Abstrak :
Teacher as a professional educational is demanded to have a set of competence in carrying out the daily tasks. One of the competences is social competence. The social competence of teachers is that teachers have an objective, inclusive and non discriminative attitude, well-mannered eitherin speech or in act, capable in communicating verbally, writtenly and gesture. In addition, teachers have to coordinate with the students, other fellow teachers, educational staff, student’s parents as well asthe society. They must also be able to adapt with the community. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence work with the social competence of teachers in Vocational Schools of Gorontalo City. The result of multiple correlation coefficient which showed between emotional intelligence and spiritual intelegence toward social competence. This means that the better the emotional and spiritual intelligence of teacher, the better the effect of the social competence of teachers will be.

Sebagai pendidik professional guru dituntut memiliki seperangkat kompetensi dalam melaksanakan tugas sehari-hari. Salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki guru adalah kompetensi sosial. Kompetensi sosial guru yang dimaksud adalah kemampuan guru dalam bersikap obyektif, inklusif, dan tidak diskriminatif, santun baik dalam perkataan maupun perbuatan, mampu berkomunikasi baik secara lisan, tulisan dan isyarat, menjalin hubungan dengan peserta didik, sesama pendidik, tenaga kependidikan, orang tua peserta didik, dan masyarakat sekitar serta mampu beradaptasi dengan komunitas masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan spiritual dengan kompetensi sosial guru. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi, ditemukan adanya hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kecerdasan spiritual dengan kompetensi sosial guru. Hal ini mengandung arti bahwa semakin baik kecerdasan emosional dan spiritual guru, semakin baik dampak yang dihasilkan dari peningkatan kompetensi sosial guru.

Beberapa penelitian telah menemukan adanya hubungan antara kompetensi social dan executive function, namun masih terdapat inkonsistensi hubungan antara komponenkomponen di dalamnya. Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kontribusi dari komponen hot dan cool dalam executive function, dan factor jenis kelamin dalam memprediksi kompetensi sosial pada anak usia 60-72 bulan. Pengukuran kompetensi sosial dilakukan melalui kuesioner PKBS SKala A yang telah diadaptasi dalam bahasa Indonesia. Pengukuran executive function dilakukan melalui tes performa pada battery task Backward Word Span, Rumput/Matahari, Dimension Change Card Sort, dan Gift Delay. Metode statistik inferensial yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah independent sample t-test, dan standard multiple regression. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa baik faktor jenis kelamin, maupun komponen hot dan cool executive function tidak dapat memprediksi kompetensi sosial pada anak usia 60-72 bulan secara signifikan. Meskipun begitu, dalam penelitian ini ditemukan korelasi yang signifikan antara komponen hot executive function dengan faktor jenis kelamin dan kompetensi sosial pada anak usia 60-72 bulan. ...... Few researches had found correlation between social competence and executive function, though there had also been inconsistency in between. This research was conducted to investigate the contribution of hot and cool executive function, and factor of sex in predicting social competence on 60-72 months children. Social competence was measured using PKBS Skala A which consisted of 34 items. Executive function was measured using performance battery test which consisted of Backward Word Span, Rumput/Matahari, Dimension Change Card Sort, and Gift Delay task. Inferential statistic method used in this research were independent sample t-test, and standard multiple regression. The result showed that there was no significant contribution of sex, hot and cool executive function in predicting social competence on 60-72 months children. However the result also showed that there was a significant correlation between hot executive function and sex, and between hot executive function and social competence on 60-72 months children.
