Abstrak :
Semimetal topologi dan isolator topologi adalah kelas baru dari bahan kuantum. Semimetal Weyl telah menjadi topik yang menarik dan telah menarik perhatian luas karena struktur pita anomali dan sifat topologinya yang berbeda dari bahan lain. Kami menyelidiki Surface Plasmon Polariton (SPP) dari waveguide yang terbuat dari dua lapisan Weyl semimetals yang diapit oleh medium dielektrik dan dipengaruhi oleh electron scattering rate. Pada studi ini, dilakukan perhitungan untuk hubungan dispersi frekuensi dengan menerapkan persamaan maxwell untuk kontinuitas tangensial komponen medan listrik dan magnet sebagai boundary conditions dalam dua interface. Selanjutnya, menganalisis pengaruh laju hamburan elektron dan variasi ketebalan waveguide pada propagation length SPP. Peningkatan laju hamburan menyebabkan efek perluasan pada spektrum dispersi plasmon dan propagation length. Nilai ketebalan yang lebih besar cenderung membuat propagation length lebih besar. ......Topological semimetals and topological insulators are a new class of quantum materials. Weyl semimetals have become a topic of interest and have attracted widespread attention due to their anomalous band structure and topological properties that differ from other materials. We investigate the surface plasmon polariton (SPP) of a waveguide made of two layers of Weyl semimetals sandwiching a dielectric material incorporating the effect of electron scattering rate. In this study, the frequency dispersion relationship is calculated by applying Maxwell's equations for tangential continuity of electric and magnetic field components as boundary conditions in two interfaces.. Furthermore, it analyzes the effect of the electron scattering rate and thickness variation of the waveguide on the propagation length of SPP. Increasing the scattering rate causes a broadening effect on the plasmon dispersion spectrum and propagation length. The larger value of the thickness tends to make the propagation length larger.
