"Disputes pada industri konstruksi global semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya. Hal ini juga sejalan dengan yang terjadi di industri konstruksi Indonesia khususnya pada PT. XYZ yang merupakan salah satu produsen pulp and paper di Indonesia. Dari 128 kontrak konstruksi jasa pembangunan fasilitas produksi perusahaan dari tahun 2015 sampai dengan 2021, terdapat kasus disputes pada 45 kontrak jasa konstruksi atau 35.2% dari total kontrak kerja jasa konstruksi. Keterlambatan penanganan disputes ini akan berdampak pada kerugian pada keduabelah pihak baik pihak owner ataupun pihak contractors. Paper ini mengidentifikasi 13 penyebab disputes dan 10 metode penyelesaian disputes di Indonesia. Jurnal ini memaparkan urutan metode penyelesaian disputes terhadap masing-masing penyebab disputes yang teridentifikasi di industri konstruksi di Indonesia. Kuesioner survey responden telah dikirimkan kepada 60 responden professional di bidang konstruksi di Indonesia. Diperoleh 35 hasil survey responden secara lengkap dan dianalisa. Hasil dari analisa data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat urutan metode yang berbeda untuk dampak terhadap biaya dan waktu dalam penyelesaian disputes pada masing-masing penyebab disputes. Dalam hal dampak terhadap waktu, Negotiation mayoritas menduduki peringkat pertama dalam penyelesaian disputes dan diikuti oleh metode Dispute Review Board (DRB). Sedangkan dalam hal dampak terhadap biaya, Negotiation juga mayoritas menduduki peringkat pertama akan tetapi diikuti dengan metode Mediation. Sedangkan untuk untuk semua penyebab disputes, semua responden setuju bahwa metode Arbritation dan Litigation (peradilan) adalah metode terakhir dalam penyelesaian disputes di industri konstruksi di Indonesia.

Disputes in the global construction industry are increasing every year. This is also in line with what is happening in the Indonesian construction industry, particularly at PT. XYZ, which is one of the pulp and paper producers in Indonesia. From 128 construction contracts for the company's production facility development services from 2015 to 2021, there were disputes in 45 construction service contracts or 35.2% of the total construction service contracts. The trend on time taken to resolve disputes is also observed in PT XYZ from 2015 to 2022, where the average time taken to resolve disputes was 16.38 months. The delay in handling these disputes will result in losses for both parties, whether the owner or the contractors. This paper identifies 13 causes of disputes and 10 dispute resolution methods in Indonesia. This paper outlines the sequence of dispute resolution methods for each identified cause of disputes in the construction industry in Indonesia. The respondent survey questionnaire has been sent to 60 professionals in the construction industry in Indonesia. 35 complete survey responses were obtained and analyzed. The results of the data analysis show that there are different methods for the impact on time in dispute resolution for each cause of disputes. Negotiation predominantly ranks first in dispute resolution, followed by the Estimate Cost Resolution method. Meanwhile, for all causes of disputes, all respondents have an agreement that Arbitration and Litigation are the last methods in dispute resolution method in the construction industry in Indonesia."
