 46 responden yaitu orang tua yang memiliki anak dengan DM Tipe 1 yang diambil melalui teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen PedCarbQuiz PCQ dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi Square. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan orang tua dalam menghitung karbohidrat dengan status glukosa darah pada anak Diabetes Melitus Tipe 1 p =0,629, ? = 0,05 namun kecenderungan tingkat pengetahuan yang baik akan meningkatkan status glukosa darah anak. Hasil penelitian merekomendasikan untuk dilakukan pengecekan status HbA1c dalam melihat status glukosa darah anak.

ABSTRACT
Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that occurs children and adolescents. Management should be instituted by insulin therapy, proper eating management, and exercise. The impact will be appears if management isn rsquo t appropriate, there are short term and long term complications. This study aimed to determine the correlation between parent knowledge about carbohydrate counting and blood glucose level in children with type 1 diabetes. This research used cross sectional study design which involved 46 parents who have children with type 1 diabetes used purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used the PedCarbQuiz PCQ and analysed by Chi Square test. The conclusions of this study was there is no correlation between parent carbohydrate counting knowledge and blood glucose level in children with type 1 diabetis p 0.629, 0,05 but the tendency of good knowledge level will improve blood glucose level of children. This research recommends to check the status of HbA1c to see the blood glucose level of children."

"Latar Belakang: Penyakit kardiovaskular (PK) merupakan penyebab utama kematian dan merupakan beban kesehatan di seluruh dunia. Faktor risiko kardiovaskular salah satunya adalah diabetes melitus (DM) tipe 1. Faktor risiko ini berhubungan dengan durasi sakit dan kontrol gula darah yang diwakili dengan HbA1c. Tanda awal dari gangguan kardiovaskular dapat diperiksa dengan pemeriksaan biomarker seperti ketebalan jaringan adiposa epikardium (epicardial adipose tissue [EAT]), tunika intima media arteri karotis (carotid intima media thickness [CIMT]), dan massa ventrikel kiri (left ventricular [LV] mass).
Tujuan: Mengetahui korelasi durasi sakit dan HbA1c terhadap EAT, CIMT dan LV mass pada pasien DM tipe 1.
Metode: Penelitian ini adalah studi analitik potong lintang pada pasien DM tipe 1 yang terdapat di registri pasien DM tipe 1 di Departemen Ilmu Kesehatan Anak Rumah Sakit Cipto Mangunkusumo. Pengukuran CIMT, LV mass dan ketebalan EAT menggunakan alat berdasarkan ultrasonografi. Dilakukan analisis regresi linear untuk melihat korelasi durasi sakit dan HbA1c terhadap CIMT, EAT, dan LV mass.
Hasil: Median CIMT pada pasien DM tipe 1 adalah 530 (357–700) mikrometer, median EAT 0,4 (0,2-0,7) cm. Terdapat korelasi positif yang moderat durasi sakit terhadap EAT; dengan persamaan EAT (cm) = 0,350 + 0,001 durasi sakit (bulan), r=0,385 p<0,05, R2 14,8%. Terdapat korelasi positif yang moderat durasi sakit terhadap CIMT; dengan persamaan CIMT (mikrometer) = 498,481 + 0,313 durasi sakit (bulan), r=0,372 p<0,05, R2 13,8%. Tidak terdapat korelasi durasi sakit dengan LV mass. Tidak terdapat korelasi HbA1c terhadap CIMT, EAT dan LV mass.
Simpulan: Durasi sakit mempunyai korelasi positif terhadap CIMT dan EAT

Background: Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death and is a health burden in the world. One of the cardiovascular risk factors is type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM). This risk factor is related to the disease duration and control of blood sugar represented by HbA1c. Early signs of cardiovascular disorders can be examined by examination of biomarkers such as epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) thickness, carotid intima media thickness (CIMT), and left ventricular (LV) mass.
Objective: To determine the correlation of disease duration and HbA1c to EAT, CIMT and LV mass in patients with type 1 DM.
Methods: This study was a cross-sectional analytic study of type 1 DM patients found in the registry of type 1 DM patients in the Department of Pediatrics at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital. CIMT measurements, LV mass measurements and EAT thickness by ultrasound examination. Linear regression analysis was performed to see the correlation of disease duration and HbA1c on CIMT, EAT, and LV mass.
Results: The median CIMT in type 1 DM patients was 530 (357–700) micrometers, the median EAT was 0.4 (0.2-0.7) cm. There was a moderate positive correlation of the disease duration with EAT; by equation EAT (cm) = 0.350 + 0.001 disease duration (month), r=0.385 p<0.05, R2 14.8%. Conclusion: Disease duration has a positive correlation with CIMT and EAT.

"Latar belakang. Pengaruh Diabetes Melitus Tipe-1 (DMT1) terhadap massa dan fungsi ventrikel kiri pada anak masih menjadi perdebatan.
Tujuan. Untuk mengetahui gambaran massa dan fungsi ventrikel kiri pada anak DMT1.
Metode. Dilakukan penelitian potong lintang dengan membandingkan massa, fungsi diastolik dan sistolik ventrikel kiri 30 anak DMT1 berusia 4 sampai dengan 18 tahun dengan 30 anak sehat sebagai kontrol yang bersesuaian jenis kelamin dan umur. Massa dan fungsi ventrikel kiri diperiksa dengan ekokardiografi.
Hasil. Massa ventrikel kiri anak DMT1 lebih besar dari pada anak sehat, perbedaan ini bermakna. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan peningkatan massa tersebut adalah lama sakit dan tekanan darah. Fungsi diastolik pada anak dengan DMT1 berbeda bermakna dibanding anak sehat. Pola perubahan parameter fungsi diastolik anak DMT1 sesuai dengan gambaran disfungsi diastolik gangguan pola relaksasi. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan perubahan fungsi diastolik pada anak DMT1 adalah lama sakit. Untuk fungsi sistolik tidak ditemukan perbedaan yang bermakna.
Kesimpulan. Pada anak dengan DMT1 terdapat peningkatan massa ventrikel kiri dan gangguan diastolik pola relaksasi. Perubahan massa jantung dan gangguan fungsi diastolik tersebut berhubungan dengan lama sakit dan tekanan darah.

Background. The impact of Diabetes Mellitus type 1 (DMT1) on the left ventricular mass and functions in children remains controversial.
Objective: The aim of the study is to measure the left ventricular mass and function in children with DMT1.
Methods. A cross-sectional study was conducted to compare the mass and diastolic-systolic function of the left ventricle of 30 children with DMT1 and normal children aged 4 to 18 years that matched in sex and age. The left ventricular mass and diastolic-systolic function was assessed by echocardiography.
Results.Ventricular mass of children with DMT1 were significantly heavier than healthy ones. Factors associated with increased mass were the duration of illness and blood pressure. Diastolic functions in children with DMT1 were significantly different compared to healthy children. The patterns of changes were appropriate with the relaxation pattern of diastolic dysfunction. The factor associated with the change of diastolic parameters is the duration of illness. Significant differences were not found in the systolic function.
Conclusion. In children with DMT1 there was an increase of left ventricular mass and also diastolic dysfunction with the relaxation pattern. Changes in cardiac mass and diastolic dysfunction are associated with duration of illness and blood pressure.
