Abstrak :
Dentists are often taught that 'overcure' is better than 'undercure'. Undercure is said to cause serious problem with resin composite fillings. Actually it does not always happen this way. Overcure also has several bad impacts that have never been thought before by practitioners. Researchers claim that curing time informed by resin composite manufacturers is not always correct. Filling material is not the only factor that determines the correct curing time for each filling. Light cure unit performance also plays a major role.

Latar Belakang: Dalam rongga mulut, komposit resin dapat menyerap sejumlah air yang dapat menyebabkan kelarutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perendaman dalam akuades terhadap penyerapan dan kelarutan komposit resin flowable nanofill dan flowable hybrid giomer. Metode: Jumlah spesimen 21 buah dari masing-masing komposit resin flowable nanofill Filtek Supreme Ultra Flowable Restorative dan flowable hybrid giomer Beautifil Flow Plus Giomer dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok perendaman yaitu 1 hari, 7 hari, dan 14 hari. Backgorund In oral environment, resin composite can absorb amount of water which can lead to solubility. This study aims to analyze the effect of immersion in distilled water to sorption and solubility of flowable nanofill and flowable hybrid giomer resin composite. Methods Twenty two spesimens of each flowable nanofill Filtek Supreme Ultra Flowable Restorative and flowable hybrid giomer Beautifil Flow Plus Giomer were divided into three different immersion time, which were 1 day, 7 days, and 14 days. Latar Belakang : Studi ini mengevaluasi sifat mekanik kekuatan tekan dan sifat fisik morfologi permukaan Resin Komposit Bulk-fill Packable dengan Flowable. Kedua material ini memiliki kemampuan berpenetrasi cahaya hingga kedalaman 4 mm namun dengan viskositas yang berbeda. Keduanya memiliki kandungan monomer dan konsentrasi filler yang berbeda dimana hal tersebut mempengaruhi sifat mekanik dan fisiknya. Tujuan : Mengetahui perbandingan kekuatan tekan Resin Komposit Bulk-fill Packable dengan Flowable, serta hubungannya dengan morfologi permukaan. Metode : 12 spesimen Resin Komposit Bulk-fill Packable dan Flowable disiapkan untuk uji kekuatan tekan lalu dianalisis dengan uji Independent T-test. Kemudian spesimen Resin Komposit Bulk-fill Packable dan Flowable disiapkan untuk analisis morfologi permukaan menggunakan SEM. Hasil Penelitian : Tidak terdapat perbedaan bermakna nilai kekuatan tekan antara Resin Komposit Bulk-fill Packable dan Flowable dengan nilai kekuatan tekan RK Bulk-fill Packable lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan Flowable. Resin Komposit Bulk-fill Packable memiliki permukaan eksternal yang lebih tidak beraturan, ukuran partikel yang beragam, dan lebih banyak porus. Kesimpulan : Resin Komposit Bulk-fill Packable menunjukkan nilai kekuatan tekan yang sama dengan Resin Komposit Bulk-fill Flowable. Material RK Bulk-fill Packable memiliki morfologi permukaan yang tidak beraturan, lebih banyak porus, dan ukuran partikel yang lebih beragam dibandingkan dengan RK Bulk-fill Flowable. ......Background : This study evaluates the compressive strength and surface morphology of the Resin Composite Bulk-fill Packable and Flowable. Both of these materials have the ability to penetrate light to a depth of 4 mm but with different viscosities. Each Resin Composite Bulk-fill have different monomer content and filler concentrations which affect their mechanical and physical properties. Objective : Knowing the comparison of the compressive strength of Resin Composite Bulk-fill Packable with Flowable, and its relationship with surface morphology. Methods : 12 specimens of Resin Composite Bulk-fill Packable and Flowable were prepared for compressive strength test and then analyzed by Independent T-test. Then specimens of Resin Composite Bulk-fill Packable and Flowable were prepared for surface morphology analysis using SEM. Results : There was no significant difference in the compressive strength values between Resin Composite Bulk-fill Packable and Flowable with the compressive strength of Resin Composite Bulk-fill Packable being higher than Flowable. Resin Composite Bulk-fill Packable have a more irregular external surface, a variety of particle sizes, and are more porous. Conclusion : Resin Composite Bulk-fill Packable shows the same compressive strength value as Resin Composite Bulk-fill Flowable. The Resin Composite Bulk-fill Packable material has an irregular surface morphology, more voids, and more diverse particle size compared to Resin Composite Bulk-fill Flowable.

Abstrak :
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan sumber sinar berbeda terhadap kekuatan tarik diametral resin komposit bulk-fill. Resin komposit bulk-fill Tetric N-Ceram Bulk Fill dibuat sebanyak 20 spesimen berbentuk lempeng dengan diameter 6 mm dan tebal 3 mm. Spesimen dibagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok yang disinari dengan sumber sinar QTH dan sumber sinar LED. Uji kekuatan tarik diametral dilakukan dengan menggunakan Universal Testing Machine. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata kekuatan tarik diametral resin komposit bulk-fill yang disinari sumber sinar QTH dan LED sebesar 38.62 2.34 dan 42.02 3.21. Hasil uji independent sample T menunjukkan nilai rerata pada kedua kelompok berbeda bermakna. ......This study aimed to evaluate the effect of using different light sources on the diametral tensile strength of bulk fill resin composite. Bulk fill resin composite Tetric N Ceram Bulk Fill was used to make of 20 disc shape specimens with 6 mm in diameter and 3 mm in thickness. Specimens were divided into two groups, the two groups were polymerized with using QTH and LED light source curing unit. Diametral tensile strength test was conducted by using a Universal Testing Machine Shimadzu, Japan. The results showed that diametral tensile strength mean value of bulk fill resin composite that were cured with QTH and LED light source were 38.62 2.34 and 42.02 3.21 MPa respectively. Independent sample t test results showed that the mean value of the two groups was significantly different.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ketebalan komposit resin serat pendek KRSP dan waktu penyinaran terhadap kekerasan dan depth of cure DoC. Dua puluh empat spesimen KRSP EverX PosteriorTM berbentuk silinder berdiameter 6 mm, dibagi menjadi dua kelompok ketebalan: 4 dan 5 mm n=12. Setiap kelompok ketebalan disinar dengan jarak 2 mm, iradiansi 800 mW/cm2 selama 25 dan 30 detik n=6. Nilai kekerasan diukur dengan uji Vickers dan DoC didapatkan dengan menghitung rasio kekerasan permukaan atas dan bawah KRSP. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji One-way ANOVA. Disimpulkan ketebalan dan waktu penyinaran mempengaruhi kekerasan dan DoC KRSP sebagai substruktur. ......This study aims to analyze the effect of short fibre reinforced resin composite SFRC thickness and curing time on the hardness and depth of cure DoC. Twenty four specimens of SFRC EverX PosteriorTM were made and formed into cylindrical shapes with 6 mm in diameter, divided into two different thickness groups 4 and 5 mm n 12. Each thickness group were cured with 2 mm light curing distance, irradiance 800 mW cm2 for 25 and 30 seconds n 6. The hardness was measured by Vickers test and depth of cure was obtained by calculating the hardness ratio of the bottom to the top surface. Data were analyzed statistically by One Way ANOVA tests. It was concluded that thickness and curing time has significant effect on the hardness and DoC of SFRC as substructure.

To overcome this problem a space maintainer is need. But, space maintainer need to undergo a laboratorium process, which means needed more time and money. This paper reported a case with premature loss of maxillary first primary molar using space maintainer which can be used immediately, easy to do, and need low cost, a simple fixed space maintainer bonded wirb flowable resin composite.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh ketebalan komposit resin serat pendek KRSP dan iradiansi terhadap kekerasan dan depth of cure DoC. Dua puluh empat spesimen KRSP berbentuk silinder berdiameter 6 mm dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok ketebalan; 4 dan 5 mm n=12. Masing-masing kelompok dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yang dipolimerisasi dengan iradiansi berbeda; 1000 dan 1200 mW/cm2 n=6. Setiap spesimen dipolimerisasi selama 20 detik dengan jarak penyinaran 2 mm. Nilai kekerasan didapat melalui uji kekerasan Vickers dan DoC didapat dengan mengukur rasio kekerasan permukaan bawah terhadap permukaan atas. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik One-Way ANOVA. Each group was divided into another 2 different groups which was cured by different irradiance 1000 and 1200 mW cm2 n 6 . Each specimen was cured for 20s with 2 mm light curing distance. The hardness was measured by Vickers hardness test and DoC was measured by calculating a hardness ratio of the bottom to the top surface of specimens. Data were analyzed statistically by One Way ANOVA tests. The result showed significant differences.
