Abstrak :
Dewasa ini, banyak penelitian yang dilakukan tentang proses difusi, umumnya termotivasi oleh proses difusi pada minyak dan difusi antara cairan. Di samping itu, meningkatkan sensitifitas dan kinerja dari sistem pengukuran pembelokan sinar laser adalah sebuah topik yang menarik dalam penelitian bidang material dan instrumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, sistem pengukuran kurva pembelokan sinar laser dibangun untuk menentukan koefisien difusi antar cairan, dan bekerja dengan baik berdasarkan metode eksperimen Wiener. Larutan NaCl dan air dituangkan pada sel difusi dan setelah itu ditembakkan dengan sinar laser yang membentuk garis dengan sudut 45 terhadap vertikal pada layar. Sinar laser pada layar diambil gambarnya dengan kamera, lalu diproses. Pemrosesan gambar dan kalkulasi telah dilakukan untuk menentukan gradien indeks bias dan koefisien difusi. Koefisien difusi dari NaCl yang didapat pada penelitian sesuai dengan nilai koefisien pada literatur.

Nowadays, a lot of research have been done about the diffusion process, generally motivated by the diffusion process in oil and between liquids. In addition, improving the sensitivity and performance of laser beam deflection measurement system is an interesting topic in materials and instrumentation research. In this study, diffusion coefficient measurement system based on laser beam deflection constructed to determine diffusion coefficient of liquid liquid material, and worked well based on the Wiener experimental method. The Sodium chloride and water solution are poured into the diffusion cell and then illuminated by the laser beam that forms a line tilted 45 to the vertical. The reflection on screen captured by camera and processed. Image processing and calculation have been performed to determine the refractive index gradient and the diffusion coefficient. The diffusion coefficient of Sodium chloride is found in a good agreement with coefficient values specified in the literature.
