Abstrak :
This thesis aims to portray students' attitude toward bahasa Indonesia and English. In addition it tries to find out their motivation in studying those two subjects. Therefore, some hypotheses were proposed. The objects of this research were senior high school students in Bandarlampung. 109 students were taken to be the samples. The data were collected through questionnaires which consist of 56 questions of attitude aspect and 43 questions for motivation aspect. Likert scale was used to measure those two aspects. The data collected were then analyzed by using product moment to see the correlation between attitude and motivation with student's achievement. Simple regression was applied to seek the influence of attitude and motivation toward bahasa Indonesia and English subjects. To sum tip toward bahasa Indonesia students have favourable feeling as well as toward English. I lowever, they have low motivation of learning toward those two languages. Language attitude as well as motivation of learning influence the achievement on bahasa Indonesia and English subjects. Abstrak :
Pada tahun 2013 DKI Jakarta mulai mengimplementasikan program bantuan dana pendidikan yang diberi nama Kartu Jakarta Pintar (KJP) dengan tujuan untuk dapat memberikan akses kepada penduduk Jakarta yang berasal dari keluarga tidak mampu untuk dapat menamatkan pendidikan paling tidak sampai sekolah menengah atas. Dengan menggunakan data sampel dari beberapa sekolah di Jakarta Timur, penelitian ini mencoba untuk melihat dampak dari penerapan program ini terhadap prestasi siswa. Untuk mengevaluasi dampak KJP, digunakan teknik evaluasi dampak yang bernama Propensity Score Matching (PSM). Teknik ini dapat digunakan untuk menghitung perbedaan kualitas siswa, yaitu dalam bentuk nilai UN, antara penerima KJP dan non-penerima KJP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program KJP memiliki dampak negatif pada prestasi siswa; temuan tersebut juga telah diuji menggunakan beberapa algoritma. Biarpun begitu, setelah dilakukan estimasi yang sama untuk penerima tahun 2014 dan 2015, dampak negatif tersebut berkurang secara bertahap menjadi nilai yang positif.

In 2013, Capital City of Indonesia, DKI Jakarta started implementing a cash transfer program known as Kartu Jakarta Pintar (KJP) with the aim to give access to Jakarta residents who are from poor family to afford education until at least high school grade. Using sample data from several schools in Jakarta Timur, this research tries to examine the impact of this program to student?s outcome. To evaluate the impact of KJP, this research uses an impact evaluation technique namely Propensity Score Matching (PSM). This technique can be used to estimate the difference in student?s performance, in this case national exam score, attributed to the KJP program. The finding suggests that KJP program has negative impact on student?s achievement; this finding is stable across several robustness checks. However, if we estimate the receiver of KJP program of 2014 and 2015, the negative impact gradually changes into positive value.
