Sebuah terminal air akan berfungsi sebagai penyambung daerah Pancoran dengan keseluruhan kawasan bersejarah Jakarta lainnya dan juga berfungsi sebagai penunjang kegiatan pariwisata pada konteks local Glodok dan Pancoran bersama dengan perancangan masterplan Pancoran Glodok.
Jl. Pancoran is an area surrounded by heritage sites that are Kota Tua and Glodok. In this design plan, Jl. Pancoran acts as a bridge to connect the urban people of Jakarta with the heritage tourism in Kota Tua by offering a multitude of supporting facilities and its own set of attractions. To realise that, a site development in the form of water transportation is done on the Krukut Canal which is connected all the way to Sunda Kelapa Harbour to create a public transport system as well as attraction in the form of a water terminal.
The water terminal aims to function as a direct connection between Pancoran and the Jakarta heritage areas as well as a supporting amenity in its own local context along with the redesign of the Pancoran Glodok masterplan.
