Abstrak :
Penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai pengembangan masyarakat melalui pembentukan kelompok swadaya masyarakat yang dilaksanakan untuk mengatasi masalah pendidikan anak di Kelurahan Susukan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan studi deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pengembangan masyarakat yang dilakukan dalam rangka pembentukan kelompok swadaya masyarakat ini telah melibatkan partisipasi warga masyarakat dan menggunakan pendekatan non-direktif. Meskipun dalam implementasi pembentukan KSM tersebut ditemui hambatan-hambatan, KSM tersebut tetap berjalan. Pada perkembangan berikutnya, KSM telah berhasil membentuk Yayasan Permata Hati Sejuta Bunga. ......This study describes the development of the community through the formation of Self-help Group to address the problem of children education in Susukan Village. The approach used was qualitative research with a descriptive study. The results show that the community development done in order the formation of self-help group has involve the participation of citizens and uses non-directive approach. Despite in the implementation of the Self-help Group has encountered constraints, The Self-help Group are still running. In the next development, Self-help Group have been successfully formed as Yayasan Permata Hati Sejuta Bunga

Abstrak :
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran implementasi program ASCA yang dijalankan oleh masyarakat layanan lembaga WVI di ADP Kebon Pala. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya rangkaian kegiatan ASCA yang memiliki alur yang teratur dari pengenalan sampai pembagian keuntungan. Layanan keuangan yang tersedia dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kebutuhan finansial keluarga. Implementasi ASCA tidak lepas dari adanya dominasi masyarakat sebagai pengurus dan penerima layanan ASCA yang menggambarkan terwujudnya konsep self-help groups. ......This study was aimed to describe implementation of program ASCA what was executed by client of organization WVI in ADP Kebon Pala. This study used qualitative method and descriptive approach. Result of this study show that ASCA’s activity has well-regulated process. The financial service could be used for the family financial needs. Implementation of ASCA couldn’t be separated from domination of community as boards and customer of ASCA that describing realization self-help groups’ concept.

[Conceived of as an empowering alternative to inpatient treatment and traditional community programs, mental health consumer-run organizations--CROs--offer consumers a hands-on stake in their own recovery. A growing evidence base suggests that CROs are a particularly effective form of self-help, with randomized trials demonstrating CRO participants experience improvements in personal empowerment, social integration, and well-being. Consumer-Run Mental Health explains their methods and analyzes their efficacy. A robust theoretical framework synthesizes diverse perspectives to illuminate behavioral processes that contribute to recovery and the dynamics of CROs in creating environments that promote recovery. Data from the author's studies of CRO participation highlight consumer perceptions of the benefits of their involvement. An in-depth ethnographic study examines participant’s lives inside and outside the organization.
