Dewasa ini kinerja para aparatur penyelenggara pelayanan publik khususnya dalam hal ini kepolisian makin banyak disorot dan menjadi perhatian publik akibat kinerjanya yang buruk. Sebagai lembaga pengawas eksternal Polri, Komisi Kepolisian Nasional (Kompolnas) turut berkewajiban untuk mengawasi dan meningkatkan kinerja dan integritas setiap anggota Polri, sehingga masyarakat sebagai pihak yang berhak mendapatkan pelayanan dari negara sebagaimana yang diamanatkan oleh undang-undang dapat terpuaskan demi terciptanya kesejahteraan bagi seluruh warga negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran Kompolnas dalam melaksanakan pengawasan terhadap kinerja kepolisian dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat dan bagaimana hubungan Kompolnas dengan Polri.

Recently the performance of the officials public service particularly in terms of the police more highlighted word and public concern due to decide who bad .As monitors external police , the national police commission ( kompolnas ) also an obligation to improved and to control performance and integrity of the any member of police in carrying out their duties in serving the public , so that the community as the party to be eligible to receive the ministry of the state as mandated by the act of is satisfied in order to create welfare for all citizens .Research aims to understand the role of kompolnas in carry out surveillance of the performance of police during of providing services to the community and what is the relationship kompolnas with police.
