Disk-drive 5 1/4" memBiki motor stepper jenis hibrid, yang menggunakan magnet permanen, sehingga motor in! dapat dibalik prosesnya menjadl semacam generator pulse sebagal fungsi dan kecepatan putar. Dengan analisa aliran fluks pada gigi stator dan rotor motor stepper menunjukkan bahwa putaran rotor proporsional dengan lreKuensi pulsa listnk yang dihasilkan. Dengan demikian dapat dirancang alat untuk memproses output tersebut untuk menunjukkan hasil ukur putaran. Rangkaian digttal dipilih karena denyut pulse listriK memang cocok dengan sistem digbal, selain karena rangkaian dlgitallebih akurat dan kepresisiannya dapat diatur. Sistem dan komponen yang digunakan antara lain pemantik Schmitt (Schmitt trigger), pencacah (counter),
dekoder, flip-flop, tampilan (display), dan beberapa gerbang logika.

Abstract
Disk-drive 5 1/4" has stepper motor of hybrid type, which use permanent magnet This motor can be reversed as some kind pulses generator that inform the speed of rotation. The analysis of flux stream at stator's and rotors teeth of stepper motor shows that the speed of rotation is proportional with the electric pulses frequency produce by the motor. So we can develop the device to process the output to show the measurement of the speed of rotation. The digital dasign is chosen since the electric pulse is suitable for the digbal system, beside of the better accuracy of digbal design and the precision can be adjusted. The systems and components used are Schmitt trigger, counter, decoder, flip-flop, display, and logic gates."
