"ABSTRAKProgram konversi minyak tanah tanah ke Liquefied Petroleum Gas LPG sejak 2007 telah berhasil dilakukan, indikasinya adalah tren penggunaan LPG semakin meningkat setiap tahunnya hingga saat ini. Dibalik kepopulerannya LPG terdapat kelemahannya antara lain sering tejadinya kasus ledakan tabung gas, kelangkaan pasokan, serta sebagian besar LPG di impor dari luar negri. Program Jaringan gas kota yang dicanangkan pemerintah dalam hal ini kementrian ESDM bertujuan salah satunya adalah dapat menggeser penggunaan konsumsi LPG. Sehingga bukan hanya pengurangan impor LPG tapi melainkan subsidi LPG juga dapat ditekan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis mengenai konsumsi bahan bakar untuk memanaskan air hingga mencapai suhu tertentu. Didapat bahwa bahan bakar yang paling cepat dan biaya paling murah adalah dengan menggunakan bahan bakar gas kota, yaitu 186 detik dengan biaya Rp. 68 . Selain itu dianalisis juga penerapan bahan bakar jika dimanfaatkan untuk daerah DKI Jakarta.
