"Tesis ini membahas tentang oligarki di Berita Satu TV dan CNN Indonesia TV yang memengaruhi pemberitaan UU Cipta Kerja. Penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan lewat wawancara mendalam dan analisis isi berita ini menggunakan teori oligarki dari Jefffrey Winters dan Mietzner. Hasilnya, oligark Berita Satu TV yang notabene masuk dalam Satuan Tugas UU Cipta Kerja, sengaja masuk ke ruang redaksi, menyetir arah pemberitaan, dan memberlakukan sistem hukuman bagi jurnalis yang melanggar. Oligark itu terbukti memanfaatkan sumber daya yang mereka punya untuk mengontrol pemberitaan demi mempertahankan kekayaan atau kekuasaan mereka. Namun, teori oligarki Winters dan Mietzner tidak berlaku untuk oligark CNN Indonesia TV di mana sang pemodal memilih untuk mengambil jarak dari ruang redaksi demi independensi medianya.

This thesis discusses the oligarchy on Berita Satu TV and CNN Indonesia TV which influences the coverage of the Omnibus Law on Job Creation. This qualitative research was conducted through in-depth interviews and news content analysis using the oligarchic theory of Jefffrey Winters and Mietzner. As a result, Berita Satu TV oligarch, who incidentally was included in the Task Force on the Omnibus Law on Job Creation, deliberately entered the newsroom, steered the direction of the news, and imposed a punishment system for journalists who violated the law. The oligarchs are proven to use the resources they have to control the news in order to maintain their wealth or power. However, this oligarchic theory does not apply to CNN Indonesia TV oligarchs where the financier chooses to distance himself from the newsroom for the sake of media independence."
