PERTAMINA telah ditunjuk oleh Pemerintah sebagai satu-satunya badan usaha yang melaksanakan produksi pelumas guna memenuhi kebutuhan pelumas nasional melalui Keppres No. 18 tahun 1988. Untuk itu PERTAMINA telah membangun tiga Lube Oil Blending Plant di Jakarta, Cilacap dan Surabaya. Berbeda dengan tugas PERTAMINA untuk menyelenggarakan pelayanan bahan bakar minyak (BBM), yang bersifat nir laba, pelayanan pelumas bersifat menguntungkan. Sejalan dengan era persaingan bebas, monopoli tersebut akan segera berakhir dan PERTAMINA harus siap bersaing dengan pasar global. Oleh karenanya Manajemen telah memberikan perhatian kepada bisnis pelumas agar lebih profesional dan efisien. Sumber ketidakefisienan bisnis pelumas PERTAMINA salah satunya bersumber pada pengelolaan persediaan yang belum profesional. Hal ini tampak pada tingginya frekuensi stockout dan overstock persediaan yang berakibat tingginya biaya pengelolaan persediaan. Untuk mencari solusi ketidakefisienan, diperlukan evaluasi pada sistem perencanaan dan pengendalian material produksi. Sebagai obyek penelitian dipilih LOBP Cilacap. Perusahaan manufaktur saat ini menerapkan sistem Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) sebagai alat dalam mengelola persediaan material produksi. Berkaitan dengan permasalahan yang terjadi di LOBP Cilacap, akan dicoba diterapkan secara teoritis MRP II tersebut di LOBP serta dievaluasi pengaruhnya terhadap biaya pengelolaan persediaan pada periode waktu produksi yang sama.

PERTAMINA is the only company, which is assigned by the government to produce lube oil to fulfill national necessity of lube oil. The assignment is expressed by Keppres no. 18 / 1988. For that reason PERTAMINA built three Lube Oil Blending Plant in Jakarta, Cilacap and Surabaya. This assignment is different to the assignment in national fuel oil services, where in the fuel oil services PERTAMINA gets no profit, but lube oil business is profitable. Together with free market era, the protection for PERTAMINA will be ended soonest and PERTAMINA must be ready to compete with the global market. Facing this competition, PERTAMINA management has been giving more attention to this business to improve its professionalism and efficiency. One of this business inefficiency comes from the less of professionalism in managing the inventory. This is shown in the inaccurate of inventory, where the frequency of shortage and overstock is too high. This will be increasing the inventory cost or production cost at the end. To solve this problem, it is needed to evaluate the existing inventory planning and controlling system and comparing to the appropriate theory. Cilacap tube oil blending plant is chose as the object of this research. At this recent time, manufacturing company applies Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) as tool of inventory management Related with the problem facing in Cilacap blending plant, it will be tried to implement MRP Il theoretically. As the goals of this research, the implementation of MRP II will be compared to the existing inventory management and will be evaluated its influence.

PT. Tridi Oasis adalah perusahaan yang memproduksi serpihan plastik dari botol PET bekas. Perencanaan kebutuhan material sangat berpengaruh dalam jalannya suatu produksi. Sehingga dilakukan perhitungan Material Requirement Planning (MRP) dari setiap produk yang dihasilkan. Sangat penting bagi bisnis untuk merancang pesanan, agar pembelian lebih efektif. Pelaksanaan rencana tersebut di atas dapat mencegah perusahaan dari pemborosan bahan dan untuk melakukan produksi yang lebih efektif dan mengarah bisnis menjadi lebih menguntungkan. Persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi untuk melakukan perhitungan MRP adalah Master Production Schedule, Bills of Material, purchasing and production lead time, Gross Material Requirement, dan Net Material Requirements. Perhitungan akhir dari hasil MRP dijumlahkan dan dibandingkan dengan data pembelian aktual yang dilakukan perusahaan pada tahun 2019. Hal ini dilakukan untuk menunjukkan seberapa efisien perusahaan jika mengaplikasikan MRP sejak awal periode. Hasil perhitungan total menunjukkan bahwa jika perusahaan telah menerapkan MRP sejak awal maka perusahaan dapat menghemat harga sebesar Rp3.118.119.782, - dan melakukan penghematan sebesar 17%. ......PT. Tridi Oasis is a company that manufactures plastic flakes from used PET bottles. Planning of material requirements is very influential in the course of a production. Thus, a calculation of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) of each product produced. It is crucial to the business in order to design an effective purchasing order. The implementation of the MRP may prevent the company from wasting materials and to conduct a more effective production and lead a more profitable business. The requirements that need to be met in order to make a calculation of MRP, are the Master Production Schedule, Bills of Material, purchasing and production lead time, Gross Material Requirement, and net material requirements. The final calculation of the MRP requirement is summed and compared to the actual purchasing data that the company has performed in 2019. This is done to show how efficient the company could be when performing MRP from the beginning of the period. The result of the total calculation has shown that if the company has implemented MRP from the beginning, the company can save the amount of Rp3,118,119,782, - in price and make a saving of 17%.
