Abstrak :
Tegangan tembus merupakan suatu indikator penting dalam menentukan baik buruknya kualitas isolasi transformator. Pada Transformator terdapat bahan isolasi berupa isolasi minyak dan isolasi kertas. Karena faktor pentingnya fungsi isolasi pada transformator baik isolasi kertas maupun isolasi minyak maka dilakukanlah penelitian tentang kedua isolasi tersebut yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik tegangan tembus isolasi minyak terhadap perubahan temperatur minyak itu sendiri dan mengetahui karakteristik tegangan tembus isolasi kertas yang direndam kedalam minyak terhadap pengaruh kenaikan suhu dan ketebalan lapisan isolasi. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan terlihat bahwa tegangan tembus isolasi minyak murni memiliki pola dimana pada suhu tinggi, nilai tegangan tembusnya turun. Sedangkan tegangan tembus untuk isolasi kertas di rendam minyak memiliki pola kenaikan nilai tegangan tembus bila berada di suhu tinggi. Dari penelitian juga diperoleh bahwa semakin tebal lapisan isolasi kertas, maka tegangan tembus akan semakin tinggi.
Breakdown voltage is an important indicator in determining whether the poor quality of the isolation transformer. At the transformer insulating materials are in the form of insulating oil and paper insulation. Because the factors essential functions of insulation on both isolation transformer insulating paper and oil we conducted research on both the isolation that aims to determine the characteristics of insulating oil breakdown voltage to temperature changes it's own oil and know the characteristics of the breakdown voltage of insulation oil soaks into the paper on the effect of temperature rise and the thickness of the insulating layer. From the research that has been conducted shows that the breakdown voltage isolation of pure oil has a pattern in which at high temperatures , the value of breakdown voltage drops. While the breakdown voltage of insulating oil soaked paper has a pattern of increase in the value of breakdown voltage when at high temperature. From the study also found that the thicker the insulation layer of paper, then breakdown voltage will be higher.

Gardu Induk Tegangan Ekstra Tinggi (GITET) 500 kV KEMBANGAN merupakan Salah satu gardu induk di wilayah operasi PLN RJKB ? UPT Jakarta Barat. GITET 500 kV Kembangan terdiri dari 2 (dua) buah IBT 500/150 kV, 500 MVA dijadikan sebagai salah satu pemasok utama di wilayah Jakarta Barat diantaranya : menyuplai GI 150 kV Kembangan, New Senayan, Ciledug, Cikupa, Pasar kemis, Sepatan, Teluk naga, Jatake, Tangerang dan Maximangando. Pada tanggal 27 September 2009 pukul 08.06 WIB terjadi gangguan pada instalasi IBT-1 500/150 kV phasa T dengan indikasi relai : Differential (87T), REF (87NT), OCR moment (50), Bucholz, Jansen, Suddent Pressure, Oil Temperature dan Winding Temperature. Dari hasil perolehan data disimpulkan bahwa gangguan disebabkan oleh pemburukan kertas isolasi yang telah berlangsung lama, sehingga terjadi hubungan pendek (short circuit) pada internal transformator. Pada saat gangguan terjadi, beban yang disuplai oleh IBT-1 dan IBT-2 masih rendah (IBT-1: 108 MW = 27% dari beban nominal dan IBT-2: 113 MW=28.25% dari beban nominal) dan IBT-2 sebesar 113 MW, sehingga akibat kejadian ini tidak terjadi pemadaman, karena beban yang ada dapat ditanggung oleh IBT-2 yang tidak terganggu. ......Kembangan High Voltage sub station (GITET) 500 kV is One of the substations in the area of operations of PLN RJKB - UPT West Jakarta. 500 kV Kembangan Sub-station consists of two (two) IBT 500/150 kV, 500 MVA used as one of the main suppliers in the West Jakarta area including: supplying the 150 kV Sub station Kembangan, New Senayan, Ciledug, Cikupa Market Thursday, Sepatan, Gulf dragon, Jatake, Tangerang and Maximangando. On September 27, 2009, at 8:06 pm disruptions occurred at IBT-1 installation phase-T with an indication of relay: Differential (87T), REF (87NT), OCR Moment (50), Bucholz, Jansen, Suddent Pressure, Oil Temperature and winding temperature. From the results of data acquisition is concluded that the disruption caused by the deterioration of insulating paper that has lasted a long time, resulting in short circuit on the internal transformer. At the time disturbance occurs, the load supplied by the IBT-1 and IBT-2 was relatively low (IBT-1: 108 MW = 27% of the nominal load and IBT-2: 113 MW = 28,25% of the nominal load), so this incident does not occur due to extinction, because the load can be borne by the IBT-2 is not discupted.

This book focuses on oil-paper insulation included in power transformers, especially for EHV and UHV transformers. The importance on insulation ever increased due to a growing voltage rating of transformers. Within the last decades, although research on the transformer insulation and diagnosis methods has advanced a lot, the insulation of HV transformers remained more or less unchanged. The book is divided into five chapters; the first and second chapters explain the basics of oil insulation, while the third chapter focuses on paper insulation. The final two chapters deal with the methods and outcome of testing both techniques. The primary target audience for this book is graduate students and power system engineers.
