Abstrak :
The religious tolerance and harmony is something necessary to develop due to the need of global security and peace today. For this purpose, all religions have to be fairly ?tolerant? to others. Islam as a revealed religion, whatever its motive, is often perceived and accused as the religion of intolerance and violence. Some political and ideological questions, for example raised to this context: "Can Islamic faith tolerate other faiths, religions or groups??, What?s actually the Islamic teachings on tolerance and peace or harmony?? and the likes. This article attempts to unpack and elaborate of how far at Qur?an ?as the first and primary source of Islam? has a teaching on tolerance and peace. Using a hermeneutical approach the writer understands and analyses what is actually taught by al Qur'an on the concepts and practices of the tolerance. Based on the analysis, he highlights any conclusions of which al-Qur?an (Islam) teaches the followers to respect and implement the doctrine of tolerance and peace. The Muslim world is imperatively to tolerate others, or respect the differences for strengthening the world security and peaceful life amongst nationwide.

Great strategues are becoming the ideas in this aper are: first, the strategy of indsutrialization based on technology, economic efficiency, the consumption of natural resources is low relative to its population size, low enviromental pollution, and the allocation of human resources optimally. Second, a strategy for peace. Third, social harmonious society strategy. Backed by a culture of discipline led by great leader who focus on good framework State.

Tesis ini membahas pencitraan kelompok Rohingya melalui artikel berita pada laman media Reuters dan CNN Indonesia daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana citra kelompok Rohingya terbentuk melalui pemilihan kata, pemilihan informasi, dan penggunaan ilustrasi dalam bahasa Inggris sebagai teks sumber dan terjemahannya dalam bahasa Indonesia sebagai teks sasaran. Implikasi faktor ekstratekstual teks, intratekstual teks, dan penerapan strategi penerjemahan untuk mencapai skopos penerjemahan menyebabkan perbedaan antara teks sumber (TSu) dan teks sasaran (TSa). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan teori fungsional Nord dan model analisis wacana kritis dari Van Djik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CNN Indonesia menggunakan metode penerjemahan semantis dan komunikatif dalam menerjemahkan artikel berita dari Reuters. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat lima prosedur penerjemahan dalam teks berita yaitu reduksi, eksplitisasi, generalisasi, partikularisasi, dan modulasi. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa media seharusnya tidak hanya fokus untuk menghasilkan artikel berita terjemahan dalam waktu singkat, tetapi dapat ikut berpartisipasi dalam melindungi hak kelompok minoritas sesuai dengan prinsip dasar jurnalistik.

The focus of this study is the image of Rohingya people presented by Reuters and CNN Indonesia online news. The aim of this research is to study how Rohingya people are presented by word choices, information selection, and photos in English as the source text and their translations in Bahasa Indonesia as the target text. The implication of extratextual factors, intratextual factors and translation strategies to achieve the skopos of translation may cause differences in source and target texts. This research is qualitative descriptive and applied functional theory by Nord and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) by Van Djik. The result shows CNN Indonesia applies semantic and communicative methods to translate news articles from Reuters. The result of data analysis shows that there are five translation prosedures found in the text which are reduction, explicitation, generalization, particularization, and modulation. In conclusion, media should not only focus on translating online news articles instantly, but also participate to protect minority rights through its news articles according to core values of journalism.
