Ibu yang memiliki anak pertama belum memiliki pengalaman menyusui. Pemberian ASI dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, salah satunya yaitu persepsi. Peneliti ingin mengetahui pemberian ASI dan persepsi terhadap bentuk puting payudara pada ibu primipara. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu cross sectional dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Jumlah responden yang diambil sebanyak 48 responden di Kelurahan Kemiri Muka, Depok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 52,1% memiliki persepsi positif terhadap bentuk puting payudara dan sebanyak 85,4% ibu menyusui tidak eksklusif. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah mengidentifikasi hubungan persepsi bentuk puting payudara dengan pemberian ASI pada ibu primipara.

Abstract
Mothers who had their first child do not have the experience of breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is influenced by many factors, one of them is perception. The objective of this research is to find the perception of nipple shape and breastfeeding in primipara mothers. The design used in this research was cross sectional with purposive sample technique. The number of respondents is taken on as many as 48 respondents in the Kemiri Muka, Depok. The results showed 52.1% had positive perceptions of the breast and nipple shape while as much as 85.4% of mothers do not breastfeed exclusively. Recommendation for future research is to identify the relationship between the perception of nipple shape and breastfeeding in primipara mothers.
