"The meaning of technology transfer is so wide but mostly involving some form of technology-related
exchange. However, in this particular paper, technology transfer is consider as a concept to
examine the process of disseminating knowledge and skills that a person owned to another person
in order to generate higher productivity with new approach of producing a particular product
or service. Although, many researchers have explored the evolution of technology transfer,
nonetheless some drivers are yet to be explored in a Malaysian manufacturing industry. This study,
therefore attempts to determine the relationship between absorptive capacity, transfer capacity,
communication motivation and learning intent and technology transfer performance. A survey
methodology was used in a Japanese multinational company based in Klang Valley, Malaysia. A
total of 117 questionnaires were received. Results show that absorptive capacity is the most significant
to influence technology transfer performance."

"The work presents and describes the phenomenon of technology transfer from universities to industry through an original perspective, from "insiders", that is, the perspective of universities. The book tells, through the pen of the same players, the birth, growth and experiences of Technology Transfer Offices (TTO) of the main Italian universities, highlighting the heterogeneity of their ambitions, goals achieved and the resources available to them for the development of scientific research. The basic idea of the work is that the "numbers" give a vision important but only part of what is a university TTO. The technology transfer professionals has shown that the activities of these offices is full of meaningful stories and high education, where the human element, and the ways in which it is run, play a central role in knowledge transfer from research to industry."

This dissertation is an application of Soft Systems research method (SSM) based AR for theoretical research interest (Cronholm and Goldkuhl, 2003) to analyze technology transfer in the framework of the institutional approach. Technology Transfer was seen in the Japanese automotive industry in Indonesia in the context of Indonesia Japan Economic Partnership Agreement 2008-2012. SSM-based action research method was applied to a Japanese affiliated automotive company's in Indonesia. An important finding of this dissertation is that the technology transfer that occurs empirically was not only a knowledge transfer process as non- sociological studies had done so far. Technology transfer is an economic institution that containing social relationships that constructed on values and norms that interpreted among the groups. In other words, the transfer of technology is a social construction (Granovetter, 1992). This dissertation also managed to answer the need of theoretical specification the conception of embeddedness as a key to the formation of the trust in the social construction (Nee 2003: 24). Empirically, it was found that embeddedness in the micro level also occurred at meso and macro levels since individuals involved in the micro are also part of the higher structures. Thus the institutional framework proposed by Nee (2003) completed the analysis of the social construction of technology transfer from the micro to the meso level. Finally, the contribution of this research is the study of economics sociology and other institution based sociology which focus on the analysis of economic institutions or other institutions as social constructions are able to analyze a social construction from micro level to the meso and macro level within the framework of analysis."

"Fish bone waste has long been used in research laboratories and it is unfortunate that still many
communities fail to understand its importance that makes it necessary for the program to transfer
knowledge to the community inorder to improve its usefulness. The technology of processing
fish bone that has been transferred to the community was to utilize the fish bone waste into the
various needs of the community. The program is seen as having the capability to improve the
community environment and contribute to community development policy, projects and research
in social engineering. Fish bone is a form of waste generated from the fish crackers processing
industries that contain the highest content of calcium. In terms of food and nutrition, fish bones
are rich in calcium, phosphorus and carbonate needed by human. Involvement of the community
to use leftover fish bone to produce hydroxyapatite is a way to improve society and reduce
pollution. In addition, hydroxyapatite can also be used as a bone replacement implants, heart
valves, hip extension and other implants in the human body."

"The tourism and travel sector has contributed significantly to Indonesia’s economic growth and robust development. Despite its positive impact, tourism and travel business activities also potentially impact environmental loss. In order to reduce these negative impacts, the new concept of tourism, namely low-carbon tourism, which focuses on environmental sustainability, can be implemented as the enabler. One of the factors that can support the implementation is the existence of environmentally friendly technology that requires a technology transfer process. This paper aims to overview the role and implication of technology transfer for enabling low-carbon tourism in Indonesia and outlining a conceptual framework for addressing the political (P), economic (E), social (S), technological (T), environmental (E), and legal (L) factors that constrain and support in enabling low-carbon tourism through technology transfer in Indonesia. A qualitative library research method and PESTEL analysis were employed to analyze and map the implications of external factors influencing the development of low-carbon tourism through technology transfer in Indonesia. The paper denotes that all the factors (political, economic, social, technological, environmental, and legal) were interrelated. Nevertheless, the economic factor was the only one with a moderate policy to encourage businesses to use green practices, particularly for the carbon tax policy. Consequently, there was still an opportunity for monetary policy to promote low-carbon tourism."

ABSTRAK
The activity of knowledge and technology transfer from the academic side into businesses or the industrial sector through various schemes, so-called university technology transfer or academic technology transfer, involves a complex process of developing research ideas into the utilization of research. Historically, university technology transfer was triggered by amendment of the U.S. Patent Law, named the Bayh-Dole Act. Shortly after the amendment, technology transfer activity at U.S. universities escalated, particularly in patent and license activities. The movement of transfer technology was closed related to a research activity of the university and university patent in general. Through empirical study, this paper identifies technology transfer activities specifically on herbal pharmaceutical products at two Indonesian state universities, i.e. Institut Pertanian Bogor and Universitas Indonesia. The identification of technology transfer activity in both universities aims to study whether IPRs play a significant role in technology transfer activity. "

"Teknologi persenjataan Indonesia, khususnya teknologi Alutsista masih memiliki banyak ketertinggalan dibanding negara maju.

Indonesian weapons technology, especially Weaponry System rsquo s Primary Equipments WSPE technology still has a lot of backwardness compared to developed countries. Therefore, the procurement of the Main Equipment of Indonesian Weapon System is generally done through the procurement purchasing from abroad. Technology transfer is a technology obtaining mechanism that has the potential to increase Indonesia 39 s technological independence in the future, but its arrangement in Indonesia is still not enough to support the realization of Indonesia 39 s technological independence. In this research the author will try to dissect the arrangement of technology transfer in Indonesia especially in the context of procurement of WSPE by using cooperation project of development of KF X IF X fighter aircraft between Indonesia and South Korea as variables analyzed, considering this program is a fighter aircraft development program which the first to involve Indonesia from its initial process. The research method in writing this thesis is juridical normative research with qualitative approach, and using library materials and interview. The findings to be presented in this study are aspects that must be considered when Indonesia wants to transfer technology especially in the acquisition of WSPE and a proposal to give basic principles for the implementation of technology transfer in general by involving educational institutions and R D units to maximize the capacity of technology research in order to realize Indonesia as an independent country in developing and managing technology in the future.
