[Perencanaan yang dilakukan pada suatu kota memiliki tujuan tertentu, baik itu pengembangan maupun pelestarian. Kyoto merupakan kota di Jepang yang memiliki sejarah panjang sebagai ibukota Jepang kuno sehingga banyak terdapat peninggalan bersejarah yang harus dilestarikan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran mengenai pelestarian budaya yang dilakukan di Kyoto dalam pengembangan tata kotanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis. Pengembangan tata ruang Kota Kyoto yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah kota memang memiliki tujuan untuk melestarikan benda bersejarah yang ada di kotanya dan juga terus mengembangkan kotanya mengikuti zaman. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari pembagian zona dalam penataan kota tersebut. ......Every city’s urban planning are designed to fulfill its own purpose, whether it is for the development of the city or for preservation. The development of the urban planning in Kyoto is indeed not only to preserve the cultural heritage and traditional buildings in the city while continuiting to adopt to modernity. Abstrak :
Penataan kota menjadi aktivitas vital dimana pemetaan, data, dan informasi yang cepat serta akurat menjadi kunci-kunci penting dalam perencanaan serta pengawasan penataan kota sehingga dibutuhkan teknologi terkini sesuai dengan Program Kerja Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta 2013-2017 untuk Urusan Wajib, yaitu Program Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Tata Ruang. Penelitian ini ingin melihat implementasi Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) tersebut. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah implementasi SIG dalam penataan kota di DKI Jakarta masih bersifat parsial untuk kegiatan perencanaan tata ruang serta pengendalian tata ruang yang masih menghadapi keterbatasan yang dipengaruhi faktor-faktor organisasional. ......Structuring the city is a vital activity which is quick and accurate map, data, information becomes important keys in the planning and supervision of city planning that takes the latest technology in accordance with the Work Programme 2013-2017 Jakarta Government 's Mandatory Affairs, the Program Development System Spatial information. This study wanted to see the implementation of the Geographic Information System ( GIS ). Researcher used a qualitative approach with descriptive design. Results from this study is the implementation of GIS in city planning in Jakarta are still partial to the activities of spatial planning and the control layout which is still facing limitations of organizational factors.
