Abstrak :
Fungsi bahasa berkaitan dengan pesan dan makna kalimat yang dimaksud oleh partisipan. Makna tuturan juga diperoleh dengan mengidentifikasi implikatur nonkonvensional dengan menganalisis pelanggaran teori prinsip kerja sama Grice. Adapun pelanggaran ini dapat membedakan fungsi bahasa tertentu dari makna literal sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini akan dianalisis jenis fungsi bahasa dalam wawancara pada film dokumenter “Onze Jongens op Java” (2019). Setiap kalimat dari perspektif veteran Belanda memiliki pesan dan fungsinya masing-masing. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa implikatur berperan besar dalam mengidentifikasi fungsi bahasa. Fungsi referensial, yaitu fungsi untuk mendeskripsikan dan memberi informasi, mendominasi keseluruhan analisis. Fungsi referensial dan pengakuan veteran diperoleh dengan memahami implikatur nonkonvensional terlebih dahulu. ......In every conversation, each participant uses language function which related to the sentence’s intention, message, and implication. The meaning of a speech is obtained by identifying the conversational implicature of a sentence by analyzing the violations of Grice’s principle of cooperation theory. Thus, this descriptive qualitative research has analyzed kinds of language’s functions in an interview session on a documentary film called “Onze Jongens op Java” (2019). Each sentence from the Dutch’s veterans perspectives have their own messages and functions. This research has also found out that conversational implications take a huge part on identifying the functions of language. The referential function, which is the function to describe and to give information, dominates the entire analysis. The referential function and the veteran’s confessions are obtained by comprehending the nonconventional implicature first.
