[Perencanaan yang dilakukan pada suatu kota memiliki tujuan tertentu, baik itu pengembangan maupun pelestarian. Kyoto merupakan kota di Jepang yang memiliki sejarah panjang sebagai ibukota Jepang kuno sehingga banyak terdapat peninggalan bersejarah yang harus dilestarikan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran mengenai pelestarian budaya yang dilakukan di Kyoto dalam pengembangan tata kotanya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif analisis. Pengembangan tata ruang Kota Kyoto yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah kota memang memiliki tujuan untuk melestarikan benda bersejarah yang ada di kotanya dan juga terus mengembangkan kotanya mengikuti zaman. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat dari pembagian zona dalam penataan kota tersebut. ......Every city’s urban planning are designed to fulfill its own purpose, whether it is for the development of the city or for preservation. The development of the urban planning in Kyoto is indeed not only to preserve the cultural heritage and traditional buildings in the city while continuiting to adopt to modernity. Abstrak :
Ayunan Desa Tenganan merupakan salah satu warisan budaya yang terdapat di Kecamatan Manggis, Kabupaten Karangasem, Provinsi Bali. Ayunan ini merupakan ayunan yang terbuat dari batang pohon cempaka dan memiliki bentuk yang unik seperti komidi putar serta disakralkan oleh masyarakat Desa Tenganan saat ritual Usaba Sambah. Ritual Usaba Sambah merupakan ritual rutin bagi para laki-laki dan perempuan yang belum menikah dan dilaksanakan setiap tahun pada bulan kelima sistem kalender Tenganan. Ayunan Desa Tenganan digunakan setiap tahunnya, namun tidak ada upaya perawatan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Desa Tenganan untuk melestarikan keberadaannya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dan fungsi ayunan Desa Tenganan serta upaya pelestarian yang dapat dilakukan untuk menjaga, melindungi, merawat ayunan ini agar tetap lestari keberadaannya berdasarkan Undang-Undang Cagar Budaya No.11 Tahun 2010. Tahap metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu observasi, pengolahan data, dan eksplanasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk ayunan yang seperti komidi putar memiliki nilai filosofis tersendiri sesuai dengan konsep kosmologi Hindu. Selain itu, fungsi ayunan ini bukan hanya menitikberatkan pada fungsi religinya tetapi juga fungsi sosial bagi masyarakat Desa Tenganan maupun wisatawan. ......Tenganan Village Swing is one of the cultural heritages found in Manggis District, Karangasem Regency, Bali Province. This swing is a swing made of cempaka tree trunks and has a unique shape like a merry-go-round and is sacred by the people of Tenganan Village during the Usaba Sambah ritual. The Usaba Sambah ritual is a routine ritual for unmarried men and women and is carried out every year in the fifth month of the Tenganan calendar system. Tenganan Village swings are used every year, but no maintenance efforts are made by the people of Tenganan Village to preserve their existence. Therefore, this study aims to determine the shape and function of the Tenganan Village swing and preservation efforts that can be carried out to maintain, protect, maintain this swing so that it remains sustainable based on the Cultural Heritage Law No.11 of 2010. The stages of the research methods used, namely observation, data processing, and explanatory. The results of this study show that the swing-like shape of the merry-go-round has its own philosophical value in accordance with the Hindu concept of cosmology. In addition, the function of this swing not only focuses on its religious function but also a social function for the people of Tenganan Village and tourists.

Tradisi adalah sebuah perilaku dalam masyarakat yang diwariskan dari generasi ke generasi. Tradisi kopi di Arab Saudi merupakan tradisi yang memiliki nilai dan adat yang masih dipertahankan. Tujuan tulisan ini adalah untuk mengenal lebih dalam mengenai tradisi kopi pada masyarakat di Arab Saudi yang berkaitan dengan perannya dalam kehidupan sosial dan pelestarian tradisi di Arab Saudi. Melalui metode menelaah dimensi sejarah, ritual minum kopi di Arab Saudi, serta nilai dan dampak yang ditimbulkan dari tradisi kopi di Arab Saudi terhadap kohesi sosial dan pelestarian nilai-nilai tradisional. Kohesi sosial secara sederhana dapat diterangkan sebagai perekat atau ikatan yang menjaga masyarakat tetap bersatu atau terintegrasi.  Rumusan masalah berisi tentang ritual, adat istiadat, dan praktik yang terkait dengan konsumsi kopi di masyarakat Arab dan menganalisis peran mereka dalam membina hubungan sosial dan melestarikan warisan budaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif agar dapat memberikan penjelasan lebih analisis dan bersifat subjektif yang menjadikan sebuah budaya atau fenomena sosial sebagai pemeran utama dari terbentuknya  perilaku sosial di masyarakat. Penulis menemukan bahwa tradisi kopi pada masyarakat Arab Saudi memiliki adat dan nilai yang masih diterapkan pada masa kini hingga memberikan dampak pada kehidupan sosial masyarakat, hal ini memperlihatkan bahwa tradisi kopi di Arab Saudi masih dilestarikan dan menjadi bagian integral dalam masyarakat. ......Tradition is a behavior in society that is passed down from generation to generation. The coffee tradition in Saudi Arabia is a tradition that has values and customs that are still maintained. The aim of this article is to get to know more about coffee traditions among people in Saudi Arabia which are related to its role in social life and the preservation of traditions in Saudi Arabia. Through a method of examining the historical dimensions, coffee drinking rituals in Saudi Arabia, as well as the values and impacts that coffee traditions in Saudi Arabia have on social cohesion and the preservation of traditional values. Social cohesion can simply be explained as the glue or bond that keeps society united or integrated. The problem formulation contains rituals, customs and practices related to coffee consumption in Arab society and analyzes their role in fostering social relations and preserving cultural heritage. The research uses qualitative methods in order to provide a more analytical and subjective explanation which makes a culture or social phenomenon the main actor in the formation of social behavior in society. The author found that the coffee tradition in Saudi Arabian society has customs and values that are still applied today and have an impact on the social life of the community. This shows that the coffee tradition in Saudi Arabia is still preserved and is an integral part of society.

ABSTRAK<>br> Skripsi ini membahas mengenai pelestarian warisan budaya dan sejarah melalui pariwisata dalam kasus Korean DMZ. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analitis. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana upaya pelestarian budaya dan sejarah melalui pariwisata di Korean DMZ. Korean DMZ memiliki kekayaan budaya dan sejarah berupa berbagai peninggalan perang serta lingkungan alam yang asri dengan beragam flora dan fauna serta menjadi destinasi wisata yang populer di kalangan wisatawan mancanegara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pariwisata merupakan motivasi dan sumber dana untuk mengembangkan daerah wisata yang bertujuan untuk melestarikan budaya, sejarah, dan alam.

ABSTRACT<>br> This thesis discusses the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage through tourism in case of the Korean DMZ. The method used is qualitative method with descriptive analytic approach. This study was conducted to determine how the cultural and historical preservation efforts through tourism in the Korean DMZ. Korean DMZ has a rich culture and history in the form of various war relics and beautiful natural environment with diverse flora and fauna as well as being a popular tourism destination among foreign tourists. These results indicate that tourism is the motivation and the resources to develop a tourist area that aims to preserve the culture, history, and nature.
