Kekerasan berbasis gender terjadi secara global. Di Indonesia, sikap seksis yang ambivalen terhadap perempuan banyak membuat perempuan mengalami kekerasan namun disaat yang sama juga mengalami perlakuan spesial, seperti gerbong kereta khusus perempuan. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara sikap tersebut dengan tipe kepribadian narcissism, machiavellianism, dan psychopathy. Hal yang masih belum jelas adalah bagaimana peran ketiga tipe kepribadian tersebut sebagai dark triad personality dalam memprediksi sikap ambivalent sexism seorang laki-laki. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada laki-laki di Indonesia. Dengan jumlah sampel 445, penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa masing-masing komponen dark triad berkorelasi dengan ambivalent sexism dan masing-masing dimensinya. Secara umum, dark triad personality ditermukan mampu secara signifikan memprediksi ambivalent sexism (F (3,444) = .858, R2 = .736, p < .05). Lebih lanjut, penelitian berhasil menemukan bahwa machiavellianism menjadi faktor kunci dalam memprediksi ambivalent sexism (β = .61 F (3,444) = .858, R2 = .736, p < .05) dan psychopathy menjadi prediktor terlemah dalam memprediksi benevolent sexism. Penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk menjadi landasan dalam upaya mengatahui alasan dibalik sikap seksis, hubungannya dengan dark triad personality, serta mengintervensi dan mengurangi kesenjangan yang disebabkan oleh sikap seksis. ......Gender-based violence happens globally. In Indonesia ambivalent sexism towards women cause a lot of women to experience violence and discrimination but at the same time they are somehow given a special treatment, such as women-only carriages on trains. Earlier researches have shown that there is a relationship between ambivalent sexism and some personality traits such as narcissism, machiavellianism, and psychopaty. There has been various research in attempt to find what cause a person to have an ambivalent sexism. The current study investigates the relationship between the Dark Triad personality traits and ambivalent sexism among Indonesian male. With a sample of 445, this research shows how each of dark triad components can correlate to ambivalent sexism and each of its dimensions. Overall, Dark Triad personality traits was found to be significant in predicting ambivalent sexism (F (3,444) = .858, R2 = .736, p < .05). Furthermore, this research had come to a conclusion that machiavellianism was found to have the strongest influence in predicting ambivalent sexism (β = .61 F (3,444) = .858, R2 = .736, p < .05) and psychopathy was found to be the weakest in prediting benevolent sexism (β = .06 F (3,444) = .858, R2 = .736, p < .05). This research was done so that it can be used to be one of the foundation in our attempt to figure out the cause of sexism, how it is related to dark triad personality, and also perhaps to intervene and reduce the gender gap caused by sexism.

Industri manufaktur merupakan industri padat karya yang membutuhkan tenaga kerja besar. Industri ini membutuhkan pekerja yang memiliki perilaku kewargaan-organisasi, seperti mampu bekerja secara ekstra untuk mencapai produktivitas. Untuk dapat membangun perilaku kewargaan-organisasi dapat ditentukan dari beberapa faktor seperti kepemimpinan, & kepribadian yang dimiliki oleh para pekerja. Dari segi kepribadian, para pekerja sebaiknya dapat ramah dan mampu mengontrol emosinya. Pekerja yang tidak ramah dan memiliki emosi negatif dapat masuk dalam kategori machiavellianism. Disisi lain dalam faktor kepemimpinan, pekerja membutuhkan sosok seorang yang rendah hati, adil, bijaksana, dapat memotivasi mereka dalam bekerja, dapat memimpin mereka tanpa memikirkan kekuasaan, hingga dapat melayani kebutuhan para pekerja. Sosok ini dikenal sebagai kepemimpinan melayani. Penelitian ini akan meneliti peran kepemimpinan melayani sebagai moderasi dalam hubungan negatif antara machiavellianism dan perilaku kewargaan-organisasi pada pekerja industri manufaktur. Sebanyak 175 partisipan direkrut secara online untuk mengikuti penelitian ini. Adapun desain penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori non-eksperimen dan sebuah studi korelasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yakni convenience sampling. Untuk mengukur machiavellianism digunakan skala Machiavellianism Personality Scale, kemudian untuk mengukur perilaku kewargaan-organisasi digunakan skala Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale, dan untuk mengukur kepemimpinan melayani digunakan skala Servant Leadership Scale. Data diolah menggunakan software SPSS versi 25 dan dianalisis dengan analisis moderasi process macro hayes model 1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, kepemimpinan melayani tidak dapat memoderasi hubungan negatif antara machiavellianism dan perilaku kewargaan-organisasi pada pekerja industri manufaktur. Apabila pekerja mempersepsikan dirinya untuk memiliki seorang pemimpin yang melayani, maka hal tersebut tidak dapat memiliki efek moderasi terhadap machiavellianism dan perilaku kewargaan-organisasi (p = 0.38 > -0.05). ......The manufacturing industry is a labor-intensive sector that requires a substantial workforce. This industry demands workers with citizenship-organization behavior, such as the ability to work extra to achieve productivity. The development of citizenship-organization behavior can be influenced by factors such as leadership and the personalities of the workers. Regarding personality, workers should be friendly and capable of controlling their emotions. Unfriendly and negatively emotional workers may fall into the category of Machiavellianism. On the other hand, concerning leadership, workers require someone who is humble, fair, wise, and capable of motivating them at work, leading without a focus on power, and catering to the needs of the workers. This figure is known as servant leadership. This study aims to examine the role of servant leadership as a moderator in the negative relationship between Machiavellianism and citizenship-organization behavior among manufacturing industry workers. A total of 175 participants were recruited online for this study. The research design falls into the non-experimental category and is a correlational study. The sampling technique used is convenience sampling. Machiavellianism was measured using the Machiavellianism Personality Scale, citizenship-organization behavior was measured using the Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale, and servant leadership was measured using the Servant Leadership Scale. Data were processed using SPSS version 25 software and analyzed with moderation analysis using the Hayes Process Macro Model 1. The study results indicate that servant leadership cannot moderate the negative relationship between Machiavellianism and citizenship-organization behavior in manufacturing industry workers. When workers perceive themselves to have a servant leader, it does not have a moderating effect on Machiavellianism and citizenship-organization behavior (p = 0.38 > -0.05).

Skripsi ini membahas bagaimana gagasan Machiavellianisme direpresentasikan oleh tokoh Oda Nobunaga di dalam novel Shinsho Taikoki. Dengan menggunakan teori politik yang ditulis oleh Niccolo Machiavelli di dalam bukunya “Il Principe”, penulis mengkaji novel Shinsho Taikoki dengan pendekatan intrinsik, yakni analisis tokoh. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa Nobunaga memiliki gambaran yang mencerminkan penguasa ideal menurut Machiavelli. Penguasa ideal menurut Machiavelli adalah penguasa militer yang mampu berjuang untuk kekuasaan dengan cara baik maupun cara kejam.
This thesis explain how the concept of Machiavellianism is represented by character Oda Nobunaga in Shinsho Taikoki. By using political theory that were written by Niccolo Machiavelli in his book "Il Principe", writer examined Shinsho Taikoki with intrinsic approach, the analysis of figure. Analysis shows that Nobunaga has representations that reflects the ideal ruler according to Machiavelli. Machiavelli's ideal ruler is military ruler who able to struggling with good way and also cruelty.

This qualitative study specifies some spin doctor's strategies in 2009 Indonesian general election, that in many forms mislead voters from the truths and realities. It reviewed several theses and articles which focus on strategies and phenomenon uproar in the elections, such as creating pseudoo images and events, or deceptive political advertising. 'Theory-based generalization' approach was used in this research, as well as secondary qualitative analyses. If the Machiavellian's view of political communication keeps practicing, it argues that Indonesian people will be more apathy to give its political participation and thus endanger democracy. Finally, it proposes political parties and presidential candidates to practice more ethical ways and smarter strategy to lure its constituences, rather than using 'machiavelli-way'

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mamahami bagaimana Impression Managament pada interview dapat terjadi yang akan membantu perusahaan di masa sekarang dan masa depan dengan mendapatkan pekerja yang tepat. Hal itu Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara Machiavellianism dan Impression Management dalam ruang lingkup wawancara. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir, fresh graduate akuntansi, bekerja kurang dari setahun dan bekerja lebih dari setahun dengan jumlah 250 responden dan dianalisis menggunakan SEM LISREL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Social Astuteness dan Networking Ability menjadi mediasi penuh atas hubungan Machiavellianism dan Impression Management. Implikasi manajerial akan dijelaskan dengan metode deteksi penipuan. ......This study aims to understand how Impression Management in interviews can occur which will help companies in the present and future by getting the right workers. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Machiavellianism and Impression Management in the scope of the interview. The sample used in this study were final year students, fresh graduate accounting, working less than a year and working more than a year with a total of 250 respondents and analyzed using SEM LISREL. The results showed that Social Astuteness and Networking Ability became a full mediation on the relationship between Machiavellianism and Impression Management. The managerial implications will be explained by the deception detection method.
