Skripsi ini membahas inflection sebagai metode produksi ruang potensial dari proses modulasi fabrikasi digital. Walau berpotensi, ruang negatif sebagai hasil dari inflection saat ini hanya dianggap sebagai residu dari hasil pemotongan. Untuk itu, studi terhadap penggunaan ruang negatif sebagai inflection dari pembentukan ruang positifnya saya lakukan. Saya menemukan bahwa keterhubungan antara permukaan ruang positif dan negatif dari proses modulasi fabrikasi digital dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memproduksi ruang baik sebagai satu sistem ataupun dua objek yang berbeda. Walau saat ini efisiensi lebih diprioritaskan dalam proses modulasi fabrikasi digital, bukan tidak mungkin inflection dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai metode merancang yang tidak menghasilkan residu sama sekali. Inflection memberikan sebuah perspektif baru terhadap penggunaan material lembaran.

ABSTRACT
This paper presents inflection as a potential method for space production from digital fabrication modulation process. Despite this potential, negative space as a result of inflection is still merely considered as cutting leftovers. A study about applications of negative space as the inflection of positive space creation is therefore conducted. As a conclusion, I found that the relationship between positive and negative space surface from digital fabrication modulation process could be used to produce space either as a system or two different objects. Although the notion of efficiency still holds priority in digital fabrication modulation process these days, it?s possible that inflection can be used as a design method that might not produce leftover at all. Inflection gives a new perspective to the possible use of sheet materials
