ABSTRACT
This is a reflection and field trip report about the scene of teaching and learning Arabic as a foreign language in Oman, as part of a project to write about the same topic in different Arabic speaking countries, hoping It may be useful for foreign learners of Arabic. The visit was between 19th to 25th of February 2018 and financed by the research money allocated by Osaka University to the writer. The traditional places to study Arabic as a foreign language were usually -related with Cairo-Egypt, Damascus- Syria, Amman-Jordan, and Tunis- Tunisia. Oman is joining the race to attract learners for two reasons+ the possibility to learn the dialect of a Gulf country; and after the Arab spring it became difficult to visit some countries for safety reasons.

Skripsi ini menjelaskan tentang metode pengajaran bahasa Arab Mustaqilli yang diterapkan di lembaga kursus bahasa Arab Depok Arabic Center. Penerapan metode Mustaqilli ini meliputi kemahiran mendengar, kemahiran berbicara, kemahiran membaca, dan kemahiran menulis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada skripsi ini sebagian besar adalah metode kuantitatif, namun metode kualitatif juga digunakan sebagai pendukung dalam menganalisis data yang diperoleh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dan menggabarkan penerapan serta keefektifitasan metode pengajaran bahasa Arab Mustaqilli di lembaga kursus bahasa Arab Depok Arabic Center. Hasil penelitian ini merupakan deskripsi penerapan metode Mustaqilli pada empat kemahiran bahasa Arab serta penjabaran tingkat efektifitas metode pengajaran bahasa Arab Mustaqilli.
This research describes Arabic teaching method Mustaqilli in Arabic Course Institute Depok Arabic Center. The application of Mustaqilli method includes language proficiency of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skill. The research method used in this paper is quantitative. Besides, qualitative method is also used as a support in analyze the data obtained. The purpose of this research is to explain and describes the application and efectivity of Arabic teaching method Mustaqilli in Arabic course institute Depok Arabic Center. The result of this research are descriptions Arabic teaching methods of four skills Arabic language and the efectivity level of the teaching method Mustaqilli.
