Tesis ini membahas wujud dan peran kapital sosial dalam pengembangan credit union di kota Batam. Ide dasarnya adalah kondisi umat katolik di kota Batam yang terdampak krisis ekonomi tahun 2008 dan Keuskupan Pangkal Pinang menyadari bahwa kini pelayanan rohani perlu memperhatikan aspek ekonomi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Temuan penelitian menjelaskan bahwa rasa percaya yang dijaga dalam norma agama dan norma sosial akan menciptakan kapital sosial, dan turut membentuk kapital finansial dan kapital manusia yang bersinergi untuk kesejahteraan umat dan masyarakat ......This thesis focus on the nature and role of social capital in the development of credit unions in Batam city. The basic idea is the condition of Catholics affected by the economic crisis of 2008 and the Diocese of Pangkal Pinang realize that now the ministry needs to pay attention to the economic aspect. This study is a qualitative research with descriptive design. The findings study explain that trust is maintained in religious norms and social norms will create social capital, and helped shape the financial capital and human capital together for the welfare of the people and society.

Design Program of Microcredit Activity (Revolving Fund)For Students in Higher Education. Systems design of microcredit is generally conducted by financial institutions of which credit is mostly provided for private sectors, both large and small / medium Enterprises (SMEs). However, credit for new entrepreneurs, especially for college students, who want to start a business has never been provided formally due to numerous factors and among others is because of the absence of collateral. Meanwhile, in order to stimulate the eagerness of running a business, credit is inevitably essential. Hence, this study is proposing a comprehensive systems design to overcome any potential problems between new entreprenurs in getting credit from financial intitutions. This systems design handles a series of processes in granting credit which starts from screening and selecting business proposals. When the proposals are accepted and the credit is granted, then they will get processes of mentoring, training, exhibition and finally process of monitoring through financial reports. Also there will be internet facility of integrated microcredit information system to ease communication between the new entrepreneurs, mentors and financial institutions. This systems design can enhance success for the new entrepreneurs and diminish any potential risks of unable to repay the credit So when the business starts to grow, they can apply for bigger credit.

Setiap aktivitas bisnis tidak lepas dari risiko, tak terkecuali industri perbankan. Untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan, setiap bank memerlukan pengendalian internal. Tetapi apabila pengendalian internal dihadapkan pada keterbatasan-keterbatasan, Bank harus bijak untuk menentukan langkah yang harus diambil. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengendalian internal pada PT Bank XYZ. dengan tujuan meminimalkan risiko operasional yang dihadapi Bank. Tesis ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui proses observasi dan wawancara. Rekomendasi dibuat berdasarkan data lapangan yang dianalisis menggunakan landasan teori yang ada. Tesis ini menyarankan bahwa ada beberapa area pengendalian internal yang perlu ditingkatkan, seperti perbaikan pengendalian pencegahan, sosialisasi standar operasi prosedur, serta evaluasi pengendalian yang lebih periodik.
Every business activity is not risk-free, without exception for the banking industry. To achieve the goals set, each bank requires internal controls. But when internal control meets internal limitations, the Bank should be wise to determine what steps to take. The purpose of this study is to improve internal control in PT Bank XYZ. with regard to reduce the operational risk exposure. This thesis is a qualitative and descriptive research. Data were collected through observation and interview. Recommendations are made based on field data analysis using theoretical framework. This thesis suggests that there are several areas of internal controls that need to be improved, such as improve in preventive controls, socialization of standard operating procedures, and periodic evaluation of control itself.

Lembaga Keuangan Mikro (LKM) atau Micro Finance Institution (MFI) sebagai bahagian dari Lembaga Keuangan memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam pembangunan perekonomian negara, khususnya perekonomian masyarakat kecil dan menengah yang secara umum berada di wilayah pedesaan. Lembaga Keuangan Mikro melakukan kegiatan penyediaan jasa keuangan kepada pelaku usaha kecil dan mikro serta masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 1 tahun 2013 tentang Lembaga Keuangan Mikro dengan memberikan jasa pengembangan usaha dan pemberdayaan masyarakat, baik melalui pinjaman ataupun pembiayaan dalam usaha skala mikro kepada anggota dan masyarakat, pengelolaan simpanan, dan pemberian jasa konsultasi pengembangan usaha yang tidak semata–mata mencari keuntungan. Oleh sebab itu Lembaga Keuangan Mikro haruslah dikelola dengan baik berdasarkan prinsip kehati-hatian dan Good Coorporate Governance. Dengan demikian diperlukan Lembaga Pengawas, yakni Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) yang dibentuk berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 21 Tahun 2011 tentang Otoritas Jasa Keuangan sebagai lembaga yang mengeluarkan pengaturan dan pengawasan terhadap sektor jasa keuangan. Otoritas Jasa Keuangan memiliki tanggung jawab untuk memastikan pengelolaan dan kegiatan usaha LKM, yang mana salah satu bahagiannya adalah Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR), agar berjalan sesuai aturan yang berlaku. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai peran Otoritas Jasa Keuangan dalam mengawasi LKM di Indonesia dan implementasi pengawasan oleh Otoritas Jasa Keuangan terhadap Lembaga Keuangan Mikro. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian hukum yuridis normatif dengan tipe deskriptif analitis. Pendekatan masalah yang digunakan adalah normatif-terapan. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang terdiri dari bahan hukum primer, bahan hukum sekunder serta bahan hukum tersier, kemudian analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan OJK dalam mengawasi LKM melakukan fungsi pengawasan dengan berkordinasi kepada Kementerian Koperasi dan UMKM dan kepada Kementerian dalam Negeri sebagaimana diatur dalam Pasal 28 Undang-Undang Nomor 1 tahun 2013 tentang Lembaga Keuangan Mikro. Sedangkan berdasarkan ketentuan Pasal 2 ayat (2) dan (3) Peraturan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan Nomor 14/POJK.05/2014 tentang Pembinaan dan Pengawasan Lembaga Keuangan Mikro, pembinaan dan pengawasan LKM didelegasikan oleh OJK kepada pemerintah kabupaten/kota dan apabila pemerintah kabupaten/kota belum siap, Otoritas Jasa Keuangan dapat mendelegasikan pembinaan dan pengawasan LKM kepada pihak lain yang ditunjuk. Disisi lain terhadap BPR, OJK melakukan penyehatan terhadap BPR bermasalah melalui mekanisme Bail in berdasarkan amanat Undang-undang Nomor 9 Tahun 2016 tentang Pencegahan dan Penanganan Krisis Sistem Keuangan. ......Microfinance Institutions (MFI) as part of Financial Institutions have a very important role in the development of the country's economy, especially the economy of small and medium-sized communities who are generally located in rural areas. Microfinance Institutions carry out activities of providing financial services to small and micro business actors as well as low-income communities based on Law Number 1 of 2013 concerning Microfinance Institutions by providing business development services and community empowerment, both through loans and micro-scale financing. business to members. and the community, manage deposits, and provide consulting services for business development that are not solely for profit. Therefore, Microfinance Institutions must be managed properly based on the principles of prudence and Good Corporate Governance. Therefore, a supervisory agency is needed, namely the Financial Services Authority (OJK) which was established based on Law Number 21 of 2011 concerning the Financial Services Authority as the institution that issues regulation and supervision of the financial services sector. The Financial Services Authority has the responsibility to ensure the management and business activities of MFI, The Financial Services Authority has the responsibility to ensure that the management and business activities of MFI, including Rural Bank (BPR), run according to applicable regulations. The formulation of the problem in this study is about the role of OJK in monitoring MFI in Indonesia and implementation of OJK supervision on Microfinance Institutions. This research is a normative juridical law research with analytical descriptive research type. The problem approach used is normative application. The data used is secondary data consisting of primary legal materials, secondary legal materials and tertiary legal materials, then the data analysis is carried out qualitatively. The results of the study show that OJK in supervising MFI performs a supervisory function in coordination with the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSME and the Ministry of Home Affairs as stipulated in Article 28 of Law Number 1 of 2013 concerning Microfinance Institutions. Meanwhile, based on the provisions of Article 2 paragraph (2) and (3) of the Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 14/POJK.05/2014 concerning the Guidance and Supervision of Microfinance Institutions, the guidance and supervision of MFI is delegated by the OJK to the district/city government and if the district/city government the city is not ready. The Financial Services Authority may delegate the guidance and supervision of MFI to other appointed parties. On the other hand, for BPR, OJK has restructured problematic BPR through the Bail-in mechanism based on the mandate of Law Number 9 of 2016 concerning Prevention and Handling of Financial System Crisis.
