"Language Loyalty Among Arab Descendants: A Case Study in Kecamatan Pasar Kliwon Rota Nadia SurakartaThis study discusses the language loyalty among Arab descendants on the Arabic language. It aimed to describe the level of language loyalty among them on the language. Besides, this study also describes their linguistic use and linguistic choice in general in relation to their competence on three languages. Those are Arabic, Indonesian, and Javanese. In order to handle such problems, this study refers to Fishman's theory (1986) about language loyalty and other related theories, such as bilingualism, language choice, and language attitude theories. Three techniques have been used to collect the data. Those are interview, observation, and questionnaires. In the data collection, 120 people were involved. They were broken down into three groups. The first group consisted of forty people who were fifty-one or more years of age. The second group consisted of forty people who were twenty-six to fifty years of age. The third group consisted of forty people who were less than twenty-six years of age. This study concludes that practically Arab descendants show low loyalty to the Arabic language. For religious purposes, however, they show a high loyalty on the language."

"ABSTRAK Saat ini startup memegang peranan penting bagi ekonomi dunia. Namun penelitian mengenai startup dalam perspektif Islam masih jarang. Karena itu penelitian meneliti startup dari sudut pandang Islam. Tujuan Penelitian  ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan maqashid syariah pada perusahaan rintisan teknologi startup Islam pada yang dibagi dalam lima dimensi, yaitu dimensi melindungi agama, dimensi melindungi jiwa, dimensi melindungi akal, dimensi melindungi keturunan, dan dimensi melindungi harta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian campuran dengan teknik pengambilan data berupa wawancara mendalam depth interview dan kuesioner kepada karyawan startup dengan indikator yang telah divalidasi oleh expert judgement . Hasil penelitian ini adalah nilai rata-rata tingkat implementasi maqashid syariah pada startup Yawme sebesar 91%, nilai nilai rata-rata tingkat implementasi maqashid syariah pada startup Learn Quran sebesar 88% dan nilai rata-rata tingkat implementasi maqashid syariah pada startup HL sebesar 78% Kata Kunci: agama, jiwa, akal, keturunan, harta ABSTRACTCurrently, startups play an important role in the world economy. But research on startups in an Islamic perspective is still rare. Therefore the research examines startups from an Islamic perspective. The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of Maqashid sharia in Islamic startups (startup) companies in those divided into five dimensions, namely dimensions of protecting religion, dimensions protecting the soul, dimensions protecting reason, dimensions protecting offspring, and dimensions protecting property. The research method used is a mixed research method with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews and questionnaires to startup employees with indicators that have been validated by expert judgment. The results of this study are the average level of implementation of maqashid sharia at Yawme startup at 91%, the average value of the level of implementation of maqashid sharia in Learn Quran startups is 88% and the average level of implementation of maqashid syariah at HL startup is 78%.Keywords: Religion, Soul, Mind, Offspring, Property
