Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kontak kulit ke kulit terhadap suhu tubuh ayah dan BBLR serta menggali pengalaman ayah. Desain penelitian experiment dengan repeated measured dan fenomenologi. Jumlah responden 15 dan 7 partisipan. Hasil penelitian ada pengaruh PMK dengan suhu tubuh sebelum-selama dan sebelum-sesudah, sedangkan suhu tubuh selama-sesudah PMK tidak berpengaruh. Hasil wawancara mendalam diidentifikasi tema: respon sebelum PMK, persepsi ayah terhadap PMK dan perawat, manfaat selama PMK bagi bayi dan ayah, respon psikologis setelah PMK dan harapan serta saran terhadap PMK. Perlunya pelatihan PMK bagi perawat, optimalisasi media video, penyediaan ruangan PMK dan penerapan PMK bagi BBLR.

Abstract
The aims of study are to determine the influence of skin to skin contact between father's and his infant with low birth weight on father's and infant's body temperature as well as to explore the father's experience related to.skin to skin contact with his infant. This study applies quasi experiment design with repeated measurement and phenomenological design. The number of respondents are 15 fathers and his infants and 7 participants. The result of temperature measurement shows that Kangaroo Daddy Care (KDC). influences the temperature of father and infant before-during and before-after KDC. However KDC does not influence the infant's and father body temperature during and after it. Themes emerge from interviews are the response before KDC, the perception of father toward KDC and the nurse. The psychological response toward KDC and the hopes and suggestions about KDC. Other themes are KDC trained needed for nurses, the optimum usage of video, availability room for KDC and application KDC for LBW (Low Birthweight).
