Abstrak :
Jagakarsa is one of "the water catchment areas" in Jakarta that has green open space. The elements and design of the green open space are very important to be studied, in relation to the occurrence of the wild animal particularly birds in this area. The tittle of this study is "A study on biodiversity of green open space in Jagakarsa water catchment area". The report was divided into two sub tittles: "Vegetation structure and composition at the green open space of water catchment area in Jagakarsa", and "Bird inventory at the green open space of water catchment area in Jagakarsa". The objectives of this study are to examine the structure and composition of the vegetation related to the occurrence of birds in the green open space. The study was conducted from July to December 1999 by compiling both primary and secondary data. The study area was divided into four categories; home garden, green belt along the river, cemetery area (modern and traditional), and urban forests. The highest diversity of vegetation was found in home garden, which was consisted of fruits, and plants used as house fence. Over half of plant in species at home garden are ornamental plant. Beside that, heterogeneity plants at home garden showed higher than the other green open space in Jagakarsa, Also, home garden was managed better than the other green open space in Jagakarsa. Generally, people around the river use green belt along the river as fruit garden. Plant species diversity in those belt are lower than home garden and less managed by people. However, at the green belt along Krukut river was found the regenerated of plants. The vegetation neither ornamental nor valuable cemetery plants with urban cemetery concept was dominated by ornamental plants with high esthetical value, which has maximum height less than one meter. In the traditional cemetery, Ptumeria alba, Codeaeum variegatum, Dracaena fragrans were found dominantly planted with irregularity in patterns. There were 28 species of 18 families of birds found in this study. The highest number of species {15 species) was found at the green belt along Ciliwung River, and surrounding of Situ Babakan (14 species). Water birds were found at Ciliwung River, Kali Krukut, and Situ Babakan. Birds that living in high grasses and shrubs also found at these areas. Most of the birds found in the area are insectivore (42,86%). Vegetation is very important for bird, not only as food resources but also as a resting, sleeping, and nesting place. Fruits and flowers as food resources of insect related to the occurrence of birds were discussed in this paper. iv Habitat degadration and bird hunting are threats for the birds. Therefore, community awareness, selection of plant species, and design of vegetation pattern that fulfil the needs of bird are very important for bird conservation in urban city.

Air tanah merupakan salah satu sumber daya alam yang sangat penting. Berdasarkan kebutuhan penduduk, penggunaan air tanah memenuhi sekitar 60% untuk irigasi, industri, air minum, MCK, dll. Berdasarkan data DESDM Provinsi Banten (2016), wilayah Kecamatan Bayah termasuk ke dalam akuifer produktif kecil dan air bawah tanah langka. Dengan berkembangnya Wisata di wilayah Bayah maka akan diperlukan tata ruang kawasan objek wisata yang diharapkan tidak hanya mementingkan keuntungan saja melainkan dengan berwawasan lingkungan. Salah satu hal yang penting dalam penentuan tata ruang berwawasan lingkungan adalah dengan penentuan kawasan resapan air tanah di daerah tersebut, mengingat air tanah atau akuifer di wilayah Bayah sendiri yang memiliki produktif kecil dan langka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sebaran potensi resapan air tanah di daerah Kecamatan Bayah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan metode Remote Sensing atau penginderaan jauh. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah peta geologi, citra DEMNAS, citra Landsat-8, citra Landsat-5 TM, stasiun curah hujan Bayah. Data-data tersebut diolah menggunakan GIS untuk menghasilkan peta-peta tematik seperti peta litologi, tutupan lahan, densitas pola kelurusan, densitas drainase, curah hujan, kemiringan lereng, dan geomorfologi. Dari seluruh peta tematik dilakukan skoring dengan metode multi-criteria evaluation/analysis berdasarkan keunggulan tiap peta tematik dan data di dalam peta tematik itu sendiri terhadap besar resapan air tanah. Hasil dari skoring pada tiap peta tematik kemudian dilakukan overlay tiap peta tematik untuk menghasilkan peta potensi resapan air tanah. Groundwater is one of the most important natural resources. With the development of tourism in the Bayah region, it will be necessary to have a spatial layout of tourist attractions that are expected not only to be concerned with profit but also with environmental insight. One of the important things in determining environmentally planning is by determining groundwater recharge areas in the area, considering groundwater or aquifers in the Bayah region itself which has small and rare productions. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of potential groundwater recharge in the Bayah District. The method used in this study is the Remote Sensing method. Data sources which used here is geological maps, DEMNAS imagery, Landsat-8 imagery, Landsat-5 TM imagery, Bayah rainfall stations. These data are processed using GIS to produce thematic maps such as lithology maps, land cover, Lineament density, drainage density, rainfall, slope, and geomorphology. Scoring of all thematic maps is done using the multi-criteria evaluation / analysis method based on the superiority of each thematic map and the data in the thematic map itself on large groundwater recharge. The results of scoring on each thematic map are then overlaid on each thematic map to produce a map of potential groundwater recharge

Penggunaan air tanah yang semakin meningkat, berpengaruh terhadap penurunan muka air tanah. Salah satu upaya konservasi air tanah adalah dengan melakukan pengisian buatan (artificial recharge) melalui sumur resapan. Untuk dapat merencanakan dimensi sumur resapan diperlukan suatu alat bantu yang mudah, cepat, dan akurat. Alat bantu yang dikembangkan adalah model numerik Beda Hingga yang diterapkan ke dalam bentuk Implisit. Model ini dibuat agar dapat mensimulasikan besarnya perubahan tinggi tekanan, saturasi dan besar aliran air tanah pada lapisan tak-jenuh air secara tiga dimensi. Program aliran air tanah pada lapisan tak-jenuh air secara tiga dimensi ini sudah diuji pada kasus sumur resapan dan hasilnya memperlihatkan kemampuan program untuk menghasilkan keluaran yang sesuai dengan teori. Skripsi ini juga memberi contoh pemanfaatan program untuk mencari dimensi sumur resapan. ......Increment of groundwater use decreases groundwater level. One alternative to conserve groundwater is to install artificial recharge through infiltration well. To design infiltration well requires computational tools which are quick and easy. As such a computer program is developed. The program is a 3-D finite difference scheme of unsaturated flow equation implemented into implicit form. This model is able to simulate transient variation of pressure head, saturation and flux distribution in three-dimension space at unsaturated soil. This program has been tested to simulate infiltration occurs on the wall and base of an infiltration well. The output shows that the program is able to produce outputs that are justified theoretically. This paper also gave an example of using the program to design the dimension of infiltration well.

Saat ini, banyak kota yang sedang mengalami urbanisasi yang pesat. Fenomena ini terutama banyak terjadi di daerah pinggiran kota-kota besar dan dapat dikategorikan sebagai urban sprawl seperti yang telah terjadi di Depok, Indonesia. Akibat fenomena ini, banyak lahan dan danau yang semula berperan sebagai kawasan resapan air diubah dan direklamasi sehingga beralih fungsi menjadi kawasan terbangun. Fenomena ini kemudian menimbulkan masalah dan tantangan ekologis baik terhadap Depok maupun kota utamanya, Jakarta yang terutama terjadi terhadap tata air perkotaan. Masalah tata air perkotaan sendiri tidak dapat ditangani secara terpisah berdasarkan lokasinya di daerah tertentu, hal ini perlu ditangani secara keseluruhan dari daerah aliran sungai (DAS) dari hulu ke hilir. Tesis ini bertujuan untuk menunjukan kerusakan ekologis pada sistem tata air yang disebabkan oleh konversi lahan akibat perluasan perkotaan di Depok. Tesis ini akan lebih jauh menyoroti penurunan jumlah ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) di Depok yang jumlahnya terus menurun dari tahun ketahun, yang dimana RTH juga berfungsi sebagai daerah resapan air. Karena adanya masalah alih fungsi lahan, hal ini menghambat target Depok untuk mencapai 30% RTH berdasarkan regulasi yang ada. ......Many cities are going through a massive urbanization. However, the many cases of urbanization happen in the fringes of the main cities and can be classified as an urban sprawl which one of the examples is in Depok, Indonesia. Due to this phenomenon, many lands and lakes that initially have the role of water recharge area are converted and reclaimed into a built-up area. This phenomenon then generates ecological issues and challenges to both the sprawl, Depok, and the main city, Jakarta, especially on the urban water system. The problem of the urban water system itself cannot be treated separately based on its location in particular districts. It needs to be addressed as a whole flow from the upstream to the downstream. This thesis aims to address the ecological damages in the water system caused by land conversion due to urban sprawling of Depok. This thesis further highlights the declining amount of urban open space (RTH) in Depok that acts as a water recharge area over the subsequent year due to land conversion and hindering its goal of reaching 30% urban open space (RTH) regulation.

Ruang terbuka hijau memiliki fungsi ekologi sebagai daerah resapan air dan sumber kenyamanan termal, dan akan optimal jika memiliki luasan lahan bervegetasi sebesar 80-90 %. Ruang terbuka hijau Kalijodo memiliki komposisi luasan lahan bervegetasi sebesar 48 %. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, menggunakan metode campuran untuk menganalisis fungsi ruang terbuka hijau Kalijodo sebagai daerah resapan air dan sumber kenyamanan termal. Hasil penelitian terkait kemampuan penyerapan air menunjukkan nilai sebesar 44,98 %, dan belum memenuhi kriteria penyerapan air ideal suatu taman kota, yaitu sebesar 75-95 %. Hasil penelitian terkait nilai indeks kenyamanan termal (THI) menunjukkan nilai sebesar 30,75, dan nilai ini termasuk dalam kategori sangat tidak nyaman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ruang terbuka hijau Kalijodo tidak menjalankan fungsinya sebagai daerah resapan air dan sumber kenyamanan termal. ......Green open space has an ecological function as a water catchment area and a source of thermal comfort, and will be optimal if it has a vegetated area of 80-90 %. Kalijodo green open space has a 48 % composition of vegetated land area. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach, using a mixed method to analyze the function of the Kalijodo green open space as a water catchment area and a source of thermal comfort. The results of the research related to the water absorption capacity showed a value of 44,98 %, and it did not meet the ideal water absorption criteria for a city park, which was 75-95 %. The results of the research related to the value of the thermal humidity index (THI) showed a value of 30,75, and this value was included in the very uncomfortable category. This results indicated that the Kalijodo green open space does not function as a water catchment area and a source of thermal comfort.
