"Penelitian ini membahas tentang metafora konseptual yang terdapat dalam lagu tema untuk original soundtrack anime Attack on Titan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memaparkan jenis-jenis metafora konseptual yang ditemukan dalam tujuh lagu tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan data berupa lirik-lirik dari lagu “紅蓮の弓矢 (Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen)”, “自由の翼 (Die Flügel der Freiheit)”, “at'aek ON taitn (Attack on Titan)”, “Bauklötze”, “Vogel im Käfig”, “YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T”, “So ist es immer”. Teori yang digunakan sebagai batasan penelitian adalah teori metafora konseptual oleh Lakoff dan Johnson (2003). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada 17 data yang mengandung metafora konseptual yang dibagi menjadi delapan konsep besar, yaitu kehidupan, harapan, surga, kematian, takdir, kebencian, kemenangan dan kebebasan. Mereka kemudian dibagi lagi ke dalam 14 pemetaan. Penulis menemukan jumlah yang sama antara metafora struktural-ontologis dan struktural saja. Sebanyak 7 data (50%) berbentuk struktural saja dan sebanyak 7 data (50%) berbentuk struktural dan ontologis. Semua data yang ditemukan tidak ada yang memiliki unsur spasial, sehingga tidak ada metafora konseptual berbentuk orientasional.

This study discusses about conceptual metaphors that exist in the theme song for original soundtrack of anime Attack on Titan. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of conceptual metaphor that found in those seven songs. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data of the lyrics of the songs “紅蓮の弓矢 (Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen)”, “自由の翼 (Die Flügel der Freiheit)”, “at'aek ON taitn (Attack on Titan)”, “Bauklötze”, “Vogel im Käfig”, “YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T”, “So ist es immer”. The theory used as a limitation of the research is conceptual metaphor theory by Lakoff dan Johnson (2003). The results showed that there were 17 data containing conceptual metaphors which were divided into eight major concepts, namely the concepts of life, hope, heaven, death, destiny, hatred, victory and freedom. They were then divided again into 14 mappings. The author finds the equal number of structural-ontological metaphors as well as the structural only. None of the datas found has spatial element, so there is no conceptual metaphor in the form of orientational."
