This book focuses on massive access to the cellular internet of things (IoT). Both theory and technique are addressed, with more weight placed on the latter. This is achieved by providing in-depth studies on a number of central topics such as channel state information acquisition, user clustering, superposition coding, and successive interference cancellation. Four typical application scenarios are examined in detail, namely the stationary IoT device scenario, frequency division duplex-based low-mobility IoT device scenario, time-division duplex-based IoT device scenario, and high-mobility IoT device scenario. The comprehensive and systematic treatment of key techniques in massive access to the cellular IoT is one of the major features of the book, which is particularly suited for readers who are interested in finding practical solutions for the cellular IoT. As such, it will benefit researchers, engineers, and graduate students in the fields of information engineering, telecommunications engineering, computer engineering, etc.

Saat ini, industri manufaktur memiliki tantangan untuk dapat mengelola rantai produksi dengan tanggap dan cepat. Dengan latar belakang tersebut, muncul ide untuk memenuhi kebutuhan industri manufaktur dengan menggunakan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi faktor-faktor penentu yang memengaruhi keputusan adopsi teknologi Internet of Things pada salah satu industri agrobisnis di Indonesia yaitu PT. XYZ. Model penelitian ini dibangun dengan menggabungkan dua teori adopsi teknologi informasi yaitu technology-organization-environment (TOE) dan human-organization-technology (HOT-fit). Model penelitian ini terdiri empat kriteria utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu kriteria manusia, teknologi, organisasi, dan lingkungan dengan 20 faktor tersebar di masing-masing kriteria. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan kepada 12 pengambil keputusan PT. XYZ. Pengolahan data menggunakan pemodelan Decision Making Trial and Evaluation and Laboratory (DEMATEL). Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah kriteria manusia merupakan kriteria paling penting jika dibandingkan dengan kriteria utama lainnya. Dari kriteria manusia, faktor sikap inovasi para pemimpin dan kemampuan teknikal staf TI merupakan faktor paling penting jika dibandingkan dengan faktor-faktor lainnya. Dari kriteria teknologi, faktor infrastruktur SI/TI dan keamanan dan privasi data merupakan faktor paling penting jika dibandingkan dengan faktor-faktor lainnya. Dari kriteria organisasi, faktor dukungan manajemen puncak dan biaya adopsi teknologi yang dirasakan merupakan faktor paling penting jika dibandingkan dengan faktor-faktor lainnya. Dari kriteria lingkungan, faktor tekanan mimetik yang dirasakan dan tekanan koersif yang dirasakan merupakan faktor paling penting jika dibandingkan dengan faktor-faktor lainnya.


Recently, manufacturing industry has been challenged of being able to manage the production chain responsively and rapidly. With this background, the idea emerged to meet the needs of manufacturing industry by using Internet of Thing (IoT) technology. The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinant factors that influence decision to adopt Internet of Things technology in one of Agribusiness Industries in Indonesia, namely PT. XYZ. This research model was built by integrating two information technology adoption theories, technology-organization-environment (TOE) and human-organization-technology (HOT-fit). This reseach model consists of four main criteria which are human, technology, organization, and environment with 20 factors spread over each criteria. Data were collected by using a questionnaire given to 12 decision makers at PT. XYZ and analyzed using Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL). The concusion obtained in this study is that human and technology criteria are the most important criteria when compared to other main criteria. From human criteria, the champions innovativeness and technical skills of IT staff is the most importnant factor when compared with other factors. From the technology criteria, the IS/IT infrastructure and data security and privacy are the most important factors when compared to other factors. From organization criteria, top management support and perceived of cost technology adoption are the most important factors when compared with other factors. From environment criteria, the perceived of mimetic pressure dan perceived coercive pressure are the most important factors when compared to other factors.

Kemudahan manusia dalam mengakses informasi kapan dan dimana saja adalah tujuan diciptakannya Internet of Things (IoT). Banyak teknologi yang dapat menyokong implementasi IoT berjalan mulus, salah satunya Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN). Bertujuan mengirim informasi dalam jarak jauh dan konsumsi energi rendah, LPWAN didukung oleh teknologi physical layer sebagai platform modulasi radio untuk Internet of Things contohnya seperti LoRa. Berbagai data yang diterima oleh sensor node, maka diperlukan sebuah protokol penjadwalan sebelum melakukan transmisi ke base station atau sink node. Dalam riset ini, model penjadwalan yang akan digunakan adalah First Come First Served pada Cluster Head (CH-FCFS) dengan desain topologi jaringan star of stars. Model diimplementasikan ke dalam dua jaringan dengan 25 sensor nodes dan 1 cluster head; 50 sensor nodes dan 2 cluster head. Pengujian sistem model ini menggunakan simulator CupCarbon U-One 4.2. Hasil analisa jaringan pertama dan kedua memiliki keberhasilan pengiriman data sebesar 100% hingga ke sink node. Konsumsi energi 5 tahun untuk sensor node, cluster head S100, dan cluster head S200 adalah 22.732,2 Joule, 1.121.280 Joule, dan 1.121.280 Joule. Konsumsi energi 10 tahun untuk sensor node, cluster head S100, dan cluster head S200 adalah 45.464,4 Joule, 2.242.560 Joule, dan 2.242.560 Joule. Pengaruh dari penggunaan model scheduling dan penyesuaian penggunaan sensor berbasis baterai dijelaskan lebih rinci sesuai komunikasi model konsumsi energi pada simulasi.
The ease with which humans access information anytime and anywhere is the purpose of the creation of the Internet of Things (IoT). Many technologies can support the implementation of IoT running smoothly, one of which is the Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN). Aiming at sending information over long distances and low energy consumption, LPWAN is supported by physical layer technology as a radio modulation platform for the Internet of Things for example like LoRa. Various data received by the sensor node, it requires a scheduling protocol before transmitting to the base station or sink node. In this research, the scheduling model that will be used is First Come First Served on Cluster Head (CH-FCFS) with a star of stars network topology design. The model is implemented in two networks with 25 sensor nodes and 1 cluster head; 50 sensor nodes and 2 cluster heads. The system testing of this model uses the CupCarbon U-One 4.2 simulator. The results of the first and second network analysis have the success of sending data by 100% to the sink node. The 5 year energy consumption for sensor nodes, S100 cluster head, and S200 cluster head are 22,732.2 Joules, 1,121,280 Joules, and 1,121,280 Joules. The 10 year energy consumption for sensor nodes, S100 cluster head, and S200 cluster head is 45,464.4 Joules, 2,242,560 Joules, and 2,242,560 Joules. The impact of the use of a scheduling model and adjustments to the use of battery based sensors are explained in more detail according to the communication model of energy consumption in simulations.

Anglophilia is a kind of state of mind in which the owner (the anglophile) adhores English people or English things. In this research the meaning of this term is broadened into a state of mind of people who adhore white people (including white American) and all their properties (way of life, culture, language, etc). This research tries to undo what has happened to the anglophiles especially those who live in am ex-British and American colonized areas as described in two novels - The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy and Dog-eaters by Jessica I Tagedorn. First, it reveals that the theme of those novels is how the people in the novels, in facing the conflicts between their traditional (eastern) culture and the colonizer's (western) culture, strive for a cultural identity. After that, this research shows how anglophi/ia is developed within the frame of the theme. It can be infered that, then, anglophilia is a dilemma for those people (especially the main characters) as, on one side, it does not give a clear stance to the upholders but, on the other side, it cannot be completely avoided. When the anglophiles try to get rid of the western culture and turn to their ancestors' culture, the are faced with dislocation. They cannot deny that they still need self actualization by embracing the western culture. This research finds out that both novels offer a temporary solution to the problem. It is the idea of hybridization. The conflicts are regarded as historical impact that has to be taken by the new generation in the colonial areas. They are not anymore purely local while, at the same time, the cannot be fully western. Their identity is in the grey area (between black and white). However, as said before, it is a temporary stance since with their position, they are not yet satisfied. They sill continue searching while being active and dynamic in living their life.

PT. XYZ sebagai salah satu perusahaan telekomunikasi sedang mengembangkan model bisnis baru, yaitu Internet of Things (IoT). Koneksi perangkat IoT ke Internet dapat menjadi ancaman bagi pengguna dan penyedia layanan karena tantangan keamanan. Namun, ditengah potensi ancaman keamanan IoT, PT. XYZ sendiri belum fokus terhadap keamanan dan tidak adanya kerangka kerja tata kelola yang digunakan untuk layanan IoT mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi risiko yang terkait dengan manajemen keamanan layanan IoT di PT. XYZ. Penelitian ini menggunakan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) sebagai metode untuk mengidentifikasi risiko keamanan potensial pada layanan IoT dengan rekomendasi berdasarkan ISO 27002:2013 dan COBIT 2019. Data dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, observasi, studi literatur, dan kuesioner dengan total sembilan penilaian ahli. Dalam studi ini, layanan IoT dibagi menjadi tujuh domain: IoT Device dan Sensor, IoT Network, IoT Platform dan Aplikasi, People, Operations, Asset Management, dan Supplier Management. Kontribusi utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk berkontribusi pada peningkatan kontrol keamanan dan manajemen risiko dalam layanan IoT. Hasil analisis risiko didapatkan kemungkinan 31 potensial risiko pada layanan IoT dengan 23 risiko yang membutuhkan tindakan korektif.
ABSTRACT
XYZ agency as one of the telecommunications companies is developing a new business model, namely the Internet of Things (IoT). The connection of IoT devices to the Internet can be a threat to users and service providers due to security challenges. However, XYZ agency has not yet implemented a security framework for their IoT service. This study aims to identify the risks associated with IoT service security management at XYZ agency. This study uses Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) as a method to identify potential security risks in IoT services with recommendations based on ISO 27002: 2013 and COBIT 2019. Data were collected by interview, observation, literature studies, and questionnaire with total 9 experts' judgement. In this study, IoT services are divided into seven domains: IoT Devices and Sensors, IoT Networks, Platforms and Applications, People, Operations, Asset Management, and Suppliers. The major contribution of this study is to contribute the improvement of security controls risk management in IoT services. The results of the risk analysis show that there are 31 potential risks in IoT services with 23 risks that require corrective action.

Dalam konteks manajemen logistik, perusahaan FMCG umumnya memiliki sejumlah besar transportasi, produk, dan distributor. Sejumlah besar distributor yang beroperasi secara terpisah memiliki potensi kesalahan informasi yang diberikan kepada perusahaan. Ada kebutuhan untuk sistem informasi logistik untuk mengintegrasikan informasi dan operasi secara real-time untuk menyelesaikan masalah dan membuat keputusan yang tepat dan cepat. Penggunaan teknologi informasi seperti Internet untuk aplikasi berbasis hal-hal semakin dibutuhkan untuk inovasi dalam pengembangan proses logistik karena dapat mempercepat proses dan mengurangi biaya. Namun, ada risiko dan tantangan dalam menerapkan teknologi IoT ke sistem termasuk sumber daya manusia, kemampuan teknologi dan, sehingga perusahaan harus menyiapkan biaya investasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan penerapan teknologi baru. Penilaian kelayakan ekonomi diperlukan untuk menilai apakah investasi dapat menguntungkan perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan perhitungan Net Present Value (NPV), Periode Payback (PP), Return on Investment (ROI), dan Profitability Index (PI).
In the context of logistics management, FMCG companies generally have a large amount of transportation, products, and distributors. A large number of distributors operating separately has the potential for misinformation provided to the company. There is a need for a logistics information system to integrate information and operations in real-time to solve problems and make the right and fast decisions. The use of information technology such as Internet of things-based applications is increasingly needed for innovation in the development of logistics processes because it can speed up processes and reduce costs. However, there are risks and challenges in applying IoT technology to the system including human resources, technological capabilities and, so companies must prepare investment costs to meet the needs of implementing the new technology. An economic feasibility assessment is needed to assess whether the investment can benefit the company. This study uses the calculation of Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period (PP), Return on Investment (ROI), and Profitability Index (PI).
