Abstrak :
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti bagaimana pengaruh profitabilitas dan financial leverage pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2006 ndash; 2015. Profitabilitas sebagai variable bebas dalam penelitian ini diukur dengan menggunakan Return On Equity ROE dan financial leverage juga sebagai variable bebas lainnya diukur dengan Total Debt to Total Assets DTA . Perataan laba sebagai variable bebas diukur dengan Net Income NI . Analisis model dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis regresi logistic. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas memiliki pengaruh yang positif namun tidak signifikan terhadap perataan laba, sedangkan financial leverage memiliki pengaruh yang negative dan signifikan terhadap perataan laba.

This study aims to examine the effect of profitability and financial leverage on income smoothing of the listed company in Indonesia Stock Exchange Period 2006 2015. Profitability as independent variable measured by Return On Equity ROE and financial leverage as another independent variable measured by Total Debt to Total Asset DTA . Income smoothing as dependent variable measured by Net Income NI . Method analyzes in this research were conducted with Regression Logistic Analyze. The results showed that profitability has a positive impact but not significant effect on income smoothing. Meanwhile, financial leverage has a negative and significant effect on income smoothing.
