Abstrak :
Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi dampak yang ditimbulkan dari pembangunan dan pengoperasian jalur ganda kereta api lintas utara pulau Jawa terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan output ekonomi serta kesempatan kerja, untuk mendorong terjadinya pembangunan ekonomi. Dengan menggunakan data panel pada tingkat analisis desa sepanjang tahun 2011 – 2018 serta metode analisis Difference-in-Differences ditemukan bahwa pembangunan jalur ganda lintas utara belum menunjukkan adanya dampak yang signifikan pada lingkup analisis agregat. Meskipun demikian, pembangunan dan pengoperasian jalur ganda kereta api mampu meningkatkan aktivitas dan output ekonomi yang diukur dari peningkatan intensitas cahaya malam serta mampu meningkatkan kesempatan kerja pada desa yang terletak di Provinsi Jawa Timur, serta beberapa kabupaten/kota yang tersebar di Pulau Jawa. ......This study aims to estimate the impact of the construction and operation of the double-track railway network in North Java on increasing economic activity and output, also employment opportunities, to enhance economic development. Using panel data at the village level analysis during 2011-2018 and the Difference-in-Differences analysis method, The Results show that there is no significant impact of the construction and operating of the North Java double-track railway on the scope of the aggregate analysis. Nevertheless, with the heterogeneity and sub-sample analysis, it was found that there is an increase in output and economic activity as measured by the increase in the intensity of night light and increase in job opportunities for villages located in East Java Province, and several regencies/cities across Java Island.

Abstrak :
The objective of this paper is to identify the fundamental economic structure (FES)t developed by Jensen, West, and Hewings (1988), in some regional economies in Indonesia. It is found that fundamental economic structure also exists in Indonesian regional economies which cover secondary and tertiary sectors with th? highest significant cells. To some a lesser extent, fundamental economic structure also consists of &>me primary sectors. The accuracy of the model is acceptable using output multiplier and mean average deviation as indicators. The implication of this finding is to make easier for updating and constructing regional input-output tables by concentrating on the non-fundamental economic structure sectors. Therefore, this finding will contribute in reducing cost to construct or update regional input-output tables in the future.
