ABSTRAK
Cellular manufacturing systems have gained significant research attention in recent years because of their inherent ability to spur productivity. Classical cellular manufacturing literate has concerned itself with the problem of identifying appropriate machine-part groups. This paper proposes a mixed-integer nonlinear programming formulation model for the machine layout problem in cellular manufacturing. The objective of the formulation is to minimize a surrogate-weighted cost of intercellular material movement under capacity and part requirement constraints. A heuristic solution method is proposed, and a numerical example is presented to illustrate the model and demonstrate the solution improvement.

Abstrak :
This book discusses the latest advances in manufacturing and process control, with a special emphasis on digital manufacturing and intelligent technologies for manufacturing and industrial processes control. The human aspect of the developed technologies and products, their interaction with the users, as well as sustainability issues, are covered in detail. Development of new products using 3D printers, rapid prototyping systems, remote fabrication, and other advanced techniques, is described in detail, highlighting the state-of-the-art and current challenges. Other key topics include digital modeling systems and additive manufacturing, together with their applications in a number of fields, e.g in bioengineering/biomedicine, in the aerospace, maritime and military fields or for archeological and historical purposes, such as preserving structures, but not limited to this. ABSTRAK
Dengan meningkatnya jumlah persaingan, industri manufaktur dituntut lebih efisien dan fleksibel agar dapat bertahan dengan persaingan pasar yang ada, salah satu solusi peningkatan fleksibilitas dan efisiensi produksi yaitu dengan penerapan tata letak berdasar selulaar manufaktur. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perancangan usulan tata letak baru berdasar manufaktur seluler guna mengurangi material handling, penelitian ini membandingkan hasil pengelompokan sel manufaktur dari 3 metode pengelompokan yang mana metode dengan performa paling baik akan dijadikan dasar untuk merancang tataletak usulan. Dari hasil perbandingan metode didapat metode Mod-SLC dan EDM-SLC memiliki hasil paling baik dengan hasil sel manufaktur yang sama, hasil usulan tataletak baru berdasarkan manufaktur seluler didapat penurunan material handling hingga 21,1 dari tataletak awal.
ABSTRACT<>br> With the increasing number of competition, manufacturing industri is demanded more efficient and flexible to survive with the existing market competition, one of the solutions to increase the flexibility and efficiency of production is by the application of cellular manufacturing layout. This research propose new layout based on cellular manufacturing systems to reduce material handling, this study compares the results of the grouping of manufacturing cells from 3 grouping methods in which the best method will be used for designing the new layout. From the comparison of the method, Mod SLC and EDM SLC method has the best results with the same manufacturing cell results, the proposed layout based on cellular manufacturing shows a decrease of material handling up to 21,1 .
