[This volume explores these issues with special reference to Italy. Italy is characterized by very low participation rates (particularly women’s), a high degree of fragmentation of labour contracts and a very intense non-standard work diffusion that make this context a particularly interesting case for analysis. New elements of discussion are provided with reference to the interaction of non-standard work, employment probability and living conditions. Interesting insights on the impact of non-standard work on the transition to stable employment and workers’ careers emerge, suggesting a possible failure of companies’ internal systems of work evaluation. The effects on labour productivity and on companies’ performance are analysed. , This volume explores these issues with special reference to Italy.
The focus of this study aims to determine the development of the structure conduct and performance of large and medium industry are employment in Indonesia. This study used quantitative descriptive methods and econometric of panel data. Analysis of the structure conduct and performance of large and medium industry were analyzed by profit approach with econometric model of the panel which shows that the concentration ratio of the four biggest companies CR4 and input cost advetise significantly influence the profit. Industry performance is also analyzed with panel data showing that profit real wages of labor technology and output have a significant effect on employment in Indonesia. The coefficient of profit is 0 05 technology is 0 04 and output is 0 09 which indicate if increase 1 percent of the portion profit technology or output will increase the employment rate while the coefficient of wages 0 27 indicate increase 1 million of the portion real wages the employment rate will reduce.

......Disability wage gaps are a persisting issue in the face of wage equity. This research introduces commuting time as a potential factor influencing these wage gaps. While longer commutes are generally associated with higher wages, workers with disabilities in Indonesia typically have shorter commutes, which might partly explain persistent wage disparities. Employing ordinary least squares (OLS) regression and SUEST analysis, this study finds that although workers with disabilities face a higher wage gap to workers without disabilities when having longer commutes, commuting time does not contribute to this widening wage gap. However, the existence of such a wage gap might indirectly occur due to uneven wage premiums between disabled and non-disabled workers, in addition to possible other unobserved factors. The study underscores the need for policies that address commuting challenges for workers with disabilities, suggesting flexible working arrangements to mitigate wage disparities. Further research is essential to explore additional supportive measures and accommodations to develop comprehensive solutions.

"We all know that people--not cash, buildings, or equipment--are the lifeblood of any business enterprise. Yet, astonishingly, there has never been a reliable way to quantify the contribution of human capital to corporate profit...until now.
