Abstrak :
For more than a century, the study of various types of inequalities has been the focus of great attention by many researchers, interested both in the theory and its applications. In particular, there exists a very rich literature related to the well known Cebysev, Gruss, Trapezoid, Ostrowski, Hadamard and Jensen type inequalities. The present monograph is an attempt to organize recent progress related to the above inequalities, which we hope will widen the scope of their applications.

Abstrak :
This textbook is perfect for a math course for non-math majors, with the goal of encouraging effective analytical thinking and exposing students to elegant mathematical ideas. It includes many topics commonly found in sampler courses, like Platonic solids, Euler’s formula, irrational numbers, countable sets, permutations, and a proof of the pythagorean theorem. All of these topics serve a single compelling goal, understanding the mathematical patterns underlying the symmetry that we observe in the physical world around us.

Abstrak :
This book deals with nonsmooth structures arising within the optimization setting. It considers four optimization problems, namely, mathematical programs with complementarity constraints, general semi-infinite programming problems, mathematical programs with vanishing constraints and bilevel optimization. The author uses the topological approach and topological invariants of corresponding feasible sets are investigated. Moreover, the critical point theory in the sense of Morse is presented and parametric and stability issues are considered. The material progresses systematically and establishes a comprehensive theory for a rather broad class of optimization problems tailored to their particular type of nonsmoothness.

Abstrak :
This book is the third installment in a series of four self-contained English translations of the classic and definitive treatment. Key features, complete and unabridged presentation with recent advances and additional notes, annotations by the translators provide insights into the nature of science and mathematics in the late 19th century, each volume interweaves theory and applications.
The theory of the top was originally presented by Felix Klein as an 1895 lecture at Göttingen University that was broadened in scope and clarified as a result of collaboration with Arnold Sommerfeld. Graduate students and researchers interested in theoretical and applied mechanics will find this series of books a thorough and insightful account. Other volumes in the series include the introduction to the kinematics and kinetics of the top, development of a theory of the heavy symmetric top, and technical applications of the theory of the top.

Abstrak :
Sheaves of algebras over boolean spaces comprehensively covers sheaf theory as applied to universal algebra. The text presents intuitive ideas from topology such as the notion of metric space and the concept of central idempotent from ring theory. These lead to the abstract notions of complex and factor element, respectively. Factor elements are defined by identities, discovered for shells for the first time, explaining why central elements in rings and lattices have their particular form. Categorical formulations of the many representations by sheaves begin with adjunctions and move to equivalences as the book progresses, generalizing stone’s theorem for boolean algebras.

Abstrak :
This volume provides the first comprehensive study of the pullback equation for differential forms. The text recounts various properties of exterior and differential forms, and presents the classical Hodge-Morrey decomposition. The work begins by recounting various properties of exterior forms and differential forms that prove useful throughout the book. From there it goes on to present the classical Hodge–Morrey decomposition and to give several versions of the Poincaré lemma. The core of the book discusses the case k = n, and then the case 1≤ k ≤ n–1 with special attention on the case k = 2, which is fundamental in symplectic geometry. Special emphasis is given to optimal regularity, global results and boundary data. The last part of the work discusses Hölder spaces in detail.

Abstrak :
The results presented in this book are a product of research conducted by the author independently and in collaboration with other researchers in the field. In this light, this work encompasses the most recent collection of various concepts of regularity and nonsmooth analysis into one monograph. The first part of the book attempts to present an accessible and thorough introduction to nonsmooth analysis theory. Main concepts and some useful results are stated and illustrated through examples and exercises. The second part gathers the most prominent and recent results of various regularity concepts of sets, functions, and set-valued mappings in nonsmooth analysis. The third and final section contains six different application, with comments in relation to the existing literature.

Abstrak :
This book presents the solution of a long-standing problem concerning the stable module category (of not necessarily finite dimensional representations) of a finite group. The proof draws on commutative algebra, cohomology of groups and stable homotopy theory. The unifying theme is a notion of support which provides a geometric approach for studying various algebraic structures.
